Had a Valentine dinner reservation for two at 5:30 and our experienced was great. We got seated right away after checking in. Staffed were very quick and well organized in handling the dinner rush. The Shaken Yuzu Pina Colada was so good. We had the Sirloin Steak and Lobster Tail with Twice Baked Potato for mains and it was so tasty and delicious. I'm not crazy about the fact they don't serve crab anymore. I was told by one server, I should ask everytime I come in, if there's crab in the kitchen. Sometimes they might have it, but it'll never be on the menu again. The managers are always amazing and really do care if you're enjoying your meal,or not. Went to the Keg in maple ridge for the first time. This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. We had Jessee as our server she was absolutely amazing we started with appetizers, I had the mushrooms Neptune and my wife had the bacon wrapped scallops they were both delicious And arrived very fast. We had bread and our mains which were also quite quick, my wife had the 10oz filet mignon and I had the 14oz prime rib. Both of us added lobster tails and had the seasonal vegetables my wife added the twice baked potatoe. Our steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare and we beautifully seasoned. We shared a bite sized brownie for dessert as well as coffees. Overall dinner was great service was above top notch and we will be back many times! read more

I was actually shocked at how many people were in this restaurant on a Monday. The lobster tail they gave me was large and perfectly cooked , and there was ample butter warming in the little tray for both the lobster and the steak. I normally order a rib steak, but today as I am watching my girlish figure, I ordered a sirloin. The sirloin steak was perfectly seasoned, and very flavorful. If I had to complain, only complaint of the whole meal would be that the ample serving of asparagus could have had the tough root ends cut off a little higher. But I am really splitting hairs on what was a delicious and very low carb meal. ( exactly what I was aiming at) Oh ... I guess I could complain about the price as well. I have gone to different Kegs many many times in my life and it seems like you usually get the same thing: professional service, and consistent menu offerings, but it's always noisy, and average quality food for what you'd expect at a steakhouse with this price point. Thoroughly disappointed with the food and the service, this would have to be my worst experience with The Keg Arrived at 8:40 pm , so the dinner rush was over. No one seated us. Walked ourselves out to the patio, no tables cleaned and ready to go. Wait on a table to be cleaned , no big deal. Took a while for a waitress to even come around to drop off menus. Finally get to order around 910.... waited a WHOLE hour before our food actually came out . A whole hour with out any word on our food time wait . Food came out , was charged for an alternative expensive meal when all I wanted was a salad and a side of salmon for my meal. The salmon was slimy ,Luke warm , and bland. It tasted TERRIBLE. Had a wonderful dinner at the Keg in Maple Ridge on November 18, 2016 at 6:30 on. Pleasantly surprised as we've felt the Keg was too expensive in the past for what you pay for so we stopped going years ago. We arrived a few minutes past our reservation with our 6 week year old in tow. We were seated at a cozy table in the corner of the restaurant where I could easily nurse if need be. We had made reservations online through open table and were impressed we were able to get one at a decent time let alone this table. The parking lot was packed and the restaurant was too but our table was ready for us. Our server was excellent, unfortunately I forgot her name. We started with the Mushrooms Neptune... very delish although the mushrooms were way too small. I had the 6 oz Steak and Lobster tail and added the "oscar" to my Steak as I was torn between wanting both dishes. Best " Oscar" I've ever seen the Keg deliver as the scallops were actually big. The bread they bring to start is way better than it was previously... hearty and fresh.... wine was great and my steak was cooked perfectly. My husband's t - bone steak was more medium than medium rare but he left his plate clean so no complaints. We had our two older kids (5 and 3) next door at my gym while we ate and they joined us for dessert. They each had a brownie and ice cream for $3 which I thought was a perfect size and portion and we shared a Billy Miner pie. Will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate bringing the kids. Waitress Darbee was excellent - inviting, elegant, perfect timing with service, and not overbearing or in-your-face. My gf and i decided to hit up the keg on Monday Aug 23rd. It was busy and we were lined up outside. 1.5 hrs to get a table or we could eat at the bar pronto. We chose the bar. Sat down and it took 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge we were there, another 10 to get our first drink...at the bar. I was going to have the baseball and my gf was looking at the prime rib. Once our first round was done i had to actually wave her down to order another ( no eye contact, no checking in on us even tho we are seriously right in front of her). Finally got her attention and ordered food, but as the service was not impressive we just got appys and another round and got out of there. The second round of drinks took 10 minutes and they served my gf a $12 glass of warm white wine. Nice job. I have been to this keg and many in all the provinces and this is the first time i have ever been disappointed in the service ( the food came in good order and was tasty ). Not sure if they were extremely understaffed but even when i have been to busy Kegs ( the norm ) i find that the staff at least makes eye contact, talks to you a bit and takes care of you.
