There's nothing fast about this location during the day. It's faster to pick it up if you are close by.

Tasty food and fun staff. I just order a classic sandwich and it all comes out great. Plus the parking is a big plus.

Thank goodness... we still have Cecil's in the Twin Cities!!!…read more The mood, the relaxed comfortable and kind staff who do not rush you to sit rush you to order. Instead EVERYONE is 100 % natural welcoming laid back and genuine in wanting to see you content and pleased. Nothing is ever pushed onto you. The quality of the pastrami, its seasoning, the textures and bright flavors of the breads and bagels the nova the chopped liver the extra creamy marinated Cole slaw and perfect half sour pickles ( wISH they had bialys!). All perfect. All old world. Our favorite very old deli in West Palm Beach was sold 1.5 years ago and gone gone gone are the DELIGHTFUL happy charming old staff and the perfect old world flavors, cooking. In Sarasota where we just lived the last 5 years, a new deli closed after just 2 years, and there is nothing left. We've been visiting family in Sarasota every year for 40 years. Gone too in the Twin Ciries is the ownership by brothers Scot and Stu of Hopkin's beloved Crossroads Deli just last year. The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. Mmmmmm. I hope and pray Cecil's owner refrains for a long long time from selling his rare business. We must support Cecil's too.... Or lose it with all the others, and lose part of our joy and heart. Thank you Cecil's .....

Old school all the way. There's a restaurant in the back, and a full-scale deli counter in the front. It is such a good stop. They have their own private parking lot too. Wood paneling, and a bunch of local reviews all over the walls. Clean, normal sound. Simple, with excellent customer service, and a huge menu that will have something that you like. Packed the midweek afternoon we visited, and we did not wait for a table. Loved my bowl of Matzo Soup, superb broth and the Matzo was delicious. Enjoyed my BLT on whole wheat and the homemade potato salad was amazing! Had a cherry cobbler for dessert that was incredible. Restaurant has been open for over 70 years, and I met the owner/manager, Cecil, afterward, and he just oozes customer service being a priority. It's a must-visit place.

The biscuits and pie are always very good. Mini pies and by the slice satisfy the sweet and savory fixes for the week. This past weekend, I tried a new lox biscuit that had recently been added. It was delicious! Coastal Seafoods in a few doors down. I don't know if that's where they source salmon. It was silky and tasty. What really impresses me are the eggs. They are perfect! Sunnyside up with a crown of egg white cradling a perfectly runny yolk. These are so consistent. Staff are very friendly. You order at the counter and they serve you at the table. My neighborhood is a few blocks east. But Snelling and Selby Avenues are St Paul's own little Eat Street. The news that Groundswell in the Midway neighborhood was very sad. If you are looking for a similar level of deliciousness, head down to Hot Hands.

The staff was friendly and welcoming in spite of the waiting crowd. We took advantage of the Bogo and enjoyed the banana cream and lemon meringue pies. The banana cream was yummy with fresh bananas and whipped cream. The lemon meringue was tangy and delicious. The CRUST on both was sooooo good. Real crust that stood up to the wonderful abundant fillings. The ham and cheese popovers were delicious and flavorful the next day. We'll be back for the key lime experience!

Mistake, or just one of those situations where they judge the strips to be a little short so they compensate with an extra. Whatever, I found them nicely flavored and ever so slightly overdone. Really only a touch, and you gotta admit that's better than the opposite problem. It came with plenty of dipping sauce, chosen out of a wide spice range. I got medium ("Coop") and liked it very much, I would get that exact one again unless I wanted to try other ones which seems like it might be a good idea. Also it came with a side of mac & cheese (substituted from fries) and that was very good. I will DEFINITELY get that again. This is a nice, quick, easy chicken option.

Space is utilitarian. I would probably always get it to go after being in the space. The staff were nice, and the food was ready when promised. All three eaters gave the food a C or C+ rating. The fries were the best part, very good - even after being in a to go container. Had we reinvigorated them in the air fryer they would have been even better. Chicken was good, but not great. Spice level was accurate. Cole slaw was warm, which is not a temperature cole slaw should be. The sauce that comes with is not my thing, and the 16 year old said it was a copy or Raising Canes sauce. Overall not a bad experience by any means, we just won't be hurrying back.

The kitchen is only open for breakfast and lunch service M-F, but if you stop by outside of those hours you can still grab stuff from the cold case! The pita chips ($3.99) are always a must for me, and I usually pair with the labneh ($4.99), a Lebanese yogurt chese, which is AMAZING but they were out today--but Ed was kind enough to give us a complimentary tub of the baba ganoush ($5.29) to try which was delicious!! My go-to here is always the chicken + garlic sandwich ($10). I've tried the bowl, I've tried the falafel, but that sandwich is just TOO good. Comes with lettuce, pickles, and fries on it, with the option to add jalapeños--and I always do! You can add a side of fries to any entree for $1.50 which is a steal--items all made to order, so the sandwich comes out fresh and the fries are hot and crispy every time! The food is best when it's fresh out of the kitchen; so it was really cool to see today that they've added a couple of tables--two small standing hi-tops in the store, and a couple of picnic tables outside. It may be unassuming from the outside, but don't be fooled--Ed's packs an absolute punch of flavor and is one of my favorite spots in the metro.
