I am deeply deeply thankful to this place. I wrote a novel of a review which I have scrapped in favor of this novella. Walk in and everyone is really friendly and scheduling was quick and easy. Dr. Kimmy is WONDERFUL. Dr. Kimmy is the type of person to go through all that training and education and still go by her first name. Excellent in manner, expertise and the physical skill of dentistry. The assistant or hygienist Kim and the gentleman who assisted during the pull was also great. Edna really helped me understand the insurance ins and outs and I am grateful for that because dental insurance is literal nonsense. This place is amazing, and they know it. The "How'd we do?" Email survey link that usually leads to an internal system for filtering or feedback instead goes directly to yelp or google. Trust me that is confidence in the service they provide. I had an ex-girlfriend who got a job as a dental hygienist in what could be described as a billing mill. Each person had a Sales goal and the entire operation was focused on a hitting sales goals. I first saw Dr Jin when I had a chipped central incisor in August. He did a composite veneer and the result was absolutely amazing. I was so impressed with his work that we started discussing what can be further improved and by the end of that appointment, I've decided to get 3 more teeth done to make my smile perfect. My teeth are abraded from bruxism and I requested that he restore my old teeth and make them whiter. After weeks of teeth whitening I got my composite veneers done and I am so happy with the result! I am not exaggerating when I say that this is the best thing I've ever spent my money on. Not all dentists have "the aesthetic eye" and trust me when I say that Dr Jin has it. I am such a perfectionist (and I forgot to say that I am a dentist myself) and I pay close attention to detail. I asked him to restore my old smile but he did even better than that. My teeth have never looked better. On to other things- the clinic is very clean, well-lit and has a nice atmosphere. Everybody was very nice and polite and Dr Jin is very pleasant and exceptional at his job. He also doesn't try to upsell; he works with his patients to achieve their aesthetic goals. Saw Kimmy for my first appointment. She told me that I have a cavity. I thought it was odd that I had a cavity all of a sudden when I had just seen another dentist 3 months ago in west LA (was looking for someone closer). But because I was pregnant, I was in a rush and wanted to have the issue resolved before I gave birth. I ended up scheduling with Dr. Jin for my next appointment, who filled the cavity, because I had an off feeling about Kimmy--just very unlikeable and felt like she lacked integrity. I wish I had gotten a second opinion before I let them take out part of my perfectly fine tooth to fill a fake cavity. Kimmy should have her license revoked for malpractice. If any of you ever feel like they are misdiagnosing you and taking advantage you (get a second opinion before getting work done with them), file a complaint with the CA Dental Board. read more

My faith in dentist and dentistry has been restored! I was reluctant to return to any dentist after my previous experience with a different dentist in Pasadena (see my past review) due to the lack of concern shown during my visit. However, after my recent visit with Dr. Simon and the team at Jin Dental, my trust and faith in dentists has been fully restored! Dr. Simon listened to my complaint of pain in my upper left molar caused by a weakened filling I received several years ago and without any pushback, offered to redo it. Surprisingly, the team was able to squeeze me in the same day for the procedure. From Gaby and Guadalupe in the front to Dr. Simon and DA Juan in the back, my experience at Jin Dental has been by far the best experience I have ever had at a dentist. Great dental office!!! I was recommended to go to this dentist by a specialist. It was a very clean and beautiful office with friendly staff. I had a dental examination done by Dr. Jin and then a cleaning after. Unfortunately I forgot my hygienists name but it was one of the best experiences I've had for a cleaning!! She educated me first by showing places I should focus on when brushing/flossing and then proceeded to give me an extremely thorough yet gentle cleaning. It was such a comfortable experience I legit could have fallen asleep. I highly recommend going here for your dental care if you're in the area. Honest, professional, caring, no up-selling or pressuring, reasonable out of pocket costs, clean upscale studio. I had an emergency toothache and really appreciated that they squeezed me in the same day and even pulled in my appointment much earlier than expected when they had cancellations. I appreciated the communication. Even the after hour Receptionist was nice when I had called to schedule an emergency appointment on Saturday. I assume they don't double-book because the waiting room was empty with the exception of the sound of dental tools whirring which may be anxiety provoking for some. I hope they close up treatment rooms with a door in the future to avoid this issue and for patient privacy. My partner also needs a Dentist. I just started going here for the past 3-4months now for my yearly teeth cleaning and got all my fillings replaced. Dr. Jin is always courteous and professional. He takes his time and really listen to his clients. His work is uncanny and always takes the time to answer all your questions. During the procedure he makes sure that your comfortable. His staff are a reflection of him. You could tell me what the employees are happy and take pride of their work. The facility is modern and has the lastest equipment. Fyi he uses digital x-rays and have tv monitors in order to view your x rays and show you detailed pictures by of your teeth. Best dentist I have ever been to. I am SO happy that I found this dental practice and am thrilled that they're in my city. I had been very self-conscious about my front teeth for a long time and a recent attempt to address it did not work out very well. I was a new patient, who needed a bi-annual teeth cleaning. When I arrived, the door was locked (COVID precaution) and the receptionist immediately opened the door. She took my temperature and asked me a series of appropriate COVID screening questions. The facility is beautiful, modern, spotless and CLEAN. The dental assistant (I am so sorry, I don't remember your name, but you were so wonderful!) took me to the patient room and went over my paperwork/medical history in detail. She took a series of x-ray and ensured they were clear images. The entire team was professional, courteous and worked seamlessly to ensure I had a great experience! Dr. Jin and the dental assistant frequently checked in to ensure I was comfortable during the X-ray and cleaning process, which I appreciate. I have never had such a thorough exam (which is what you want when getting your teeth checked, right??)! They used pretty cutting edge tech to get a 3D view of my teeth and bite. And lots and lots of x-rays and photos. If there was a suspicious tooth or area, a super close-up photo was taken. Pretty cool. I was impressed. Dr. Jin's examination was extremely thorough and he explained my treatment options very clearly. He spent a good deal of time with me and didn't flit from one patient to another, like my last dentist. I had lots of questions and he patiently answered them all. I felt he carved out a chunk of time that was dedicated to me as his patient, and he clearly respected my time, as well. So rare these days. I am super excited about this practice (like, seriously? Who gets excited about getting dental work done??) Staff is very friendly and caring; the office is spacious, inviting, and clean and I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival. They booked my cleaning 2 days from my initial visit. (My last dental practice couldn't schedule a cleaning any less than 3 months out, which is ridiculous). So far, so good! They take the COVID situation very serious by locking the front door and unlocking it until you arrive. All the staff members are super patient, attentive and makes sure to answer all your questions. Onita (sorry if I misspelled your name!) and Dr. Jin both asked me constantly whether I was experiencing any discomfort, which I was not at all. Jin Dental deserves all my compliments. I have bad gag reflex and am deadly scared of dentists. Took me 5 years to find my courage and walk into this highly reviewed clinic. The assistant is very supportive and considerate taking my scans, she would offer helpful tips and give me water and enough breaks. Later when Dr.Jin did my fillings, they prepared calming music and showed extensive patience to guide me through the process. To set me in a more comfortable position, Dr.Jin had to work bending into uncomfortable angles. I can't believe I made it. Dr.Jin and his crew are also very comprehensive and transparent about procedures and costs. At each stage I'm presented with a clear treatment plan, and all my questions got answered in detail. I was too nervous to ask people's names, but I remember Rebecca helped me do the cleaning and recommend anti-sensitive toothpaste. Everyone has this charming smile and delightful personality, it's been a pleasure just to be there. I had an emergency during the COVID-19 quarantine and I was able to come in the next day. Dr. Jin was able to fix the problem right away without any pain (I hate needles). He took the time to explain how this could be prevented in the future. I wish my previous dentist did the same to have prevented this in the first place! Anyone who has super HIGH ANXIETY, this is the place to go. When I tell you, the people who have helped me has all been SUPER patient and totally understanding of my situation. I would HATE to help a person like me. I try so hard to stay calm but when I see blood/needle and pain, all hell breaks loose for me. I can't control it. I'll be honest, I haven't been to the dentist in YEARS because of the trauma I've had. Back then... dentist/doctors office was a scary place to go. It's always negative energy and such scary experiences. This year, I had the courage to go and face my fears. I've been putting it off for a long time. I needed to go check my teeth for the future. My first appointment I went: I had to do X-rays for my teeth since I haven't done them in YEARS. I have a BAD GAG reflex. Every time Donna tried to put the thing in my mouth for the x ray, I'd be gagging like crazy. I felt so bad for her because it's literally took us about 30 mins? (Maybe even longer.) I couldn't make myself not gag. She was so nice to me telling me it's not my fault and we can do this. No rush. She was so patient with me as well. She made me feel comfortable. I was so nervous she gave me a stress ball to squeeze. She literally took her time with me till I calmed down. Second appointment: I went for a deep clean on my right side of my mouth. My anxiety for this is super super super high. This is where the pain/needle/blood is. Jocelyn literally made me feel comfortable. She talked to me and got to know me and I got to know her. She has this weird technique when she numbs my mouth with the needle she wiggles my lip so I don't feel as much? But it worked!!! I really like how she was talking to me about anything to make me calm down. She kept asking if I was comfortable and etc. I also loved the music playlist that was on it. The deep cleaning though, it was SUPER HIGH PITCHED... which really made my ears like hurt. She saw me move a lot and offered ear plugs. Ear plugs worked for me!! She also gave me a stress ball because I kept squirming. I love her personality and her passion on working on kids and adults. I will definitely always try to get her to clean my teeth since I'm so comfortable with her already. Another thing I love about her is that she tells me STEP BY STEP what she's going to do. She explains what she's going to do and just so detailed. I love it! Third appointment: I was with a different hygienist named Kim? (Sorry I forgot.) she's so nice and quick! She's a bit quiet so I didn't know what was going on until she saw me move a lot. She then told me what she was doing. She doesn't match my personality since I'm more the talkative side and I figured out that calms me more. She's a great hygienist though! If you don't want anyone to bother you much (I have friends who hate when people talk to them. They like it to be quiet.) she's good! Dr WAS GREAT!!! He was so patient with me and giving me details what he was going to exactly do. He's QUICK. I thought I would be there for more than an hour but he finished my fillings in 30 mins!!! In and out! As I come more often, my anxiety for dentist starting to slowly drift. I didn't even think that would be possible. But great employees really do make your visits better. It's a bit expensive even WITH my insurance and out of my budget BUT the reason why I'm staying is because the employees. Everyone is so kind to me and understanding. Trust me when I say, I wouldn't even want to handle a customer like myself. It's worth the money. Make sure to ask for the total cost of everything. The will break it down for you to understand. Also I give props to ALL THE receptionist!!! It's hard to reach me by call since I'm working 9-10 hours 5 days a week. (The days I'm off, they are closed.) they TEXT me to make sure about my appointments and answer all the questions I have. I truly appreciate them accommodating to my schedule.
