Full disclosure: never got our food on this trip. Review based on the ordering process, the wait and the abusive phone call I received. I had placed a takeout order and was told "25 minutes". Arrived in 25 minutes to a store packed with people waiting for their food. I waited for a while for my phone number to be called (the way they do it). That seemed to be step 1. Customers would pay then go back to waiting for quite some time for step 2, actually getting food. The staff are unapproachable as they're behind this early Covid-era plywood/plexiglass/plastic sheeting so I couldn't tell them I was giving up and leaving. With at last 10 customers in front of me, it was clear I wasn't getting food anytime soon. I decided to just go home, confident in the fact they weren't going to make my food without calling out my phone number over the karaoke speaker, as I didn't want to stick them unfairly. About 90 minutes after my food was supposed to be ready I got a call from an unknown number. It was the guy from the restaurant calling to tell me my food was ready. I explained what happened and that I had left long ago and wasn't coming back for it. He shouted an expletive at me and hung up on me. Order here if you want to but know that at peak times, e.g. dinner time, the estimated time is bogus and you're going to wait for a while in the store. Just left from picking up a to go order. The owner/cook yelled at us for ordering tofu because he is too busy. Hmmm thought you sold Chinese food. He has always been grumpy but this time was very aggressive. If we are such a bother, we won't be back. Not worth it for marginal Chinese food. read more

This is easily the best Chinese place around. The food is always excellent. I've never had anything on the menu that wasn't perfect. My only complaint is that whenever I do an online order, they clearly don't start cooking it until I arrive. I live 10 minutes away and once even waited 30 minutes before heading over, and when I got there, they started cooking. They also aren't always the nicest folks, but it may be a cultural thing. I'm willing to deal with it all for the food though. So good. read more

Went here for the first time today and will certainly not be back. It's obvious that they don't start any of the orders until you walk in (I called 25 minutes in advance and still waited in the restaurant for 20 minutes). They also up charge for everything, going against the prices that are on the menus, and I found AN ANT in my won-ton soup. Disguting. read more

I have never had a complaint before this evening but I wanted to let others know about the treatment I received. I always talked up the Golden Dragon because I liked their food and speed but when I got home this evening and pulled out my order, I was missing one of the more expensive items, the general tso house special. I called them to let them know and they were rude. He stated that they remembered when I picked it up and left but that they checked my order was right and they said it so fast that I barely got a word in before they hung up on me. The only redeeming factor is that the food is good but they definitely lost a customer today and I will be sharing it with others. read more

The food is very worth while. Although the distance you need to drive is pretty far but it makes the drive worth it for how delicious the food is. My family and I went there and ordered Orange Chicken, beef with broccoli and some other special dishes. And all for $55. I ordered from this establishment and when I got home realized I was over charged by $15.32 and my order was 100% incorrect! I called and was basically told to bad so I returned to the restaurant and asked for a complete refund as I did not want the food at this point. I was cursed at, the owner literally threw the food across the back end of the restaurant. The son got involved after the father charged me again instead of returning my money since he was so mad and out of control. I finally received a refund and will NEVER deal with this restaurant again. The actions of the father/owner was to the point I thought I may have to call 911!!! I would recommend finding a different restaurant because they are never wrong and will threaten you if you try and ask for a refund! read more

This is our favorite Chinese takeout. The portions are huge. I love the General Tso's Chicken and I can always get at least two meals out of an order. The fried rice and lo mein are jam packed in the containers. The Crab Rangoon is delicious too. read more

I am not a fan of Golden Dragon. I came here for convenience because it's Mercer and there aren't many choices. Everytime I visit there food is only meh. Nothing amazing. The prices on the menu are never what they actually charge. I ordered three things, added my total up before ordering and the total was at leas $10 more than what was listed on the menu. read more
