The salesclerk was very sweet. She asked him politely "is this her?" Apparently, he was there earlier to order a heart bracelet to go with a watch he brought me. I give them four stars based on their repairs. I never purchased jewelry there, although they have a nice selection and the salespeople are very friendly. I first went there to bring a watch that needed a new battery. One of the owners changed the battery and the charge was only 5 bucks. After that I have brought several pieces of jewelry that needed repair including a bracelet where the lock was torn off, a ring that had a missing stone that needed replace, a gold necklace that broke and an emerald bracelet that needed a stone to be replaced. All the work was done very professionally and within a timely fashion. They gave me an estimate of all the work before it was done. I also got several ring guards to make the rings smaller without actually changing the rings. I also brought in two watches that I had asked them to repair and he gave me an estimate that I thought was not worth to fix the watches for and they did not charge me for giving me an estimate which I know required some effort (since they had to open the back of the watch and look at the parts on both). I had a very hard time finding someone I trust to repair jewelry, but this place gives me the trust and confidence to bring in my jewelry. read more

Took my watch to Rolex on 5th ave. Found out the pins that hold the band on the watch were replaced with stainless steel and the gold ones were gone. The hands were bent and had to be replaced. Cost me $1500 dollars to fix Jimmys $300 watch repair... Thieves in the first degree.. read more

Had the WORST experience ever at this place. My first and only time! I don't recommend this place at all! Horrible customer service, they are crooks! I dropped off 4 rings to be resized. A woman Roseann called me to let me know that two of them were ready for pickup. (One was going down less than a size and one of them was going up once size). I asked her the price because the woman never told me and she goes it's $200 !! I said wait WHAT?? $200?! For a ring to be sized down then for one to go up, mind you I worked for Kay jewelers for 6 years myself so I know what ring sizing pricing should be ! When asked why is it so much she proceeds to tell me gold is high right now ! Lmaoo really?! I said your not adding gold to one of them and usually when the band is thick and going up one size you don't add any gold!!!!! Then she tells me I'll call you back. She had no answers and looked completely like a fool. As I was awaiting her phone call back I called Casale jewelers and asked how much it was to resize a ring going down and up one size with rhodium. They said $45. When Roseann called me back to let me know why it was so much she said it's the gold and rhodium is $40 a ring alone. I laughed and said I don't want my other rings touched but then she said there getting worked on now. When asked what's the price she said "idk I'll call you with a price when it's done". I'm not paying $400 for 4 rings to be resized. That is absurd !!!!! Then as I was continuing to complain about not being told a price to begin with and then not being able to tell me on the other two rings, she goes and says "I can't stay on the phone , it's busy" ! I said what?! Can I speak to the manager /owner. He got on the phone and I told him how that left a bad taste in my mouth etc. long story short , don't ever go to this crooked place! I picked up the two rings , and mine "weren't ever sized" but they were touched and then they resized them back to the original size to get at me after I made the complain over the phone!!!! I have made many purchases for my wife who is not easy to shop for. The staff there is always very helpful and the prices are very competitive. Though I will never tell my wife how much I pay for anything I buy her. I have also had several pieces repaired. This jeweler is a complete crook. I took my engagement ring to get sized. I told him my ring was platinum. I get the ring back, the bottom is uneven and appears dented. I end up taking my ring back to another jeweler to resize it because I was unhappy with the job. The new jeweler calls me and it Turns out Jimmy's fine jewelry resized my ring using white gold after we specified it was platinum and had the audacity to charge us for platinum he did not use. I am completely and utterly disgusted how they could do such a horrible thing. I would never recommend this place to anyone! Scam artist. I purchased a ring on Etsy that was three times my actual ring I size. The ring was supposed to be a surprise for me, I found the ring and tried to get it resized to not spoil my husbands efforts. I was greeted by several people who looked at my ring and explained why it would be a challenge to resize a ring like the one I purchased. They were very honest and instead of trying to manipulate me into spending more money, they told me to return my ring and get an exchange of a size. They put a ring guard on this surprise gift to give me an idea of what I wanted to do. The next day I came back to take off the ring guard so that I could return the ring; they even cleaned it so I wouldn't have any problems returning it. I would like to thank Jimmy for his high quality service. I went into Jimmy's Fine Jewelry store to have my diamond rings cleaned, as well as purchase a ring guard for one of my husbands rings. While my jewelry was being cleaned I asked Jimmy along with one of the sales associates if they knew what happened to the shoe repair store on Victory Blvd. They mentioned that it had moved further down on Victory Blvd. Since I was pressed for time because I was going to a wedding Jimmy asked what I needed done. I told him that both my husband and I waited last minute to have shoes polished, as well as our jewelry. He kindly asked if I had the shoes with me. His assistant followed me to my car and took my husbands shoes into Jimmy's store in which not only did they polish my jewelry, but Jimmy himself polished my husbands shoes for me. my hubby bought me a ring from there and the diamonds kept falling out. every time i went back to get it fixed they charged me but never fixed the ring the right way the diamonds kept falling out over and over again they never fixed the clasp the right way to make the diamonds stay in. they told me not to wear it to work (what was the point of a ring really ) on top of that the diamonds they were replacing were not the original size from the start. also i have a name plate in which the chain prior was to light for the weight of the name plate so i had purchased a heavier chain for it , then that stated to break i took it back several times yet again to get the chain and charm fixed and yet again i started to realize they were actually cutting my chain to fix the clasp that connects the charm to the chain but yet they were charging me for the gold. (and now my name plate is crooked around my neck) though they are nice people there the jewelry and the person who fixes the jewelry sucks. people should not buy things from them especially when it needs to be fixed they do not fix it right and they take what you already paid for and fix it with that really where they do that. huh i will never go there again and my family and friends who did before no longer go there after what they did to me. read more
