We have been customers for over 45 years but last night's order was terrible. Minimal ingredients and dough not cooked . I think they need another lesson from the previous owner how to make a pizza. I am new to Maple Ridge and have been walking by this Pizza place for a few months now! Today I finally went in and we were able to meet Donna the new wonderful owner who has so much passion for the Maple Ridge community! We had the BBQ chicken and Greek pizza and it was wonderful! Hand pressed dough, made in-house sauces, this place is not spoken enough of in my opinion.. Been a staple too Maple Ridge for almost 45 years. This place is way overpriced! And the pizza is average at best but here's the bad part. I call to order a pizza and the girl wouldn't take my order because (her words not mine) we are to busy call back in 15 minutes! And I replied I'm in no hurry just take my order and put it in the cue please. She says sorry and hangs up on me!!! Horrible , we ordered from here , waited 1 hour then they told us they didn't have the food we had already ordered had to change order then once we waited over two hours ! We called in and we were Told to wait longer then the rude manager came On and was vulgar and told he was too busy too talk then I asked why it was taking so long , He gave me no answer just said "do you want the food or not " and I asked how much longer and he proceeded to hang up on me . Then I called back and said that I would be calling the Better Business Association. He said very rude comments and hung up again then he still charged our credit card And we had to fight the charge ! Do not promote a business like this please ! I am rating this 5 stars based off the pizza. This is by far the best pizza in the lower mainland that I have tried. It is more $$ but, the pies are just heavy, super loaded. Lots of wicked toppings. The sauce is really good. Jim's Royal and #34 are our go to heavy duty pizzas with great flavour. Next day in the toaster oven is the best. Don't go for the chain stores, they just don't taste that great. Jim's crust is old school, not chewy, has a great crunch and not super greasy. Did I just say not greasy, well, its pizza. So not greasy like the PHut style. We get the pizza here so often we should buy stock if there was such a thing. read more

Jim's is a classic take-out/delivery pizza joint with an entirely superfluous dining room. The dining room, if dine-in you must, is a charming combination of naugahyde banquette seating, ceiling lamps gaily festooned with plastic flowers, a dusty rear-projection TV, and wood-grain formica table tops with paper "Greece" placemats. Jim's serves things other than pizza, appetizers that can be prepared in a deep-fryer and entrees like lasagna, spaghetti and monstrous cow ribs, but the pizza will be your best bet. (The pizza will take a ridiculously long time to come to your table, so think about one of the deep-fried appetizers.) A word of advice: in terms of toppings, avoid the pepperoni (it's weirdly gray), the ground beef (it's terribly dry) and the sausage (it's indistinguishable from the ground beef). You are by now wondering "why two stars?" and the answer is simple. Despite all of Jim's other flaws - let's think of them as quirks - their pizza sauce is freakin' amazing and the crust is unbelievable, and the pizza is served with shakers of chili flakes and parmesan cheese on one of those elevated pizza platters from the 70s. Seriously, if you can just remember to duck the toppings I've warned you about, Jim's pizza is wonderful. Oh, make sure you go to the biffy before you get there. The bathrooms are nasty. read more

Absolutely the best pizza in this area, it's hot and juicy, sauce is good the toppings are always fresh and excellent. The crust is crispy and chewy at the same time, they are happy to deliver, the lady that answers the phone is always happy and cheerful, and the cost? Well it's very reasonable, support your Independent local home grown pizza guy, been around for many years! Love this place! read more

I go to Jim's Pizza maybe about once a year when I want a standard Italian baked lasagna or a good pizza. The inside is nothing special, and I mean nothing special. Nothing has changed since I guess about the 1970's in decor. I went there this morning ,when they opened, for a small lasagna and it did the trick. As far as the pizza goes, this is the only place that I know of in Ridge that you can get the old style Italian pizza with lots of cheese and toppings. Everyone else seems to go to a thinner crust, little cheese and their pizzas are cooked in an oven with a moving conveyor belt like a toaster oven. Jim's has the original type of food that I would expect in a pizzeria and is cooked in a proper pizza oven. I wouldn't recommends the buffet tho. Tried it once and it was disappointing. Not a waitress to be found upstairs, little or no food available and it wasn't fresh. If you go, my suggestion to you is order off the menu. Your going for the food not the ambiance. read more

Never thought you needed to order your lasgna and tell them to "Hold the Flies!" Ewwww flies baked right into the cheese and the owner thinks the customer somehow baked the fly into the cheese AFTER they got home ....... disgusting food - disgusting response by management .... stay far-far away from this place! read more

Ordered a takeout 4 topping pizza...tomato, Italian sausage, olives and feta. If you like your pizza loaded, go here. Very generous with toppings esp cheese. The tasty tomato sauce (?made in house) was a bit too generous, it seemed seemed to interfere with the other toppings sticking to the pie. Delicious, but have a plate and napkins. The crust was lovely, nicely browned, including the bottom. Just crunchy and chewy to the right level. I didn't see spinach or kaleon the choices list. I don't mind frozen spinach. Never been there before, it was recommended to me. I think this management if fairly new. In pre-Covid times it had dine in space. Decor could use a refresh. Pizza has to be the most environmentally friendly takeout....no plastic or metal and the container goes in the Organics bin. Ok an ice cream cone is better but for something substantial, just saying. read more

I have to say, that I thoroughly enjoy the lasagna and ribs that come from this place, but there is no way that I could tolerate an owner treating his employees the way that I just experienced. Openly yelling at the staff in front of customers is completely unacceptable and not worth continuing my patronage to Jims Pizza. Unfortunately I'll have to find an alternative, but if you can't treat your staff well it does make me wonder what they might do with the food. What a shame :-/ read more

If I could rate this restaurant and particularly the owner with a -20, that would be over rated! To calm down, I figured I'd give it a full day to calm down after receiving this un-eaten food! So last night I ordered a Spaghetti meal and a Chicken Parmesan. As my partner was literally deathly allergic to mushrooms, I made it extremely clear for there to be zero mushrooms! As we have kids sleeping, I also asked for the delivery person to NOT ring the doorbell! The results of this experience: The "mushroom free" dinners were more like a mushroom farm! The Deliver Driver that showed up an hour later looked like he was homeless and hasn't showered in a month! And of course, he rang the doorbell! When I called to address the concern of not being able to eat this food, it was obvious that the old arrogant dude that answered was the owner. Only because employees typically WANT to stay employed! And if they spoke like this little P%#e, that wouldn't happen! In short, his reply was "that's too bad for you we told you no problem with no mushrooms! But we have mushrooms in our pre-made sauce!" No offer to remedy this was made! Other than to drive to the restaurant at 10:30pm from Pitt Meadows to get a refund! No offer to replace the order with something edible. I haven't decided yet the condition of how I will return this "food". But it will more than likely be at my convenience! And maybe not all that palatable! Jims restaurant is awesome, great buffet and pizza, ribs, salads, pies, desserts, Caucasian Canadian and italian type food, this place has been Around for ages in good old maple ridge, the pizza is good, torsional italian style pizza. I think the buffet is on in the evenings. But call to be sure...give if a shot, it's a nice family style fun restaurant with a great view of 224th from bd second floor, it a road house style place. I have been going here on and off for 13 years. Most times I get pizza and am quite pleased with it. The burger and fries with gravy are pretty tasty as well. The other day I ordered a steamed spaghetti and was very disappointed! It was like plain tomato sauce on spaghetti noodles, no meat, no spices or flavour. The service is hit and miss but the loud yelling has ceased thankfully. I once boycotted for a year or so because my pasta order was wrong and they did not take responsibility. After this last order and reading the other review, I would stay away from the pasta and stick to pizza only. read more

I have ordered from Jim's many times and I can not believe how rude the staff is virtually every time I call to order or have gone in there for pickup. The only reason I go back is because the pizza is the best in town. I have had an issue where they gave me the wrong pizzas and then refused to re-deliver them and I was told I had to come back and get them. And then they were rude about it like it was my fault. First off, I need to say that the girl working the counter was as helpful as she could be but I am flabbergasted as to how the owner Peter remains in business. On the advice of a friend who raved about their 2 for 1 lasagnas, I ordered just that for pick up. Got them home, smelled delicious and took off the lids to see a delicious looking and smelling lasagna. However, just as I was about to take a bite, something dark caught my eye, A big black fly was in the cheese, Not just on it, but BAKED RIGHT INTO IT. I was pretty disgusted but working in a pub, I get it, these things happen and called to let the girl know and ask if we could get that one remade. She said to bring it in and they'd take care of it. I got there and she said the owner wants to talk to me. He didn't even come out of the kitchen: he just poked his head out through the pass through and said what's wrong. I calmly and politely explained there was a fly in the cheese and would just like the lasagna replaced. He simply said that there is no way a fly would have been in the cheese, that even if there were, the lasagna is cooked in a 500 degrees oven and would have disintegrated in the oven so it must have flown in at my house. At first I thought he was joking and said, "So.....are you going to remake one for me?" He said no and restated it wasn't his fault. I again pointed out it was clearly BAKED INTO THE CHEESE but again he said it never happened there. I was stunned and asked if he was going to do anything about it. He said if I took back the other lasagna he'd refund my money but he wasn't going to remake one. I went home and brought the other one back and asked to speak to him again. The poor front desk girl was so embarrassed and said he yells at her all the time and he is just like that. She refunded my money but he wouldn't come out. I just couldn't believe the attitude that he was blaming me. Never mind the fact I wasn't asking for anything extra, just what I paid for less the baked-in fly. If he had remade it, then I wouldn't have come onto here because flies happen. Attitudes towards your customers like that in this industry are business killers and I assured him I will never return and will make sure everyone know why.
