My order, 3 cheese dogs loaded, they did not disappoint! Just as I remembered. My friend a local, decided to have a bacon cheeseburger and he said he would have loved another. The fries are crispy and on point and perfect with ketchup as fries can be. Three of us sat down, ordered 5 cheese dogs loaded, bacon cheeseburger, fries and sodas. Within 5 minutes we were served. The Dead and psychedelic old school rock feeding your head while getting full on old school comfort food. I'm going back again before I leave town. A must when I visit!

Very busy at the bar with golfers taking a break. The grill has been renamed Jack's Grill. It's a long walk from the front of the building to the rear where we were headed. Carpet in the hallway and rooms off the hall desperately need replacing--dingy looking. Bathrooms are on either side of the front door of the building. (I understand there are more bathrooms in the locker rooms.) Anyways, the ladies room was not clean. The floors haven't been scrubbed -- really scrubbed -- in a long time. I nudged one dried spot on the floor and I think it was hardened gum. Now to the food and service. Our waitress was pleasant and accommodating. My one complaint was that she stood at the head of the table to pass some of the beverages and plates down. There was plenty of room around the table for her to walk the plates and glasses to each customer individually. Big helpings. The couple across from me ended up eating their sandwiches with a fork because they (the sandwiches!) were too thick to comfortably pick up and eat. My dining companion struggled to pick up his huge sausage sandwich and then didn't dare put it down until he was done. I noticed the diner who got clams had two huge pieces of bread on her plate ~ enough for 3-4 people. The Reuben sandwich and the chicken sandwich on the menu sounded good, but I finally decided to go for a salad topped with grilled chicken. I asked for Italian dressing on the side. Was pleased that the waitress remembered and it came in a small plastic container with a lid. Just a tiny amount of dressing--oil, vinegar, herbs--very bland and barely covered the huge amount of large chunks of greens on my plate. Four or five each cherry tomatoes and black pitted olives, some shredded purple cabbage, lots of sliced red onion. I ate the cherry toms and the black olives, gave away the red onion, and nibbled at the lettuce and cabbage. Wish the lettuce had been field greens, at least part of it. What should have been the crowning glory to the salad was a grilled chicken breast. It did come complete with grill marks and was already cut into manageable sized slices. It had been cooked just past the point of perfection and was a little tough, darn! Plus, whatever was used to season it tasted great except that it was too salty!! Not inedible salty, but pretty darn close, and definitely not good for my sodium level. Maybe yesterday was a fluke. I have no desire to go back, but maybe in a year. However, if they've changed the name again by then, no way!

They also create more than 20 more varieties! with ingredients like lobster & mozzarella, taco beef, stuffed peppers, buffalo or bacon-ranch chicken, pepperoni & pizza-sauce, beef with pulled-pork or bacon, scampi or cajun shrimp, a BLT mac, a Philly cheesesteak mac, a rueben mac, even a good old beef on weck version!
