My mom had an amazing experience with Dr. Shinto, and I'm extremely grateful we were referred to this office. Before coming here, my mom had been to another dental office where we felt there was a lot of pressure to have additional teeth pulled and to replace her upper denture. The whole experience felt very sales-oriented, so I encouraged her to get another opinion. She then saw a periodontist who told her that, although dentures weren't that doctor's specialty, in their opinion my mom did not need a new upper. That ultimately led us to Dr. Shinto. After examining my mom, Dr. Shinto also confirmed that there was no need to replace her upper denture or unnecessarily pull additional teeth. Instead of trying to sell her on a bunch of expensive work, Dr. Shinto focused on what my mom actually needed. That alone gave us a tremendous amount of confidence in the office, but more importantly, my mom came home extremely happy with how she was treated. She felt comfortable, listened to, and genuinely cared for. It's refreshing to find a dentist who makes you feel like the priority is the patient rather than how much work can be sold. I don't like being a patient in the dental chair but my hygienist Josie did such a great job making sure I was comfortable during my cleaning appointment. She was very thorough screening my blood pressure, measuring my gums and carefully scraping my teeth. She even got Dr. Hunter to double check a spot on my tooth that had a stain. I appreciate that he was conservative and recommended to check it again at my next cleaning appointment. When it was time for me to make my next appointment, the ladies at the front desk were very attentive and efficient to make sure I got the appointment time that best fits my schedule. First visit. The staff is great. Very professional, knowledgeable and kind. If they don't know something regarding your insurance, they'll look it up. They make you feel very comfortable and relaxed, and that's from the front office to the back office, to Doctor Shinto. He is very thorough and honest, and doesn't mind explaining things to you. Dr Shinto is the BEST Dentist EVER! I first saw Dr Shinto in 1986 for a filling and he's been my dentist ever since. I will not go elsewhere. That's almost forty years I think that says a lot, right? He's very gentle with injections when you need them and if there's a choice for treatment he lets you know, he's very polite and will answer all your questions. He makes it easy to go to the dentist, no fear, very conscientious and shows genuine caring. During procedures he never forget to ask if you're "okay." Always 100% satisfied. I've been coming here for years. Not only do I receive top care but the administrative staff are so amazing. Always greeting me with a smile and just all around lovely people who care about me having a great experience. Also, very flexible when it comes to rescheduling. And a tip for parking if their lot is full, make an appointment before 11 AM because there are plenty of meters all around that you don't have to pay until 11am. read more

Dental Hygienist, Josie, cleaned my teeth and is very thorough in observing possible dental issues. She's very sensitive to the patients pain level and will always ask the patient if they are comfortable. Of course, we must remember the pain level depends on the patient's personal dental care.
