I'm sorry to do this here. As a locally owned business I hoped to address this directly but your website does not have a place for direct feedback. If you are the owners and care about community as much as your website says, take a look at your camera footage on August 11, 2026 between. 8:45 and 9:10am ish. Just the facts. We ordered and sat like everyone else. Received our food after the two groups behind us who ordered well after us got theirs. Most were Veterans so I appreciate that and would hope this was the reason. Once our food was dropped the server asked if there was anything else and I said I'd take a refill of coffee (empty). As I observed the room, the tables around us were getting really attentive service. Refills galore, conversation... I had to go to the counter to refill my coffee as I saw a server walk past our table and refill the cups at the window while ours remained empty. I got up, walked past all the servers and went to the counter where I got my first cup of coffee. After a while without anyone checking on us (again, all other tables were getting some really good 5 star service) I went to the counter to get a refill of water (empty) and a young girl who I overheard said she just graduated from high school stopped me and asked if I needed a refill. She was your bright spot. The rest of the staff just stood talking as u walked past them. It wasn't even busy. As I saw tables about to leave they were offered a cup of coffee to go. Thanked for coming in and probably would give 5 stars on a review. I made eye contact to the middle age female server and she quickly looked away. So did another young server who I saw refilling coffee. My previous review of here was 5 stars. I recommended coming here because this is our second time and my first was outstanding. Not playing the card, just the facts. We are the three Asians on the 4 top next to the booths by the kitchen entrance. Watch the entire service. I have a rule that if I really like a place I'd go back and even buy a shirt if available. I bought a shirt after my first visit but I'll holster the shirt. I'm huge on loyalty and sorry to say, this was lost. We left the cold, unwelcoming restaurant without any one of your staff saying a word. Not the type of place I'd return to. Got there JUST IN TIME to avoid a long wait ... before 10 Once you're inside the door there is lots to entertain you, should you have to wait. Southern humor on coffee cup, cookbook, and other paraphernalia to entertain you or to take home proof that you visited the steller Stella Souther Cafe. We arrived at 11:00 and there was already a line out the door! That should tell you something! The line went quickly. We were seated within 20 minutes! I had the Veggie Frittata. It was very good. The salad was good, but could've used a bit more dressing. My daughter had the Eggcetera, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The biscuits were fluffy and excellently prepared. This place is small. When you arrive, you wait in line to order, most of the time it stretches outside. Once when we ordered, they put it on hold until a table was available. We've worked our way through the menu, but I always go back to my favorite- the Rise and Swine.. except I ask them to put the Nashville Hot Chicken on it... trust me- this meal made me a woman, and I've had two kids. Went to try the gluten free, dairy free options. Made sure burger had mustard and no cheese and side salad had vinaigrette and no cheese since it was pecans and apples, etc. Plate arrived with cranberries and feta salad and mayo for the burger. Server grabbed another salad without cheese but said apples and pecans were not available for side salads. The receipt only showed entrees but not options or details so what can I do? I was new and alone so I didn't know that When you go to Stella's the menu is on the wall, you order and pay at the counter, then you find your own seat. Pretty cool and easy. Better than waiting for someone to seat you and then waiting for a waitress. Especially since I went here on my lunch hour. I ordered a caramel cold brew because I am so tired. Having insomnia is really difficult but the cold brew did its job. I also had the pumpkin spice french toast which is actually a biscuit. It had the most tastiest whipped cream or dollop of cream for the french toast. I got the 1/2 order as I wasn't too hungry I just wanted to try out this place. It was my first trip to Stella today. I'm so glad we went early because the reviews on Yelp are not wrong. The restaurant has a delicious menu for breakfast and lunch goers. The cashier was extremely friendly and helpful when it came to making a decision about which menu options to try. Since it was brunch I shared a carafe of Raspberry Mint Mimosa with my date. It was very tasty. I enjoyed the veggie frittata that was paired with a fresh strawberry salad. My date enjoyed the fried chicken and French toast. It was so tasty with the house pepper syrup. Both choices were great. I ended up purchasing a traveler's mug because it comes with unlimited refills for life. The server even offered to wash the new container before I left so I could have a drink to go. I also purchased some funny stickers to decorate my mug with. I simply had to update my review because wow stella definitely now deserves 5 stars!!! This place goes above and beyond to make high quality, from scratch, flavorful food. My favorite for lunch is the shrimp and grits- it's the best in town and probably the best I have had. I also really enjoy their breakfast selections. Their homemade biscuits are amazing. This has become one of our go to place. Even more recently, they decided to go away from seed oils so that even gave them more points in my book. The kids meals are great- a good amount of food for a good price. I enjoy their lattes as well. One of my other favorites here is the veggie frittata with extra of the delicious dill sauce- I also like to get the cheese grits with it instead of the salad because i just can't eat a salad for breakfast. This place is a local gem and can get very busy but they have good and fast service. The inside of course is super cute and quaint- They were spot on with the style when they designed it. Seeing how packed this place was, we were concerned that we wouldn't be able to find a seat after placing our order. However, Stella has an interesting solution for this. Before paying for our order, we would wait at the cashier until the staff finds available seating for us. That's just brilliant. And we were glad we waited instead of giving up.
