Great food! Love the atmosphere when you walk in. They have so much in their menu it's hard to pick just one.

Tried this place for the first time a few weeks ago after many recommendations. Tinier place, but cute! The decor was cool and eye catching. I placed my order online and only had to wait a few minutes when I was there. One thing I wasn't nuts about was seeing a bunch of fries already packed sitting under a heat lamp when I got there. A young gentleman was packing the to go orders who seemed a little flustered which made sense cause it seemed there was a rush happening, but wound up forgetting to give me the side of cheese sauce I ordered. I should have checked myself so it's a little on me, but I did make it a point to ask him if it was in the bag and he said yes. When I tried the fries at first, they were actually excellent. Perfectly warm, crispy, and salty however after sitting out only for about 5-10 minutes, they took on a texture of staleness which was disappointing but I suppose it's from already sitting out under the lamp. I feel like if they were made to order, they'd probably stay fresher a bit longer. I got the roast pork sandwich with provolone and roasted red peppers which was very good! The pork was seasoned well, a little peppery which I love. Roasted red peppers were good too! As much as I loved it, it was absolutely swimming in juice or oil from the peppers so it was extremely messy, but again, delicious! We also ordered a chicken cutlet sandwich called the hoagie which was great. They make a wonderful cutlet! I'd for sure come back, but maybe skip the fries next time. read more

Very busy during lunch time on a week day. Took about 20-25 minutes after I ordered. I got the Buffalo chicken Caesar sandwich. Huge portions and they filled it! Definitely messy to eat. The chicken cutlet was crispy. The Caesar salad was freshly made. This sandwich exceeded my expectations. Would recommend everyone to try this place out. read more

Not bad but not the best cheesesteak either. All I could taste was American cheese even though I asked for cooper sharp , fried onions , seeded roll. I'm pretty sure it was American. But wasn't what I was expecting so there's that. The roast beef round roll was decent. Nice portion but you definitely need Aujus as it's a little dry. But with the aujus it was tasty. The fries were just sad. All I could say, no salt pepper seasoning nothing. Just sad and soggy. I ordered that Florida in and out also to try. It was like a panzarotti, crispy , but so salty I couldn't eat that. Looks good but wayyy too salty. The dough was super salty. So nah not for me. Wasn't the best. Ordered at 3:30 PM for 1 Chicken Caesar Wrap, 1 Buffalo Chicken Wrap, and 2 large fries for pickup at 4:00 PM on a Friday. Walked in, paid, and waited an additional 45 minutes for it. I watched the 2 large fries sit under a heat lamp for 20 plus minutes while waiting for the 2 wraps. Walk-ins were told as I was waiting around that it will be over an hour for a Chicken Caesar Wrap. LOL! Well, for 2 cold fries, and lukewarm Chicken Caesar Wrap it's definitely not worth the wait, and definitely not worth the hype. Sadly, we won't be a returning customer. Hidden gem in Washington Township!!! I honestly think it's the best hot sandwich spot in the area. We've tried lots of items there. They have fresh cut fries, my son loves their cheeseburger. My faves are the Leo and chicken cutlet hoagie! The staff is wonderful and friendly. I recommend ordering online ahead of time. read more

Recently moved back to NJ from TX and we're getting caught up on the new sandwich shops that have opened up near us. This place being one of the top on our list and it was AMAZING! The inside had bar-top seating where you could watch the cooks as well as a simple indoor dining experience with clean plating, nostalgic signs, paintings, and posters. My significant other ordered the cheesesteak and I ordered the House Beef Roast Sandwich and it was AMAZING. This was my first time trying a roast beef sandwich and the flavorful aioli they added to the sandwich helped lighten up the flavor while not taking away from the yummy staples of roast beef and aus jus. Will definitely be adding this place to our weekly rotation and am excited to try their buffalo chicken Caesar salad sandwich next! read more

Apparently, my grandmother was reincarnated as a sandwich shop in my neighborhood. When I was a kid, my grandmother would often make us eggs and potatoes with peppers and onions for breakfast. Besides her veal cutlets or Sunday gravy, this was probably my favorite thing she made for me. My grandfather would put it on a kaiser roll with long hots. My grandmother hasn't been with us since I was 7 years old (I'm 41 now) but her spirit is alive and well slinging sandwiches out of this shop. Today, I ordered eggs and potatoes with peppers and onions on a kaiser roll and after opening the wrapper, I was instantly transported back into grandmom's tiny kitchen table in South Philly. And grandpop would be proud--sometimes I will get it with some long hots just for him. I never expected to be moved by my breakfast...but here we are. I knew as soon as I walker into Johnny Di's that I made a good decision. Reminded me of an old school philly mom and pop type of joint - and I mean that in a very good way. A bunch of people eating around the counters, smelled great inside with the chefs working, and there was legit an Italian looking guy in an Adidas track suit. I knew at that moment these sandwiches were gonna be off the hook. Roast pork with broccoli rabe was amazing. Pork was super tender, broccoli rabe was nice and garlicky, but that roll though. That seeded perfectly crunchy on the outside but airy on the inside roll? You could put a sock on bread that good and it would still be a great sandwich. Not sure if they make them in house or not...but wow. Chicken cutlet sandwich also had great flavor and held it's own. I will 100% be back when I'm in the area. Very impressed. Great sandwich place in Sewell. My favorite was the roast beef sandwich with fried onions. Excellent sandwich! I was not a big fan of broccoli rabe with the pork sandwich next time I will not order it with the rabe. Pork was tasty. Fries were fresh and tasty. Incredible Chicken Caesar Wrap! I had been craving a good one for so long and this exceeded my expectations. HUGE portion (enough for two meals), really tasty cutlets and perfect ratio of ingredients. My husband picked up a Caesar wrap for me and a buffalo one for himself. We each ate half of one and were stuffed. He said the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Wish I took a picture to share but I was too excited. This will be our new go-to! read more

Roast Beef sandwich was off the chart! Loaded with beef. The gravy fried was delicious, fresh, crunchy, and smothered with beef, beef drippings and gravy. Being from South Philly it was great to find this hidden gem in Jersey. We will definitely be trying all their menu items! I'm looking for a local Tony Lukes rival. I'm still looking. When I want what I want there is a $6.75 toll from the Ville to south Philly. Continued search for some place close although this shop is pretty cool. They have South Philly style but Philly pork has that juice. I didn't recognize it here . It did not have the juice. First time ordering here. The only issue is why we waited so long to do so. We ordered the roast pork sandwich and roast beef special. Both were excellent. The sandwiches were loaded and flavorful. My family and I have been here several times. The owner and his staff are always friendly and helpful. Very clean shop. The food has always been spot on. Great portions. Fresh made to order and the menu has expanded to cover exactly what you'd want in a local shop like this. Breakfast is awesome. Lunch is just as excellent. You can't go wrong here.
