I discovered Jin Wang over a year ago while searching for a bridal boutique that carried a specific designer. I wanted to show my mom the dress I loved in person, as I live out of state. Jin Wang was one of only two boutiques in the Bay Area that had both the designer and the exact dress, and it happened to be the closest option to me. Jin Wang is *the* best bridal atelier in SF. Trust me, I visited over 15 boutiques (almost every bridal shop in SF and a handful in LA) and Jin Wang was the most exceptional experience. From finding *the* dress to the final fitting, I felt so taken care of and so lucky to have worked with Jin and her amazing team. The collection alone is worth the visit: they've curated the most stunning and sought-after designers in bridal (think Vivienne Westwood, Katherine Tash, Dana Harel) and a beautiful space to try on dresses. I was blown away that Jin personally handles fittings, and she is as lovely as she is talented. After I landed on a Weilu Fresolone dress, when it was delivered the lace flowers on the skirt were too crowded vs. the sample I'd tried on 5 months prior. My heart sank and I was nervous I had just committed to the wrong dress. Jin understood what I was looking for and we ended up working with the designer to replace the entire skirt so it looked just like the sample. We also added some lace flowers to the neckline of my strapless dress to create a more organic feel, and I completely trusted Jin's design on the size, quantity, and placement of the flowers. She nailed it and I was over the moon with the final dress. I can't recommend Jin and her team more highly. They went above and beyond to provide a true luxury experience, from the first fitting to the final dress pickup. Jin even gave me a paper print-out of how to bustle the dress, tips for the day of, and how to steam the dress. We even practiced how to walk down the aisle in the atelier. Crucially, one piece of Jin's advice on how to hold the bouquet (low near your belly vs. around the chest) stuck with me and made all the difference in our wedding pictures the day of. Every bride deserves to feel the way I felt throughout the process, and I feel so lucky to have had the privilege of working with them. P.S. The view is magical, which added to the experience. And, more important to us, all alterations are made in-house. Typical alterations of bridal dresses are expensive and it felt risky that the dress and its customization is typically completed by two different establishments. To start: the location is amazing, the views are so beautiful and the store is in a cute house in the hills. We worked with Abegail and she was extremely kind, patient and helpful! She didn't rush us (which can happen in other stores) and she had good advice and suggestions. I tried on a dress that I liked but wanted it in another style (A-line vs fit & flare) so they were able to order it for me to try on at a future appointment. It's a nice private appointment and I felt like we had the house to ourselves even though another group came around the same time (but they were in a completely separate part of the house) - it was rainy and they even had a wonderful fire going for us when we walked in! On our way out, we met Jin (and her dog) and she was so lovely as well. It was overall such a pleasant experience and I enjoyed visiting the store. A few friends recommended I visit and I wish I had sooner because I pretty much felt like I had been to all other wedding dress stores in the city (and a few outside) with no luck. I had an excellent experience at Jin Wang. The location of this bridal shop is beautiful and very clean. It's a romantic and intimate experience. Something I wish I knew was to shop early to go to all the amazing trunk shows they have. I got my dress about 7 months out so I did not have time to go to many trunk shows besides one. They do have some beautiful dresses they keep in stock and I chose one of those. I was very happy with my purchase. The process of trying on dresses: The employees were very respectful and kind. I felt very comfortable getting into dresses and the appointments were fun. I also did follow up appointments to try as many dresses as I wanted and kept narrowing my choices down. For all wedding dress shops just a reminder dresses you try on won't always be in your size. The attendants were really helpful at clipping or modifying the sample sizes for me. But I still felt like it was hard to envision and imagine what a dress would look like in the size that would fit me. I def recommend starting to look 12 months out so you have an opportunity to try on a lot - again Jin Wang has a lot of trunk shows, which is very cool. Alterations: The alterations with Jin was a dream. She is extremely talented. I have a large bust and she is making sure my bust is really well supported in a low back dress. She was also really helpful at the final fitting to practice getting into the dress, bustling the dress, and walking in the dress. I highly recommend you go to Jin Wang. I went to a bunch of different stores, this was my favorite place and Jin is a very talented tailor. You get the benefit of working directly with her. I could not recommend Jin and her bridal shop enough. I had a specific piece in mind through designer that shipped sample sizes to her shop. Jin's team made this process easy and once they arrived at the shop I got to come into her beautiful space to try them on and others the shop carries. The process felt personal, not rushed and my time and decision felt valued. I did end up choosing the piece I special ordered. Jin's staff then placed the order for me through the designer, measurements were sent and all I had to do was wait for it to be shipped back. Alterations were complicated, due to the piece and my small frame, but I appreciated again and her staff for their professional nature, honesty and expert eye for what alterations were needed.   Jin is so sweet and accommodating. I could have sat and chatted with her all day. Again, I felt valued and pampered as we really worked together to try the piece on through the process of alterations and the finished product. Once it was ready, it was shipped to my wedding destination, beautifully packaged. I wish I could go through the process all over again! Originally, I was set on buying my gown in NYC, with the easy access to designers and flagship stores. However, because I spend most of my time in SF, I decided to try out some stores nearby. I ended up selecting Jin Wang because of the reviews, and it was one of the best decisions during my wedding planning process. Jin herself has impeccable taste, and you can easily tell the moment that you enter her showroom. I provided her with gowns that I had initially liked in some of my try-ons, and told her what I liked or didn't like about them - at the time, I was still pretty unsure of what I wanted. I appreciated how she did provide me with guidance, and that she narrowed down my options by pulling gowns for me based on her professional experience. This allowed me to consider designs I wouldn't have considered before, and ultimately we settled on a beautiful Dana Harel for my reception gown. Because of the great experience, I wanted to get my ceremony gown from her as well, but I was torn between a Monique dress I tried on and some of the options she provided me. She surprised me again by saying that the Monique choice looked stunning on me, and the price point was better, and that she recommend I go with Monique. I truly appreciated her professionalism and honesty so much! She was also so gracious when I wanted to look for an afterparty dress, providing me with several options. My experience of buying a dress has been one of a kind. There was blood, sweat and tears to make it happen - thanks to Jin she truly made it work and I was the happiest bride on my wedding day. So to start off, I bought my dress mid 2023. I was petite and didn't really need a lot of alterations. Well of course, life happened and my fiance and I were expecting. He and I decided to postpone our wedding September of 2024. Jin and her team were so nice to let me reschedule my fitting and we agreed that I would go a month after giving birth. Fast forward to the day of the fitting, I tried on my dress and it did not fit me. I gained so much weight throughout my pregnancy that I was not able to zip my dress. I felt so sad and I tried to give myself grace given that I just gave birth, but it was difficult. Luckily, Jin was there with me throughout the process.
