STAY AWAY!!! Their quality is crap. I was then quoted $900 to $1000 and 1 week for a center console. When I picked it up 2.5 weeks later, the bill was $1359. It looked like a joke. It's the worst center console I have ever seen. When I asked why so much more, the owner said I am not getting my keys back until it's paid for. No communication on the time or the amount going up, NOTHING! Because I am a car guy, I have been able to save a couple of friends so far. I went to Jim's auto upholstery to pick up a caravan through Uhaul. I had my 5 and 7 year old kids with me. I had just picked them up from school. I was waiting for some money to transfer so I could cover the deposit. My 5 old year was hungry and bored. She started fussing. A 50+ year old man walks through the front of the building and heads into the auto shop. On his way past he tells my 5 year old to stop crying because crybabies have to wait in the car. My daughter immediately burst into tears. My jaws dropped and I stood still in shock. Then I picked up my daughter to comfort her. Meanwhile the 2 women at the front desk just stare at me not saying a word. I tell my kids that the man was being mean and shouldn't have said those things. I tell the women that what he said was completely unacceptable. One of them says he was just teasing. I told her making fun of a 5 year old isn't teasing. Then I took my kids to the car. After I settled my children I realized I had left my ID inside. I headed back into the building and crossed paths with the man in the parking lot. I told him what he said was unacceptable. He told me he was just trying to help. I told him making fun of people never helps anything. I followed him into the building, asked for my ID, told them to cancel my rental because I don't want anything to do with them. I don't do business with bullies. No one apologized for their behavior at any point. I left. I was so made I was shaking and on the verge of tears. I had to have a conversation with my children about treating everyone with respect and kindness no matter who they are. I told them that some adults think they can talk to children however they want. But this is not true. They need to be kind and respectful to children as well as adults. I am appalled at the treatment my family received from Jim's Auto Upholstery. read more

Add to the list of things of items they can do. I brought in my layout blind used for hunting. It needed to have some stitching re done on it. They made time for me and under 5 minutes my blind was fixed, and I was on my way. Awesome work in a short time. Think of them first when you need any type of upholstery work done. read more

We took our seats in for our 1969 Roadrunner to be reupholstered. When we took in the seats we had the back bench seat and back, and two front bucket seats with headrests. We had asked for extra bolstering and to stay with period specific seat covers, we had asked him to also recover the headrests. We were contacted to let us know the seats were ready. We picked up the seats, noticed seat covers were loose. The headrests weren't touched, the holes that were supposed to be in the tops of the bucket seats to accommodate the headrests weren't there. When we brought that up, someone must have taken out a pocket knife, cut the holes and placed the bezels for the post on the seat back. At the shop, we needed to disassemble the bucket seats to fit into our vehicle. When we arrived home and attempted to reassemble the bucket seats we noticed that the bolts didn't match. When we called to question about what happened, his initial response was that "normally people don't need to disassemble the seats". Apparently, he had placed our bucket seat pivot bolts on on another vehicle and replaced our bolts with some bolts he had available and he proceeded to tap the holes out larger to accommodate the wrong bolts...on a 1969 Roadrunner! We decided to take the back bench seat to another upholsterer and come to find out Rod did not put extra bolstering as we asked, but he didn't even replace the 50 year old foam! We were very disappointed with the lack of accountability, poor workmanship and lack of responsiveness. Having known people who take pride in the work that they do, basing their work philosophy on treating the job as if they were doing the work for themselves, or someone they cared for is lacking. read more

Great Customer service my upholstery was done earlier than expected. Was able to see inside the shop how they do their work the lady that helped me at the check-in and checkout was outstanding was able to meet the owner and his wife very nice people I will recommend them for sure. read more

My husband took his car in to replace his seats with red leather. We took the car in and when we got it back we noticed several mistakes. The front seats were loose, the plastic back of the seat could just be pulled back and the cup holders in the back had all the seams showing. We called and took it back to get these fixed and when they returned the car there was no fix. We called again and they took the car back, this time when we got it back the plastic back of the seats was fixed but the entire backseat no longer clicks down into place which I don't think is safe to drive. The leather on the front seats are still loose and the passenger seat can no longer move forward or backwards. We paid $2000 for these seats and they have only made his car worse. I would not recommended this place at all. read more

I took the day off to work on my 03 COBRA convertible top because it stopped working. The hydraulic reservoir is behind the backseat and after messing with it I was struggling to get the back part of the seat out so to try and avoid damaging my interior I decided to call Jim's Upholstery to see if they could give me some direction. Rather than that they went above and beyond by telling me to just bring the car in and they'd help me out. Once I got there they came out and not only popped the seat out easily (I wasn't pulling hard enough) they also helped me fill the hydraulic reservoir which had its own challenges due to an old plug. I'm so grateful for their help! I can't wait to enjoy the top down weather! Thanks so much!! read more

DO NOT DO BUSNESS WITH THESE PEAPLE!!! I spend $3000 here on new boat upholstery and carpet. God custom logos on my upholstery. However after only 18 months of being stored in a garage the custom logs were coming apart! When I went back to get it fixed, they told me that it wasn't warenteed because it was sub contracted out for the logos, and they come apart over time! (Which they neglected to tell me!!) But they could do it again for another fee of $200 per logo!! When I first when to them I asked about sewing my original logs onto my new upholstery, which I wanted in the first place, when they talked me out of it saying that the new logos would look much better!! And they did, for about a year!! And now my original logs, witch had lasted over 20 years were thrown out with the garbage!! read more
