They also provide forks for those of us who have horrendous finger coordination and cannot operate chopsticks successfully. My first time here was not great. Upon entering the restaurant, we were seated immediately and asked what we'd like to drink. I asked if it was Coke or Pepsi products, because I would make my selection based on the response. She just responded with yes, but didn't confirm which one. I assumed coke since that is the most popular drink. So I asked for a coke. I looked over to the fountain drink machine and noticed it was Pepsi products. No biggie, I like Pepsi, but would have preferred to get a different Pepsi product. It was about 15 mins before we placed our order, there was only one waitress taking orders, so we cut her some slack. But we saw 3 sets of diners be seated within the time we placed our order. We watched these diners get their drinks, orders taken, and then get their meals. After about 30 mins the waitress shows back up and says ours will be out soon. I watched these groups get multiple plates before we got ours. When we finally got ours (after another 12 minutes wait), the food was okay. We had been at the table for almost an hour before we got our food. We never got a refill on our drinks and when I inquired about the tamago sushi, she looked her notepad and said it would be out soon. After a few minutes, it came, but by then I did not want it. We had waited for quite awhile for food. We didn't get an apology or explanation on the hold up. This will be the last time we eat here, the long wait was just north worth it. read more

There was Mayo on the pepper tuna which I didn't expect (don't eat Mayo), and they were so nice about it and made it again (I was more than happy to deal with it but they insisted, and didn't charge for two). Came here on a Saturday night recently. We had a group of 9 adults. Concerned about COVID, I called ahead to see if anyone was there. The person answered the phone politely said they were fairly empty and that the back room was all ours if we wanted. Great news! This may be the only sushi gig in town, but they are doing it justice. The fish was fresh and tasty. Parking was right on the street. The waitstaff were helpful and polite. We ordered Tray C for our party, which was around $186 dollars. It happily fed most of us (party of 9). Tray C was comprised of Tray A and B, plus with an extra bit of rolls added on. I've added photos. One of our party members was vegan, so she ordered some veggie tempura on the side and we asked the wait staff if we could switch one of the Tray C rolls to be another vegetable roll so our vegan could partake in Tray C. (FYI, tray C does come with one vegetable roll already). They obliged and switched one out for another. It was JUST enough food for us. We all left bellies satisfied and full, even though the waitstaff had warned us that she didn't think Tray C would be enough. They even treated us to a free dessert of fried bananas on whipped cream. If you're in Grove City (maybe getting an awesome tattoo from the tattoo shop close by), check this place out! jin sushi was a surprising gem in the town of grove city. we were in town for the circus and ended up eating here on a whim, pleasantly surprised by all we ordered. we started with a miso soup, the tofu done perfectly (and in my opinion, it is the tofu that makes or breaks a miso soup). it was refreshing and light as one would hope and was an excellent palate cleansing start to our meal. our salad was a brisk one, the vegetables crisp, plump, and fresh and the dressing was tangy and sweet in a way that added to the salad without overpowering us. as for our entrees, we started with the monster sushi. the sushi looked so good that we immediately started digging in (so i unfortunately didn't get a picture) but it delivered. the blend of savory tanginess from the crisp outside, the rice filling, and the selection of sea food all worked in harmony with the sauces involved. in addition, the supplementary ginger was crisp and refreshing, not too sour, and the wasabi wasn't overpowering and held just the right amount of heat. we also had the salmon teriyaki, which featured delicately caramelized onions that paired delightfully with the salmon, which cooked perfectly to melt in your mouth once you got past the flavored sort of crust. the teriyaki sauce itself is also present without being overpowering, and it runs a bit sweet, with makes it pair best with salmon or beef in my opinion. a picture of the teriyaki is attached below. read more

This is the 2nd time I have been here and it does not disappoint. The service is awesome. Very personable and lets you know what specialties they have. I was sold in the fresh oysters and they were perfect. Fresh smooth and velvety. The soft shell crabs were next. You get two for what the price of one would normally be. They were crispy and the dipping sauce delicious. Then I had the sashimi deluxe. All of the fish was fresh and overflowing with flavor. Had sushi dinner, shrimp tempura, takosu, later added toro and eel. As a native Japanese and if allowing me a criticism, here it is. First, I ordered takosu ( vinegared octopus) but got a kanisu (vinegared imitation crab meat). Not a good start. Later got a takosu, it was very wet and it tasted like a sponge. I guess the thawing job was terrible. Second, the shrimp tempura (as an appetizer) did not arrive until after the main dish was served. Also there were only two shrimps and all others were veggies. If it's shrimp tempura, it should be all shrimps. I felt I got cheated. It was far from a genuine tempura I grew up with so I would not recommend. Third, the sushi deluxe dinner was amazing small pieces collectively. They were one of smallest sushi I've ever tried. Very disappointed. It tasted good but each portion was way too small for the authentic sushi standard. The last, toro was recommended by the server. OK I'll try. Oh well another strike. It was particularly frozen and very wet. Terrible thawing job. The eel was excellent. I would give a thumbs up for this alone. I got a small side salad but no miso soup came with for the sushi deluxe. First time never served with miso soup. The joint was busy. I was disappointed by the beef teriyaki. The teriyaki sauce was not good, and the two pieces of broccoli were more stem than leafy top. We have visited Jin Sushi quite a few times now and have yet to walk away disappointed. The only things we have had off the menu have been from the sushi bar, but the rolls are always fresh and have been prepared quickly. The service here is very good, they're always willing to go above and beyond, we usually end up asking for a side of Eel sauce, and Spicy Mayo to dip the sushi in, and they're always happy to accommodate us. The sushi at this restaurant comes out very quick compared to others and has always been out together beautifully, some rolls have a different spin on them like the Boston Roll, they prepare it as an inside out roll, so it's larger around and an inside out roll with rice on the inside and the seaweed paper on the outside, it's outstanding! They had King Crab on the Sushi/Sashimi menu and we asked if they had it, not all places have it all the time, and they did, it was fresh and you could definitely tell it was very good quality. This is really a diamond in the rough, not something you'd expect in the little quaint downtown area of Grove City, but I would definitely recommend it to any sushi lover in the area. read more
