Crabby Jimmy's bread was amazing $14 for garlic bread topped with crabmeat and Parmesan cheese was average price but omg soooo delicious, the bread perfectly crispy and flavored with decent amount of toppings of seafood and cheese. The pizza was also huge size unlike other pizzas that are smaller for same size around $20ish. My favorite isn't Sicilian though (it was my friends) hence the lower rating but I'm sure their other thinner crust pizzas were amazing as my friend loved this pizza. We discovered this place about 3 months ago and have been there about 6 times. My son asked where I wanted to go for lunch on Mother's Day and I chose Jimmy Max because of their gluten free choices. Anyway, we were there again last night but unfortunately, left in disappointment. We found a bar table empty and sat down to wait for service. Mind you, we had sat at that exact table twice before and had a waitress take our order without any issues. Last night was a totally different story, however. We sat for about 20 minutes without anyone coming over for our order. Granted, there was no menu on the table as in the past. I mentioned to my husband that we would most likely have to order at the bar. While we were discussing this, the bartender, who had been ignoring us the whole time, looked over and shouted, "that table is taken, they went outside to smoke". Seriously? We saw them occupying an outside table and there had been no indication that we had taken someone's table- no empty glasses or bottles. A guy who was at the bar told us that we could have the table - apparently, he was with the group outside. Anyway, this really irked us, because the bartender never acknowledged us except to say what she said about the table. Which btw, since when are folks allowed to occupy 2 tables? I had my daughters baptism party in the private room for brunch on a Saturday. Service was great. Food was good with plenty of leftovers which we were able to take home. We were allowed our own speaker for music and our own restrooms for privacy. I abs love it and it's affordable. My mom knows Jim from OLGC which is awesome. Many crying babies. Loved the pizza but the other food was just passable. Cold antipasto was stuff out of a marinated jar. No prosciutto or ham. No slices of provolone or mozzarella cheese. I went to Jimmy Max this past week for a lunch - my sister's track team was doing a fundraiser with the establishment and 50% of the check went to them. Immediately I thought this was very generous and love that this local business is supporting the Staten Island community. We ordered fried zucchini as an appetizer and each of us got our own hero. The fried zucchini came out piping hot and was extremely fresh. We could not stop eating them throughout the course of our meal. I ordered the Mary Max hero. It was similar to a chicken francese. There was definitely a lot of chicken in it but I wish there was either more sauce or cheese it seemed to be lacking a little bit of flavor. The price was definitely worth it though for the amount in the hero - plus I had the other half as my lunch the next day! I will definitely be coming back to Jimmy Max again. Visiting one of my old haunts... Recently renovated back in 2017 Jimmy Max has a whole different look to it. Where a private party room used to be is now a very modern looking bar. And where the old bar was is now a dining area with plenty of space compared to the old days. Came in earlier for lunch with my brother. Actually passed on pizza for a change. But they do have quite the gluten free menu on that end. He ordered a pasta dish called A La Maria. Sautéed chicken breast , sun dried tomatoes & broccoli in a white wine sauce. Substituting the rigatoni with a whole wheat pasta. I went with a local favorite, the Mary Max sandwich. Sliced chicken cutlet with lemon, white wine , a hint of butter & topped with mozzarella. As good as it used to be. This is a very family/ kid friendly casual restaurant. Believe they still have the after school activities for the little ones. Which is in the very large party room off to the right as you walk in. Like what they're done to this place. Adding many large screen TV's in the bar and dining area to watch a game. I gotta tell youse folks that my wife and I were very, very disappointed tonight at one of our favorite pizza places. Tonight, we ordered a pizza and checked with our server three times within an hour to find out when it would be served, each time he told us the pizza was in, however, it was taking extra time cause they were backed up. After seeing some folks who walked in after us get their pizza, we asked a different server to check on our pizza, we were ensured that the pizza was on it's way. Ten minutes later we checked again and our server told us the pizza was not ordered. At this point we decided to call it a night despite assurances that our pizza was in the oven and would be out shortly. While we appreciate the apology from management (who we had to call over) for not charging us for our drinks and eggplant parm hero, the bad taste in our mouths from the dishonesty from the staff could not be quelled. We certainly are upset about tonight cause Jimmy Maxx is a go to place for us and sadly that is no longer the case. read more

However, tonight I went in with my family to eat and we were seated in the back dining room which we shared with only had one table: three adults and three small children. When I tell You that these people were boisterous and carrying on so loud, it was insane. Literally yelling and laughing as if no one else was in the room. They didn't have any consideration for us. The guy yelled "NO FARTING OK?" This is the crap we have to listen to while dining there? How about No. No one expects silence when you're dining but you don't want to feel like you're at a damn tailgate party either. The kids were running circles in the dining room and this ruined our dinner. The servers did absolutely NOTHING about it. This is what is allowed. "Do what you want like you own the damn place." Last time we will ever go there. Literally the worst experience. If you know the owner, and chat it up, you're good. Otherwise, find another pizzeria. I'm So disgusted.
