Worst car service ever! Took my car here because it was making a noise when I pressed the gas pedal. They kept my car for a week and paid $1200 to drive off the lot and immediately have the same issue. Misdiagnosed my car. Dropped it back off for another to pay another $1600 and now I'm having even more problems that I didn't even have from the beginning. Basically paid $3,000 for absolutely nothing. Sadly now I need to take it somewhere else to be fixed. Will never go here again.

Initially I wasn't too impressed for a couple of reasons, however as soon as they found out about the issues, they reached out to me to make it right and since their establishment was the closest to my home and most convenient, I decided to give them another shot. Sanjay worked with me throughout the duration of both of my two insurance claims to make sure that no corners were cut and that everything that needed to be repaired/replaced was done properly. He also kept in constant communication to make sure I remained abreast throughout the entire time. He also made a small minor repair at no cost. He also made sure to address each of my concerns individually. One of which was the fact that there was very little signage and that it was difficult to identify the facility. The day that I picked up my vehicle, he showed me that he company had since made multiple signs so that it would be easier for customers/clients to identify the establishment, where to park, etc. Although we got off to a rocky start, in the end, they made it crystal clear why hey had so many high reviews. This has officially become my "go-to" automotive shop in the DC area! I'd definitely stop by there if you have any automotive/body shop needs!

      Before damage

I came in to get significant paint and body work done on a 2015 Camaro convertible and was very happy with the results. Much better prices than most other body shops in the area. Responsive and walked through why things cost what they did. Fast turnaround, 10/10

Picked up my car this am and it was filthy. Can't imagine spending $1400 for repairs and only the items repaired was clean. Seriously?

The staff were polite, professional, and cooperative. The quality of work was excellent, and the time management was satisfactory. It was more than I expected, but I don't know much about car repairs, so I trusted their pricing. The AC was fixed and has worked well. Today's experience unfortunately made me question that trust. I needed a brake light bulb replaced. I had already removed the rear panel and screws myself and gotten almost all the way there--I just couldn't get the light assembly to pull free. I was quoted $160 to replace the bulb, and the amount of work involved was presented to me as though it were a complicated repair. I declined and went to Jiffy Lube. They replaced the bulb for $10.99. I completely understand that an independent mechanic has different labor rates and overhead, and I wasn't expecting them to charge $10.99. But $160 versus $10.99 for the same minor repair is a difference I simply can't reconcile. What bothers me most is that I was a returning customer who had already spent $2,294.89 here just six months earlier. This experience has now made me question whether the pricing on my previous repair was fair, too. A relationship with a mechanic depends on trust, and unfortunately this experience lost mine.

Cons They had my car for 24 hours and i had to call them to ask for updates. They gave me 8k estimate for a full scope of work that was needed. I declined all but what my car got towed for and 3 new tires. That total cost was $1500 When my car was ready they called me 15 mins before closing so i could not get my car until the following day. Would not have been an issue but they parked my car on the street where it received a ticket. When i mentioned the ticket they collected it and said they were going to pay it. A month goes by and the ticket has not been paid and it doubled. I didn't follow back up before the month went by because my dad passed 10 days later so it was not on my mind. When i called the shop to explain about the ticket they said they don't usually pay this kind of parking ticket. Lol after it doubled they conveniently do not pay this type. All of this could have been avoided had they looked at the ticket type and called me to notify me. They will never get anymore business from me. Sad because all they had to do was call the customer. Amended 5/6 The GM Mike called me to rectify the situation. He listened to me and apologized for the level of customer service I received. Being that this location is in DC and has a small lot they easily run into issues with ticketing. He made sure the ticket was paid within an hour of our call. I appreciate small businesses and ones that make it right with their customers.

Meg was welcoming and even gave some coffee shop recommendations to check out while I waited. I made an appointment to have my exhaust system checked out because my SUV sounds like a tractor. The mechanic tech who worked on my car took a test drive with me. He washed his hands and was considerate enough to place a mat down before getting into my car. He heard the noises from my exhaust upon idling and acceleration and was able to identify the issue.... Pending exhaust/muffler replacement to the tune of $1,700+ I ended up changing my coolant and transmission fluid (around $700 for services, including diagnostic fee) as preventative maintenance for now. The diagnostic included a more thorough assessment than I've gotten at the Ford dealership or any other auto shop. They checked ALL my fluid levels, brakes, and dashboard lights. And they provide visuals to let you know where fluid levels should be and where your vehicle's currently is. They provide a video as well of the issues with tour vehicle. They were courteous. You pay a diagnostic fee (about $90) separate from service provided, but I'm ok with that job because of how thorough it is. It isn't just targeting the issues as the "customer states," they go beyond and check out things. They provide so many services, including transmission and exhaust, which either gets outsourced if you're at the dealership or you'd have to go to a specialty shop for that work. I think Old Ox is part of a chain of shops, but I appreciated them working on my vehicle and explaining the issues. They're down-to-earth. The customer service was great. I have a Ford, which means I'll definitely be back for repairs and maintenance soon.

Oh, and that I also needed $2200 additional dollars of "work" the majority of which was new brake pads and rotors. When I asked how much of it was brake pads and roters, they said $1700 dollars. Also they told me the car was pulling HARD to the left. I had not experienced this symptom. If I take my hands OFF of the wheel while going forwards it drifts to the left..but I figured my tires needed rotating and an alignment. They were very very insistent about trying to sell me BOTH brake pads and rotors. I asked if I could just break pads. They said no. Keep in mind I brought my car in because I had an ENGINE problem. Not a brake problem. When I called back the next day, all of a sudden it was $1400 dollars to do the work they recommended. $900 of which was brake pads and rotors. I told them I needed to think about it. In the end, I said I would just pay for the work already done and pick up the car. They said "they turned off all of the dashboard lights" . When I got there, the mechanic that tested the car said that "it wasn't hard, but the car pulled the left and he never experienced that before" Uh huh. Sure. They didn't mention at all the original problem, and why the engine might be shutting down while it was on. Luckily repairing the hose seemed to fix that. By that time I was ready to just leave. When I actually turned the car in, the low air pressure light was on for the tire. So they indeed had not "turned off all the lights" nor done me the courtesy of filling up my tires after charging $230 just to DIAGNOSE the car. There was an additional charge for the labor for the rotted hose. The total I paid was around $350. And get this. When I went home, bought an air compressor, fills up the tire, the drift to the left STOPPED. These people were about to try to charge me $1700 for a symptom that could be fixed with $2.00 worth of air. Do not come here.

I initially called to confirm the tire size on my truck, which I originally purchased from this location about two years ago, as I was considering getting replacement tires from the Chevy dealership on highway 210 in Maryland. However, after speaking with Dwayne and receiving a quote for the same tires I previously purchased, my plans changed immediately. Dwayne was patient, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me. He took the time to research the information I needed, called me back promptly, and kept me informed throughout the process. That level of communication and professionalism speaks volumes about his customer service skills. Even with the location's busy schedule, he never appeared irritated or rushed, even when I had to call him back multiple times. When I arrived, I did not have a long wait because the tires had already been ordered earlier that morning. Dwayne continued to keep me updated and assured me that my truck would be taken care of with great attention and care. This is the type of customer service--and fair pricing--that creates loyal, repeat customers. Because of the excellent experience I had today, I will continue to return to this location for future tire needs and any work on my truck. Thank you so much, Dwayne. As I was checking out, I mentioned that this visit felt completely different from previous experiences. The store manager, Jessica Paredes (though at the time I didn't know she was the manager), asked what I meant. I explained that the older woman who usually works the front has always been mean, dismissive, and honestly difficult to deal with. I arrived today expecting the same attitude. But today was a GOOD day--no attitude, no nasty looks, no negative energy. I was relieved and truly happy, especially for a Friday. Jessica apologized for my past experiences and shared that she was the new manager. I immediately told her I would definitely be returning as a customer. Honestly, the only reason I gave the location another chance was because I didn't feel like driving farther--but I'm glad I did. Dwayne, who assisted me first, was also extremely helpful and kept me updated on the status of my vehicle. And I have to give a huge shoutout to Mr. Clarence, the mechanic--he is absolutely awesome and highly professional. His expertise and thoroughness gave me confidence that my vehicle was in great hands. From a customer's perspective, the front desk is the first point of contact, and the person in that role should understand just how important customer service truly is. Customers should always feel welcomed, valued, and comfortable--especially when spending their hard-earned money. I want to thank Goodyear for making a management change that clearly prioritizes customer service and respects the customer experience. Leadership matters, and Ms. Jessica Paredes is proof that great leadership sets the tone. The improvement in morale, professionalism, and overall experience is a direct reflection of her presence. Excellent job to Ms. Paredes--leadership starts at the top, and it shows in how her staff engages with customers. I appreciate the positive changes and will absolutely return
