New! Clean interior, peppy staff and amazing subs! I don't typically see Jersey Mike's around town so it was nice to have one in Saint Paul. I believe the only other one is in Roseville? Regardless, yummy! I like this option more than Subway and Jimmy John's. Plenty of sub options offered at different sizes are what had me sold along with the Mike's Way topping which is a blended red wine vinegar and olive oil - so amazing! I'll be back for sure. Thank you! Best of luck with this new location.

The first time I tried it, my husband picked up our order. He waited quite a while for it to be ready, but it was clearly understaffed, and we aren't the type of people to complain. Despite the fact that we didn't raise any concerns, we later received a call from the manager acknowledging that service had been slow and that she had noticed him waiting for an extended period of time. She offered us a $5 credit for our next visit. That kind of unprompted gesture reflects good customer service, and we genuinely appreciated the effort. We ordered a few different wing flavors and I also tried the Rose Ddeok-Bokki (none of which I took photos of). My husband and I agreed that the chicken itself was just okay, though he did note that he liked something about the batter used for the breading. Given the price, we had higher expectations--it's fairly expensive for a relatively small amount of chicken. The Rose Ddeok-Bokki, however, was very rich and flavorful. It was my first time trying tteokbokki, and I wasn't prepared for how fishy the flavor was. I thought it was really good at first, but it became a bit overwhelming the more I ate. More recently, I decided to try their standard Ddeok-Bokki, which is less creamy and has more of a spicy kick. I ordered it without the added cheese this time, which was the right choice. My palate was more prepared for the fishy flavor, and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. That said, it is fairly spicy, so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't enjoy heat. There is another version of this dish on the menu that is apparently much spicier, placing this one in the middle of their spice scale. I did find it became overwhelming toward the end, but that was more due to the spice level than the flavor itself. Overall, I'd give it a 3/5. It's something I'd order again when I'm craving it, but when it comes to chicken, I have other go-to spots in mind.

Mistake, or just one of those situations where they judge the strips to be a little short so they compensate with an extra. Whatever, I found them nicely flavored and ever so slightly overdone. Really only a touch, and you gotta admit that's better than the opposite problem. It came with plenty of dipping sauce, chosen out of a wide spice range. I got medium ("Coop") and liked it very much, I would get that exact one again unless I wanted to try other ones which seems like it might be a good idea. Also it came with a side of mac & cheese (substituted from fries) and that was very good. I will DEFINITELY get that again. This is a nice, quick, easy chicken option.

Space is utilitarian. I would probably always get it to go after being in the space. The staff were nice, and the food was ready when promised. All three eaters gave the food a C or C+ rating. The fries were the best part, very good - even after being in a to go container. Had we reinvigorated them in the air fryer they would have been even better. Chicken was good, but not great. Spice level was accurate. Cole slaw was warm, which is not a temperature cole slaw should be. The sauce that comes with is not my thing, and the 16 year old said it was a copy or Raising Canes sauce. Overall not a bad experience by any means, we just won't be hurrying back.

The tacos and quesadillas are solid and definitely worth trying, but I've been disappointed with the burritos and the pork al pastor. The carne asada burrito looked substantial at first, but it was overwhelmingly filled with plain white rice, which made it feel bland and not what I'd expect in terms of flavor or balance. The pork al pastor was even more disappointing. It didn't resemble traditional al pastor in taste or texture. It was overly sweet, lacked depth, and the pork itself was extremely dry, unfortunately dry enough to make it difficult to finish. There are still some good items on the menu, and the service keeps me open to giving them another try but based on my experience, I wouldn't describe the food overall as authentic or five-star quality.

After reading the Yelp reviews, we chose Tavial Grill - and we were so glad we did. This is truly authentic Mexican food. I had the al pastor taco and it was absolutely delicious. The tortilla was incredibly fresh and clearly handmade, and the meat and pineapple were perfectly seasoned. My husband ordered the carnitas burrito and wow - it was huge! Definitely come hungry. He said it was packed with flavor and one of the best burritos he's had. On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding - friendly, welcoming, and efficient. Tavial Grill was well worth the short trip and far better than anything we would've found at the airport. We will definitely be back!

The kitchen is only open for breakfast and lunch service M-F, but if you stop by outside of those hours you can still grab stuff from the cold case! The pita chips ($3.99) are always a must for me, and I usually pair with the labneh ($4.99), a Lebanese yogurt chese, which is AMAZING but they were out today--but Ed was kind enough to give us a complimentary tub of the baba ganoush ($5.29) to try which was delicious!! My go-to here is always the chicken + garlic sandwich ($10). I've tried the bowl, I've tried the falafel, but that sandwich is just TOO good. Comes with lettuce, pickles, and fries on it, with the option to add jalapeños--and I always do! You can add a side of fries to any entree for $1.50 which is a steal--items all made to order, so the sandwich comes out fresh and the fries are hot and crispy every time! The food is best when it's fresh out of the kitchen; so it was really cool to see today that they've added a couple of tables--two small standing hi-tops in the store, and a couple of picnic tables outside. It may be unassuming from the outside, but don't be fooled--Ed's packs an absolute punch of flavor and is one of my favorite spots in the metro.
