We were in the area for a concert and found Jimmy Ks on YELP. The food was wonderful! Lots of flavor and all eggs cooked perfect. The hash browns were crispy and delicious! Service was excellent with coffee flowing! Great find! read more

Pains me to write this but since the new ownership has come in, the place has gone downhill. The meals and service are both not what they were. The prices have gone up. Last two times our orders have been wrong. The home fries don't have that nice crisp anymore. They're just cubes of boiled potato covered in paprika. The omelettes have shrunk and the quality and amount of fillings has decreased. For example the gsm in an omelette is now tiny 3mm x 3mm cubes. Too small to actually taste anything. Snd with the Canadian bacon. No longer a satisfying thick disc of ham, now thin slivers like deli meat. There's many other corners cut, but there is one thing that bothers me most. Each time Weve recently visited, by design or otherwise, when we start our order they ask about drinks. My kid usually wants a chocolate milk which is included with the kids meal. But seeing a he hasn't ordered his kids meal yet, just the drink, the server has added the adult sized $5 milk to our bill, then the kids meal (which includes a drink which they now dont give him as he already has one) separately. I've pointed this out and been refunded the extra cost a couple of times, but it all seems a bit too shady for my liking. read more

Jimmy K's is a typical all American diner where everybody knows your name. There's obviously a regular crowd as the servers know the names of all of the men, yes exclusively man, sitting at the bar. I'm talking a bunch of old guys who have probably been regulars for years. Jimmy, K's is clean, nicely decorated with an array of booths tables and counter seating. The booths are separated by tall sheets of plexiglass in response to COVID. At least somebody was thinking here anyway. I've been here a couple of times mostly for a standard breakfast of over easy eggs, home fries, and toast, which is pretty solid as breakfasts go. Nothing outstandingly spectacular about that breakfast but hey, it was good. Since I sometimes feel like I'm eating too many eggs, today I opted for a bowl of oatmeal. What a bowl it was. Enormous and almost too much for one person. A little bit on the soupy side but it at least tasted good with the bananas and blueberries. The server did forget about my request for peanut butter and the flow of coffee was a little bit slow. The place isn't all that busy and I probably shouldn't have to ask for refills. Staff is friendly and it makes for a good morning experience. Don't expect anything spectacular here but just know that you will have a solid experience with sometimes iffy service. read more

I'm leaving a review in hopes that the owners are going to see this or management I went here to pick up a DoorDash and the girl at the front with the tattoo on her middle upper back between her shoulder blades decided not to help me. I understand you're not making money as a waitress off DoorDash, but she is certainly not a team player. I've eaten at Jimmy K's several times but after today I had to pass on a recommendation. If you like Mediterranean flavors you have to try the Greek avocado toast! There's sliced avocado, sautéed spinach, onions, olives, feta and tomato. I had mine with poached eggs and wheat toast. Absolutely delicious and so filling I didn't eat again until supper. Stopped in on my way to Maine and we were so impressed. May have been the best French toast I have ever had. I ordered the Farmers Omelette (added mushrooms) and it was a perfect omelette. I also ordered a piece of French toast because I try French toast everywhere and nothing compares to my husbands. Until today. My husband ordered corn beef hash and he has some very high standards and Jimmy K's didn't disappoint. It was homemade and delicious. The only negative was the hash brown. Literally just a frozen square of it. With everything else being so good we expected a better quality hash brown (like home made). Food was great, service super fast and so friendly and the place is clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely come back when we pass through. No pics because we ate almost everything read more

This is my first time coming to this location I like it better than the original in plaistow,NH It's really clean and nice. Great waitresses. I'm not easily wowed, but WOW! What a fantastic, vast breakfast menu! My husband ordered the state line scramble and the portions were huge! He is a big eater and he couldn't finish his breakfast. I ordered the Portuguese breakfast and the linguica was delicious! Our waitress, Nicky, was SOOOO FRIENDLY and fun! The bloody Mary's were delicious too. Wow! What a find! Dropped in for the first visit ever. We got seated immediately. Place was very clean and all proper precautions for health were taken. Drinks were so good! And the food was delicious. The food came out very quickly and nice and hot! Everything was made fresh (no frozen and deep fried home fries). The prices were extremely reasonable and service was great! We can not think of one negative thing to say! They knocked it out of the park! This is an old-fashioned diner. Food was what you would expect in a diner. Prices were fair. Portions were huge which was a problem since we were on the road and had no way for takeaways. Our waitress was kind and quick. Felt like a diner with some noise but not too much. read more

This little dinner is my favorite breakfast spot. I haven't tried the lunch but I bet that's good too. The stuffed French toast is amazing. The omelettes are great! The bloody Mary's are yummy. Pancakes are huge and fluffy. Each time I've went service has been great. There was one day when they were really busy that our waitress was kinda grumpy and she kept forgetting our order but I think it's because the place was slammed. The decor is so cute and clean. COVID-19 has made vacationing a challenge this summer. Being from CT where the transmission rate is low, there a limited options for a quick get away. Driving around looking for a nice breakfast spot, we stumbled upon this place. Their makeshift outdoor space was clean and covered. Service was exceptional and the food was delicious. To be completely honest it's good. Went in on a Thursday to check it out. Hostess greeted me promptly and sat me right away. The place is clean with a small countertop area for seating and table/ booth seating though out. I found the food to be bland and not a great value. We go here often and always enjoy the food but the loaded oatmeal has been different the last three times I ordered it. Served twice in a large, wide bowl with all the fruit on top, piping hot. Today it was a tiny, tiny portion of oatmeal and lukewarm, served in a toddler-sized bowl. read more

My husband and I absolutely enjoy the ambience and the food and the service. Prices are very reasonable and when you pull into the parking lot, you think you will have a long wait but they are very efficient and still do not rush you. Food comes out hot and I asked for a decaf ice coffee and it was a no problem. Other places I've had to ask them to make it with hot coffee and then other places never offer you seconds. We enjoy jimmy k,s very much. We've been back for our third time and nothing changed. read more

Was looking for a quick diner spot. I usually like the aesthetics of diners, and so almost kept going north to a more remote diner, but remembered the pics so I stopped in. Sunday morning, not crazy busy, table came quick. I was actually surprised by the quality of the food. I got the Greek omelette which had a rich sausage and the olives were a nice taste. The home fries surprised me, too! I was expecting some average home fries but the color was gorgeous and actually were seasoned well. The toast was on the small side-- if they upgraded their toast game it would be a home run. I called and asked to have a breakfast sandwich made to pick up on my way to work and the woman on the phone told me they're too busy to make me a breakfast sandwich and wouldn't let me place an order. I cant express how good this place is. It's cheap for how amazing it is. By far the best diner I have ever been to. The service is incredible, food is out in under 10 minutes I don't know how they do it. Everything is high quality and not to mention how kind the servers are. Each one of them are the sweetest people ever, be sure to leave a good tip. 10/10 Recommended. read more

I'm a little bit of a snob when it comes to seafood stuffing so I was a little hesitant to try it but OH BOY am I glad I did. The stuffing and stew were amazing! No leftovers for me. The rest of our party had various options off the menu and all of us were please with our meals. I highly recommend The Old Salt. A nice ambience. Friendly service. Great food.
