Solid chicken place. Pretty no-frills as far as decor but they're clearly going for decent food. I ordered the 3-strip combo and I wound up with four strips. Mistake, or just one of those situations where they judge the strips to be a little short so they compensate with an extra. Whatever, I found them nicely flavored and ever so slightly overdone. Really only a touch, and you gotta admit that's better than the opposite problem. It came with plenty of dipping sauce, chosen out of a wide spice range. I got medium ("Coop") and liked it very much, I would get that exact one again unless I wanted to try other ones which seems like it might be a good idea. First experience here, and was driven to try it due to a Delta skymiles perk. We ordered to go and I arrived early and food was not ready, totally fine, I was early. Space is utilitarian. I would probably always get it to go after being in the space. The staff were nice, and the food was ready when promised. All three eaters gave the food a C or C+ rating. The fries were the best part, very good - even after being in a to go container. Had we reinvigorated them in the air fryer they would have been even better. Chicken was good, but not great. Spice level was accurate. Cole slaw was warm, which is not a temperature cole slaw should be. The sauce that comes with is not my thing, and the 16 year old said it was a copy or Raising Canes sauce. Their spice levels range from none to very hot, I got the middle ground and it was just right. Their coleslaw and pickles were very good, and the fries were excellent, huge portion. You order at their counter and they bring it right to you, good service. There's not much to the restaurant, only a few tables and high seats counters. The place was dead so we were the first and only ones in line :) Simple menu with just 3 selections to choose from; strips & fries ($13), strips in a bun with fries ($14), strips with Texas toast & fries ($15): with 5 levels of hotness available. Drinks are separate. We both got the Texas toast strips and fries with varying level of hotness. Food was plentiful with a generous portion of fries and sauce with coleslaw and pickles. Came out to be around $40. The food itself was ok, nothing to brag about at all. The fountain machine had multiple flat pops. There is very limited seating inside; like 4 tables with 12-16 chairs both of which have seen better days. The bathroom was dingy. The Mac and cheese is mushy and bland. Basically the noodles are way overcooked and the dish tastes like flour, not like rich cheese. The tenders are always way too dry. Between the dry rub and the type of dry breading mix used, the only way to make these palatable is to drown them in the sauce. You need to try out Raising Canes for an example of what to aspire to. It pains me to say that as I'm very anti-chain. Also your dining area is way too loud when there are only a few people talking. Sound just bounces off of everything. Put up some sound absorbing tiles or something. Service was okay, not amazing. We are big NFL fans. This year we started a new tradition that also added some flair to our grocery and meal planning. We decided that for Thursday night football we would get a meal that represents the home team. For example the Chicago Bears we would get Chicago Pizza or Chicago dogs. We placed a couple of orders for some of their strips. We went with MN Nice, Mini Coop and Coop. We elected to not try Growlin or Cluckin Hot. The MN Nice was as expected, savory and nice. There was more spice in the Mini Coop and just a bit more in the Coop. Just enough to get my lips to tingle. Just about right for me however I probably could have up to the Growlin. Maybe next time. The strips are large and stayed crunchy on our drive home. Their fries are battered and in our opinion, just OK. I did not finish the sammich. 4/5 Waffle and Chicken- Comes with 1 big waffle and 3 strips, syrup, and 2 sauces. Bf got the Mn nice and it's pretty much super mild. Fries needed to be cooked another minute or two as they were not crisp enough for my liking. The coop sauce isn't as good as Canes. Service was good and food was hot and fresh.
