a sandwich and a bag of chips

Ordered #5 combo with extra Mayo, add ham, and salt and vinegar chips. I ordered online and tipped 15% in advance. I received Jalapeño chips and no Mayo or no ham on the sandwich.

It's very rare that you find authentically nice people. It was one of this mornings that nothing went right and my husband and I were starving. We had gone to 10 places and no one served lunch foods at 8am. We happened to drive by and saw the neon lights hoping they were open. We went to open the doors and they were locked. Immediately the 2 gentleman inside waved that they would come open it for us. They immediately helped with recommending the best sandwich and fresh bread came straight out of the oven. It was still warm when I took a bite. After talking with Kadeem, the GM, he told us that they normally don't open til 10. But he totally saved us today!

Love this place! The bread is always fresh. It's a cold sub, not a hot hoagie (at least that's the terminology I use to distinguish the two). The meats are always fresh and tasty. The big John (roast beef) and the Vito (Italian) are my go-to. The guys that work here are great. Friendly and fast. Your order is ready in what feels like seconds. I love the decor here. Lots of things to look at. Even though it looks busy it doesn't distract or annoy you. Get a whole pickle spear or bag of chips or be like me and get both with your meal! I have never been disappointed with a trip to Jimmy John's.

Jimmy Johns makes a decent sub. They make it super fast with fresh ingredients! It's a good meal when you have limited time. We ordered the roast beef sub and it was good. The staff was nice and the order was accurate. This location hasn't disappointed me yet.

This was my first and probably the last time I get food to go from here! I didnt receive a greeting and i informed the cashier that this was my first time here. I always thought that these subs are grilled (I confused them with another chain) and asked for a philly cheese steak sub. "No we dont make that" was the reply from the cashier. I picked the #5 which was an italian combo. First off you cant see any of the toppings and I asked for black olives...none...I did get the normal lettuce tomato and onion as well as hot peppers. The bread wasnt squishy fresh and it seemed a little hard. I got home as I ordered my sub to go and doctored it up with more oil and vinegar and pepper. The sub tasted good but the friendliness and toppings werent what i expected. I tried it and i wasnt impressed.

Taste and quality I have no complaints about, but today I ordered a #16 and was given a #13. Ok, already mad because I have to eat a veggie sub and not a Turkey bacon but whatever I dont have time to go back and I could probably use the healthier choice. Then I open the sub and that's when I really got pissed, how the heck due you even charge for this? 2 cucumber slices 2 tomatoes and an ounce of lettuce. Are you kidding me?

The "almost" part was simply the bread was not toasted quite enough to add texture to each soft, creamy bite. My vodka chicken was FANTASTICALLY FIRE! That Vodka sauce, crispy Cutler AND bread were so good but that pasto drizzle sauce took it beyond and chicken parm ever has! The only problem I have (not all) that the breadcrumbs on almost all cutlets are loaded with salt. By the time you add the salt from the sauce, bread, etc., all saucy cutlet sandwiches bite you back on that 1st bite. This one did that also. I feel someone should invent low sodium breadcrumbs JUST FOR chicken cutlet sandwiches. Nevertheless, that pesto sauce seduced my jaws to muscle through and enjoy ever salty bite! Service was a 3 star bc they clearly want you to order from your table. There is a QR bribing code that if you order from your table, you get a free drink and cookie with your meal. Perfect... for antisocials and non-Gen Zers! I was not told this by the ho-hum cashier where I ordered from. I just believe that all cashiers should have a 15 second smile minimum. Although there was a person, cleaning and clearing the tables periodically, our booth was not wiped down. A great surprise was the 2 free cookies I assume they gave for mentioning it was our 1st time there. Parking, in and outdoor seating, and the self serve fountain drinks made it easy to sit and start. Overall, we would definitely be back...especially to try there different daily specials! Enjoy, and God bless!!

I grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania and back home, subs are called hoagies. In other parts of the country they might be subs or heroes, but not where I'm from. The other regional staple is that we always have birch beer at our hoagie shops. Now, living in South Florida, I rarely find birch beer, but when I do, it's a great day. Well, Laspada has birch beer. On tap. I was in heaven. The other great thing about this place is that the way they make the sandwiches. I'll save the actual construction as a surprise, because you have to see it to believe it, but they put meat on the bread, then load it up with whatever it is you want in the way of vegetation, then more meat on top! This place is awesome! Unless you're a vegan, but then you wouldn't be going to a hoagie shop, so it doesn't matter. But for normal people, it's incredible! Hands down this is my favorite hoagie/sub/hero shop in the area. And they have more than one location so I can get a hoagie pretty much anytime I want one.

Walking into LaSpada's Original Hoagies isn't just ordering lunch, it's stepping into a deli version of a live sporting event. There's energy, there's precision, and yes, there's the legendary "airmail" toss of freshly sliced meat flying down the line like it's got somewhere important to be. Blink and you miss it. Smile and you're part of it. I went with my go-to: the Italian. And not just any Italian... this thing shows up dressed to impress. We're talking Boar's Head ham, cappy, pastrami, and provolone, sliced fresh right in front of you, then launched with deli theatrics onto perfectly waiting Italian bread. From there, it gets piled high with crisp veggies and those Italian peppers that quietly steal the show. Every bite hits like it's been rehearsing for years. Somewhere around bite three, I had a moment of clarity: "This isn't a sandwich... it's a commitment." Plot twist... you think you're just grabbing lunch. You're not. You're entering into a multi-meal agreement. A large sub here doesn't just feed you, it sticks with you. Lunch today, lunch tomorrow, maybe a late-night "just one more bite" situation. It's generous in a way that feels personal. My wife ordered the roast beef, and wow. Perfectly rare, ridiculously tender, sliced fresh and yes, sent flying down the line like it had a boarding pass. It was the kind of sandwich that makes you reconsider your own order mid-bite. Quick detour, because it deserves it... the homemade macaroni salad. I don't throw this around lightly, but I'd put it up against anyone's for best in class. Creamy, balanced, and somehow disappears faster than you expect. That's not an accident. And then you remember... this place took home "Best Sub in South Florida" from the Sun-Sentinel in 2025. Not surprising. Honestly, it feels overdue. Micro twist: you walk in thinking you'll try something new next time. You won't. You'll be back for the same order, and you'll be happy about it. After 25+ years in Coral Springs, they're not just consistent, they're automatic. The kind of place where you don't wonder if it'll be good... you just decide how hungry you are. Highest recommendation. Five stars, no hesitation. Final thought: Some places make sandwiches. LaSpada's Original Hoagies makes believers.

FIVE STARS. GAS STATION? YES. GAS STATION? ALSO YES…read more Let's get something straight. Some of the best food on earth comes from places that look like you shouldn't trust them. Gas stations. Side streets. Tiny counters with three tables and a refrigerator humming in the corner. I saw WhatSub on Yelp and thought, "Alright. Let's see if the hype survives State Road 7." It didn't just survive. It flexed. I am fully on board with five-star gas station cuisine. In fact, I seek it out. And WhatSub doesn't just play the game -- it competes internationally. This place comes dangerously close to Sandwich Master in Turin, Italy. I'm not exaggerating. And it narrowly beats out Generoso's in Coral Springs, which is not an easy feat. The bread? Legit. The meats? Layered like someone actually respects the architecture of a sandwich. The balance? No soggy mess. No overkill. No amateur hour. And then the cannoli. Freshly piped. Not pre-filled. Not sitting there getting sad and humid. Fresh. Filled to order. Shell still crisp. Ricotta smooth and balanced -- not overly sweet, not grainy, not lazy. Best cannoli I've had in South Florida since Lorenzo's in North Miami Beach. That's not a casual comparison. That's a statement. Now let's talk atmosphere. It's technically in a gas station plaza -- and yet the owners and staff are actually speaking Italian behind the counter. Not performative. Not touristy. Just normal conversation like you accidentally stepped into a deli in Torino. It feels real. So real that I went back the next day. And then again. I am not joking. When I ask myself, "What was my favorite thing?" the answer is dangerous: Everything I ordered. Cold subs. Hot subs. Cannoli. Repeat. This is the kind of place you almost don't want to write about because once the word spreads, lines get longer and secrets disappear. But credit where credit is due. WhatSub is proof that greatness doesn't need chandeliers. Sometimes it just needs good bread, proper technique, and someone who actually cares.

Came here because I saw it was a new Italian sub shop near my area. Saw good reviews and wanted to…read moretry it myself. Behind the counter was a husband/wife duo who were the business owners (didn't get their names) who stated they were from Sicily. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Arthur Ave and the Milano. The Arthur Ave is a cold sandwich that had prosciutto, arugula, stracciatella, sun dried tomato. You have a choice of bread from white, wheat rolls, and focaccia. I was informed by the husband the focaccia is made fresh daily by his wife so of course I had to try that. The wife was nice enough to let me try a sample of the prosciutto and I have to say -- it was delicious, so getting it on a sandwich was going to be a no-brainer. The Milano was for my father. Watching them make the sandwich, they put two huge pieces of chicken cutlet, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and freshly sliced mozzarella. Again, I got the focaccia bread. Both sandwich's were drizzled on the top of the focaccia bread with fresh Italian olive oil which was just the cherry on top. I had told the owners it was my first time and we had a great conversation, that they were nice enough to give me and my parents 3 free mini cannolis -- which was completely unexpected and highly appreciated! As far as the food goes, I don't have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how delicious this sandwich was. From the delicious meats, the fresh veggies, and my personal favorite part -- that focaccia bread. I would buy that alone. They had specials on their menu the day I went that was a not on their menu -- a meatball sub and arancini balls. Also, keep in mind, that this shop is inside the Mobil gas station on 441 and SW 18th. There is a sign on the outside of the gas station, but if you're driving by and unsure of the location, I can confirm it is inside the Mobil. Overall, a great experience; delicious food, great people behind the counter. Only caveat I would say is it is a little bit higher price for a sandwich, but with the current economy where a McDonalds burger is over 10 bucks, you truly get what you pay for and that is top quality, fresh and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.
