    two halves of a sandwich

A very good sandwich! I heard good things about Mama Marie's Deli in Pitman so I decided to give it a try. The first thing you notice when you walk in, is it's very small when you get inside. From the outside it looks like it has a lot of room but the inside is a dining room and a counter, and that's about it. You can order sit down breakfast or lunch, and there are cookie trays out for the holidays. The pictures on the wall were all the Italian legends. So that was a good sign for me. If I don't see a picture of Frank or Dean on the wall I question the food at the place. The place looks like it could use a woman's touch though. It definitely looks like it was decorated by a dude. When deciding on a good deli, your best choice is to try their Italian hoagie, and then try something different. The first day I tried a hot pastrami sandwich on rye. Pretty good deli meat, no fat (but I like that). I'm a fan of chopped up pastrami, this was sliced nice and thin. I always judge pastrami sandwiches next to Herschel's in the Reading terminal Market, this wasn't as good but if I don't feel like dealing with the traffic in Philly I could probably go here and get a hot pastrami sandwich. This isn't as good but when you factor in the traffic and the awful parking next to the reading terminal market this is a good replacement. They give you a good portion of meat, and I was able to have it over two meals. I paid $9.00 for the sandwich, so to stretch it over two meals, that's a decent price. Next I ordered the Italian hoagie. Very nice presentation! They give you a nice size portion, and the meat tasted very good. It cost me a total of 10 bucks for the sandwich and hot and sweet on the side. I'm a fan of Deitz Watsons cold cuts. I wonder though if I had asked for the good Italian meat, would that have cost extra. The sandwich altogether was decent. If I had one complaint, I think the lettuce could have tasted a little bit better. Overall, it's probably one of the best sandwiches you could get in this area. I'm a big fan of the White House hoagie, but if I don't feel like driving down to Atlantic City, this is a decent replacement. Overall I would give this place four stars. The only problem with this place is that it closes at 4:30. I would love it if I could order this sandwich at around 7:00 p.m. After the commute, you're home at around 6:00, so this sandwich isn't an option for you. There's really no good sandwich places in this area after 5:00 p.m. This place and Liscio's are the only places that make a decent sandwich that I would order from. Out of all the places in Glassboro and Pitman, this place has the best Italian hoagie. If you're home during the day, definitely give this place a try.

The food is delicious! The ratio of all the ingredients was perfect and great quality. The owner was so accommodating. My only regret is not going sooner

Best hoagies in south jersey. I've heard great things about this place but haven't had the chance to check it out until today! I doordashed myself from lunch as I work from home. The prices here are very affordable. I got the Auletto's and it is packed with flavor. The Roast beef is super fresh and the sauce has the perfect spice. They aren't stingy with their portions either! I can't wait to stop by in person!

the food is AMAZING and the customer service is the best part. Everyone is very friendly and you will be served like you're part of their family. And the scenery is very nice, it has Sopranos posters all around giving it a good look. PS everything is made fresh nothing microwaved, it's perfect, and the food was so good i forgot to take a picture.

Holy moly could this feed a small soccer team. They know how to make a hungry person happy I recommend you try them out! Prices super affordable, $4.75 for breakfast sandwich $1 for bagel. They cook mostly everything in house and always on point. Easy to order and pick-up, parking is easy, you can also eat right in the easeman next door with plenty of outside seating

I had my first gluten free Italian hoagie on a real roll here! It was large and delicious. I enjoyed it over 2 days! Yum! I'll be back!

Everything is housemade here. That's what drew me in for a meatball parm, which was very good. The hot roast pork is delicious. The Italian hoagie had me taking an afternoon nap and smiling through it after eating it... But their hot roast beef is melt in your mouth amazingly good. I have never had a roast beef sandwich this good before... Do not choose what to have in the order I did. I could kick myself for not having the roast beef a long time ago.

The family that owns this is awesome. My daughter in law picked up the food and they gave her an Italian hoagie for free that someone didn't pick up and threw in some free red velvet cookies which were delicious! I asked my DIL to get dessert and she got a walnut Brownie, and a huge chocolate chip cookie. So yummy! Washington township location. Highly recommend great food great service. You won't be disappointed at either location as both great food and family run.

I placed my order online and only had to wait a few minutes when I was there. One thing I wasn't nuts about was seeing a bunch of fries already packed sitting under a heat lamp when I got there. A young gentleman was packing the to go orders who seemed a little flustered which made sense cause it seemed there was a rush happening, but wound up forgetting to give me the side of cheese sauce I ordered. I should have checked myself so it's a little on me, but I did make it a point to ask him if it was in the bag and he said yes. When I tried the fries at first, they were actually excellent. Perfectly warm, crispy, and salty however after sitting out only for about 5-10 minutes, they took on a texture of staleness which was disappointing but I suppose it's from already sitting out under the lamp. I feel like if they were made to order, they'd probably stay fresher a bit longer. I got the roast pork sandwich with provolone and roasted red peppers which was very good! The pork was seasoned well, a little peppery which I love. Roasted red peppers were good too! As much as I loved it, it was absolutely swimming in juice or oil from the peppers so it was extremely messy, but again, delicious! We also ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich called the hoagie which was great. They make a wonderful cutlet! I'd for sure come back, but maybe skip the fries next time.
