Brilliant business model- sandwich shop on the busiest street in Oxford at noon with the door locked paying a guy to open it to turn away customers to tell them maybe they could get a sandwich in an hour after they're done with their catering order instead of making them a sandwich. "What the damn hell Earl?" First order they dropped the food outside the fence by the gate. "Delivery" means delivering. The food was, to be generous, mediocre at best. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I recently was a part of a group order, which took over an hour to come. NOT freaky fast in my opinion! Upon the order arriving we noticed most of our items missing, including the chips and ranch. After waiting an hour and paying the expensive cost of $27 for two sandwiches and a side, we still were not anywhere close to being satisfied. We immediately called to see if we could have them delivered, they told us it could be even longer than the hour we just waited or we could have a $5 credit. This is absolutely absurd and when I asked for my tip to be taken off the transaction, that was also refused. The manager I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude and insisted that he was too busy and this was the only option. The last time I was a part of an order there were also missing items and it took over an hour and a half for the remainder to be delivered. I told the manager this as well - he didn't seem to care. We have ordered the 30 piece sub party pack several times for tailgates at Miami University. The bread is so fresh and the sandwiches are delicious. They have a packaged 30 piece you can order or alternatively you can specify the variety of subs you want. Be sure they give you a package of individual mayonnaise and mustards packs too. At the time of this review they requested you order 24 hours in advance. Highly recommend for parties. read more

This place is terrible. I keep going back thinking it will be different...the definition of insanity. Went in today and they were again out of lettuce for unwhiches (same thing happened 2 mos ago)...can nobody run to Kroger and solve the problem? They were also out of fountain Diet Coke, but they don't mention that when you buy a drink (and there are no other diet options). The lady behind me asked if they had any bottles or cans of Diet Coke or other diet anything and when they said no she asked for a refund, which I should have done but I didnt want to inconvenience them. The biggest problem I had was the music they played for the store. The F-word was used at least 5 times in less than 3 minutes. I did get up and asked them to change the music...so they shut it off, which was fine but odd to me, like they have no clean music they can play. I did write a review to Corporate Jimmy John's, which asks for your phone & email, and I am sure gets turned over to the local store manager to handle the complaint, instead of doing some "Undercover Boss" check by a regional manager or something. Well the strangest thing happened to me today... Today I got a call with No Caller ID, (which I tend to answer only if my kids are not at home in case it's an emergency), and the person on the other line said, in an attempted disguised voice, "Fuck You, Bitch". So, I immediately called the store and it is a definite possibility that the call came from that worker from his blocked cell phone. I love JJ but this store needs a serious management/training change. I get that good employees may be in short supply these days, but this place is consistently ridiculous! PS-When we were there 2 mos ago and they were out of lettuce leaves, they were also out of bread! But the store was still open. ???? Customer service was terrible. Manager very rude. Waited an hour for my order to be delivered to still be wrong and forgot ingredients including cheese that I paid for. Was very belligerent when talking to me about order because I asked for store number and they proceeded to be rude and hang up on me because they said I wanted the number to complain. And was but was not rude to them just politely asked. They kept trying to avoid giving me store number to avoid me contacting corporate. Also was told my complaint would not be valid because online it says an hour and a half delivery time which was false but I also ordered over the phone not online. For a graduation party we ordered a sandwich platter. Ordered well in advance of the day. The sandwiches were so disappointing. If only it were possible to give zero stars.... Rarely is my order right! How hard is it to leave the bread in and put extra lettuce on the damn sandwich? Several times now I've had incomplete orders (a missing drink or forgotten bag of chips) with the apologies of the delivery guy claiming that I would be reimbursed for the missing items...but the management refuses to honor it. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION. Came into this Jimmy John's on Mom's Weekend with about 5 moms and 5 daughters. We were standing as a group, talking at a normal sound level. They had maybe one or two other customers in the store. Our friends (one mother and one daughter) walked into the store and said "hey!" The Jimmy John's manager YELLED at all of the girls to stop screaming (his scream at our DAUGHTERS was louder than we ever were in the store all talking at the same time). Then, the manager told us all that we had to leave or they were going to call 911. It's not like the store had any customers coming in that they couldn't serve. The manager completely took advantage of the kids. Most of us were eating something that we had bought from them, and we all had to leave. EXTREMELY rude and disappointing. They also do not allow you to use their bathroom after 12am because they consider it "Hazardes waste" but it is open until 3am. Makes a lot of sense. A normal restaurant would give you a heads up that delivery would take long because they are busy. The go to place for subs in Oxford. Always fast and comparatively cheap. The subs are not the absolute best you can get, but they are tasty and satisfy. Sometimes the place is incredibly busy and gets backed up a bit, but other than that the service is great. read more
