It was all great, except the peppers tasted strangely sweet and a little spicy like pepperoncinies instead of green peppers. I liked that it was served at a hot temperature. The guy putting the veggies on the sandwich seemed a little too enthusiastic with his small talk with my husband and it was a turn off to me. I love this place. My favorite is the #8 club sub. However, they have the annoying habit of leaving the bacon off the sandwich. I won't order it to go anymore because they're not dependable. And when you order in store, they ask you if you want the bacon, which is also annoying. A club is just another ham and turkey sandwich without the bacon. Get it together, folks! I absolutely love this Jersey Mike's location! Everytime I've gone in there, the vibes and attitude are always pleasant, polite, professional, empathetic, and compassionate! Their subs are some of the best that I've ever had and one of my favorite subs at Jersey Mike's is the Original Italian sub. I definitely recommend this Jersey Mike's location over the one off of Jones Crossing. I left my review on that one just a bit ago, from my experience over at that one from earlier this evening, and gave my two cents and what not. I will from now on, go to this Jersey Mike's location from now on. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I'll get there as soon as possible in the near future hopefully. I've been here many times now and it is consistently good. I got a giant club and split it with my wife, we both very much enjoyed it. We did the ordering through the app and I have to dock a point because I don't believe it ever asked if I want it "Mike's Way" and sure enough when we got the sandwich, it was not how we like it. It had no dressing on it at all. For those of you who don't know, Mike's Way covers the sandwich with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil, and spices. In my opinion, it is the way to go and adds a lot of great flavor. I've eaten inside and it has a plenty nice atmosphere. The service is always good but they don't have any time for small talk -- they just wanna make your sandwich and keep the line moving. I guess I get it. read more

Good location, I came in yesterday to grab lunch for my co-worker and I , I have always been a fan , food is consistently great at every I go to. What impressed me yesterday is that when I came in , one of the staff members was giving a new team member a tour of the store and explaining every area of the store and the different things for each. It impressed me that the young man doing the training was very engaged and you could clearly tell he enjoyed his job and was imparting that to the new team member. For some reason, I am eating and drinking a lot in high quality chains. Jersey Mike's Subs. Chick-fil-A. Dutch Brothers. Chain food used to mean mediocre food. McDonald's was "an exception kind of sort of" just being dependably average. What has happened has been a bifurcation of the chain food population. The lower half has gone into cost cutting mode. Those places are awful beyond belief. McDonald's continues to hold as the defender of the solid respectable average. (Which on chain food means above average.) But there are now chains that serve legitimate high quality food. Jersey Mike's is among them. * * * I am from the East Coast. I grew up eating in East Coast Sub Shops. I will personally vouch for the fact that Jersey Mikes would be in the top 10-15% of those 1960's East Coast Sub Shops. There were legendary places with amazing cooks who did amazing things. In Texas - look for indie sub shops run by immigrants - typically Central American immigrants. (Check out Bella Donna Subs in Far Southeast Austin if you want to see what the indies can do.) But for mainstream heart and soul Northeastern Subs, it is hard to beat Jersey Mikes. Yeah, the old New England places could also serve you a lasagna or a pizza. But on the subs themselves Jersey Mike's has it down. One secret is the spice mix they put on the cold subs. This is what the East Coast places did. Jersey Mike's spice mix is somewhat better. One secret is that they have studied their ancestors in Philly and have really mastered the Philadelphia Cheesesteak sub. They have a straight traditional Philly Cheesesteak. They also have a "Texas" version with jalapenos and supplemental ingredients to back up the jalapenos. On the menu this appears as the "Big Kahuna". The Big Kahuna is to die for. Management exerts tight quality control over the individual outlets - So there is no risk of running into a franchisee who is letting things go to hell. (The contrast with Burger King is striking here.) This has all the promise of consistency of the chain food concept With none of the downsides. * * * A good East Coast Style Italian Sub. Wife had to go to Doctor today, flu. On the way home she said she was hungry. There was a Jersey Mikes on 6 , in College Station, TX, so I pulled into the parking lot. I went to the Jersey Mike app, learned that Jersey Mikes was 92 feet away. I Completed the sign up which took a few minutes. Once completed, I went to the website of Jersey Mikes which was 92 feet away clicked on order now and was asked to select a location. I had already selected the location, I was 92 feet away and looking at the storefront. I had to enter my address which didn't bring up the Jersey Mikes I was 92 feet away. Long story short, I gave up. My wife said, just go in and order, I want to go home. So I pulled forward 92 feet, parked and went inside. There was one customer sitting at a table and three girls behind the counter. I approached the counter, the person nearest the cash register, and said, I'd like a #2 and a #13 to go. The person at the register said I would have to place my order at a he end of the counter with the girl who was twilling her thumbs. Reminder, there was one customer sitting at a table. No other customers were in the establishment other than the 3 counter girls. It occurred to me the girl at the register could have told the girl, doing nothing, I need a #2 and an#13, and then rang me up. Before I retired I owned and operated a small business. If I had employees with this lack of progressive response, I would have fired them on the spot. It was lunch time, you had one customer sitting at a table probably having gone to the girl at the end of the counter, placed his order while girl #2 behind the counter started completing his order while the girl at the register took his payment. So a simple order of a #2 and #13 resulted in a totally frustrating experience, you must wonder why you only had one customer at lunch time. I told the three idle girls behind the counter I refused to patron an establishment with employees who couldn't give a shit about customers. The girl at the register said "Well, have a nice day". Here 's the results of your totally unacceptable staff. I went on line to Firehouse Subs,!completed a very simple sign up, drove to Firehouse Subs to find my order on a rack ready for pickup. By the, great subs. Jersey Mikes may have good subs? I'll never know because I'll go to McDonalds before I go to Jersey Mikes. read more

It's the right amount of everything you want... you can get the sub in 3 sizes...and they actually listen as they craft them. They are focused on my happiness and do everything really well. the service is horrible. they put online orders before people waiting in line. I stood there by myself waiting for 10 minutes before anybody even took my order telling me that it'll be a minute. I had to ask him how long it was going to be before they would tAke my order since I was the only one in the restaurant but they were busy making online sandwich orders. It literally took them four minutes to make my sandwich once they started. what's worse it was 11 am and not even busy. they need to hire Chick -fil-A managers to show them how it's done! don't go if u only have an hour for lunch. smh read more

I'm not surprised that people have already found ways to bash a new business in town but I completely disagree with their review. I'm so excited to have jersey Mikes in town and especially south college station! I went on the opening day and of course it was a mad house because jersey mikes has delicious subs. It's never going to be as fast as jimmy Johns but that's ok because it's more fresh- they cut their meat right in front of you. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other subs. I had the Italian and while it looked small whenever he was making it, it was actually a good size and was very filling- lots of meat and toppings- my favorite thing is their hot pepper relish! Great customer service- happy works here! Other people need to get online and give jersey mikes the review they deserve to help them out because there were so many people there loving their experience! I will be going back and bringing my husband soon and using one of their current coupon deals! This is the second time we've been to this location and each time our order was messed up. I'm not sure how the Wellborn Road location can be so much better than this one, but it is. My husband and I instantly got hooked on Jersey Mike's when we discovered it about 4 months ago. Today I decided to try a different location that I had only tried one other time during lunch and it was pretty packed. 8 people ahead of me but I didn't mind because I wanted my sub! While watching the employees try to get the line down as fast as possible I noticed that no one had been changing their gloves. I didn't pay much attention because the person making the subs stuck to stubs but the cashier was switching back and forth from register to making subs. I watched her a littler more closely and realized that after each transaction she was not changing her gloves. The gloves that she touched the register with, touched a cleaning rag and touched a few other boxes with. I understand that there was a longer line but changing gloves should be a top priority especially during these times. read more

Recently stopped here on the way home from Houston. I had had it before in my home state of VA but it was probably over 5 years ago. My husband is a huge fan of subway wraps so I was scared he wouldn't like it. Let's just say after trying it on a Sunday we were back on Monday to get lunch there. When we went back on Monday I checked the sun and wrap once I got in the car and they forgot to add my bacon (had done an online order before leaving home) and they were really nice about adding it. I'm convinced we will probably be visiting here at least once a week. I've had jimmy johns a few times and this is way better. Only thing I wish is that they would build one on the other side of town closer to university or Texas ave but either way I will drive a little out my my normal area for these subs. read more

Today we popped in for sandwiches to take to the park. The staff were nice and the food is fresh and very tasty. Our problem was leaving without all the correct sandwiches. When we arrived at the park we realized we were short a sandwich for my niece. My brother called them on the phone and they realized the mix up (apparently had a hot sandwich and the person who ordered the hot sandwich got her cold one). A few minutes later they delivered it to the park (we were about 5 minutes away) and provided us with 2 free sandwich coupons. I can't speak to how they were on the phone but I was really impressed with their service in correcting the error. It was quick and generous. They are good and I definitely recommend them! This was our first time trying this place. The customer service was fine. But it was very slow getting everyone's order taken care of as they slice all of the cheese and meat and only have 1 slicer machine- it makes it take much longer to get your food. One would assume since the price point is higher that the product itself would be quality but sadly this just isn't the case. The food wasn't great. It was just okay. Really bland. I had the Italian style sub and the bread was soggy and falling apart. Again, it was very bland. The bread tasted very manufactured and not freshly made. They also forgot to put mayonnaise on our subs. Overall I felt like my experience was "mediocre" at best. And I should have just gone to Jimmy Johns. Worst customer service experience. The assistant manager Mason, was late on an online order, mislabeled all 5 sandwiches and completely messed one up. When we drove back to the store to get if fixed, he offered zero apologies and laughed at our request for a refund. The food and customer service has always been good in the past but if this manager is the new normal, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
