So I have an old house, with an old door, and an old keylock. On Halloween night it decided to stick- and not heaven or God himself could move the key or the lock. UGH. Next morning, I called to "unlock the mystery." Haha. NOT funny actually, I was seriously worried about this. So I called Jimmy's -since I really would rather trust my Yelp friends and he had really good reviews (and it was Sunday). Called me right back, and said would be there in 30 minutes. Right on time and went right to work to check out my door and lock. The door is slightly warped and since it is original to the house - he told us that it would work better ultimately if it was rehung. But he adjusted the lock and then had me test it. Well, I still had trouble turning the key because I'm kind of a weakling - and well, I DO need to get in the house. If I can't turn that lock - my daughter couldn't either, and then I was really concerned. So he offered a solution as in installing a deadbolt instead of using the original door knob and lock. I went for that option and asked if I needed to set an appointment and he'd come back during the week and Nope! He did it right there! In about 40 minutes I had a nice matching deadbolt, better security and 4 new keys to go with it! Very pleasant, patient and professional. He had to drill a hole in the door to insert the deadbolt, and not a speck of debris left behind. I'd recommend him to anyone who needs help onsite. He does car keys too! read more

The tumbler shifted (or something like that) and my key wouldn't work to let me get back inside my suite. Luckily my neighbor came out to leave for work and she referred me to Jimmy's. One call (she had her phone. Me, not at all) and a very nice fellow named Olec arrived in about 15 minutes to help me out. Cost = $129 and that seemed very reasonable for an emergency call. Called Jimmy's Lock and Keys this morning to replace all my old rusty door locks (three doors). He gave me an appointment THAT afternoon. He called right on time to tell me he was on his way and arrived a few minutes later. Jimmy was knowledgeable, helpful and so pleasant to work with. Well, I don't usually write reviews for businesses but Jimmy's is worth it. Considering how hard it can be to replace chip, transponder keys I understand it can be pricey sometimes but I was surprised when it was way less than I expected it to cost. Great deals, especially considering they have extra discounts on their website, all you have to do is mention them. I don't know if it was Jimmy himself who came out but he definitely treated it as if it was his business, definitely good at doing his job, took less than 10 minutes after arriving, he even gave me an extra spare key which I did not expect or ask for, which I'm very thankful for. read more

Been calling various places the last few days, locksmiths, dealers etc to get pricing to have two keys made and the transponder programmed for my 2002 Mustang GT. Dealers wanted the car towed to the shop and locksmiths were real vague on the price to come out. Called Jimmy after seeing some reviews on Yelp and he gave me a good price over the phone and was able to get the two keys made and programmed within an hour. On top of that gave me 10% off as well. Had a 2pm appt. for re-key service. Took time off of work for appt. At 2:11 was told they were on their way. At 2:45 still nothing. I was then told they were pulling someone off of another job and sending them to me. At 3:05 the guy calls and had no idea where I was or what was needed. Said he was "finishing up a job", I asked how long that was going to take. He asked me 3x what my address was and wouldn't answer. He then starts swearing and yelling at me so I hung up. Owner called my husband to apologize and offered to do the service at a reduced rate. No thanks, that's not who I want to do business with. read more

This company guaranteed us that they could make a key for our car, they came out, took at deposit and never called us back. they are the biggest rip-offs you will ever come in contact with. Rude, was 5 hours late, I guess we should have called someone else when they was late, learn from our mistake. Do not use these people!!!!!!! read more
