When you start reading reviews for IVF clinics--especially larger ones like Boston IVF--you'll see…read moreeverything from glowing five stars to stories of heartbreak. After going through it myself, I've learned that it's not really about the clinic itself. It's 100% about the team you work with. And if you're lucky enough to work with Dr. Emily Seidler and her incredible team then you've found the gold standard. We had a really difficult start at Boston IVF and came close to switching clinics entirely. The care we first received was impersonal and left us feeling completely lost. At first, we thought we could tolerate that if it got results--but over time, we realized our specific needs, questions, and goals weren't even being considered. The doctor was focused on what they assumed we wanted, rather than actually listening and working with us to maximize our outcomes. And then we met Dr. Seidler--and everything changed. Dr. Seidler is one of those incredibly rare people who is both deeply brilliant and genuinely kind. She doesn't just follow a set protocol--she pays attention. And I mean, really pays attention. When I did my first egg retrieval under a different doctor, we ended up with 7 eggs--and a massive insurance headache. We felt completely failed by the system. Then we met Dr. Seidler. She took the time to understand us--our goals, our history, our insurance limitations--and helped us make smart, thoughtful decisions that were truly in our best interest. Under her care, my next retrieval produced 22 eggs. That wasn't luck--that was her tracking how my body was responding and adjusting the protocol with care and precision. She stayed engaged, curious, and genuinely invested. She noticed things. She remembered things. She made us feel like we actually mattered--not just as patients, but as people. That kind of brilliance and humanity in one person? It's honestly a unicorn-level combo. And then there's Robin and Nikki, the two amazing nurses who make up the rest of this dream team. These women are absolute rocks. IVF is emotional, confusing, and full of logistical twists and turns, and they helped us navigate all of it with so much grace, clarity, and PATIENCE. They fielded every voicemail, email, and question (and yes, I had many!), and always responded with such kindness and patience, like I wasn't being overwhelming--even when I 100% was. Their kindness didn't come from a script--it came from presence. From actual care. And you can feel the difference. Thanks to this team, I felt supported, seen, and in incredibly capable hands at every stage. Their combination of expertise, compassion, and steadiness helped me stay grounded through a process that is anything but predictable. They didn't just guide me through treatment--they held me through it, with so much heart. And now, after three egg retrievals and three embryo transfers, I'm sitting here, 20 weeks pregnant, feeling this little baby kicking (!!) as I type--and the gratitude I feel is hard to put into words. I know I will carry this team's impact with me for the rest of my life. Dr. Seidler, Robin, and Nikki didn't just help us get here--they gave us the gift of feeling truly cared for in the most vulnerable moments. I will never forget what they've done for our family. If you're wondering whether Boston IVF is right for you--my honest advice is this: don't just look at the clinic, look at who you'll be working with. The right team makes all the difference. And with Dr. Seidler and her team, you'll be in the best possible hands. Their care changed everything for us.

In my experience she has been caring, compassionate, and always responsive to my needs as a patient. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Endometriosis and following laparoscopic surgery performed at BIDMC I was able to get pregnant from one IVF cycle with a fresh embryo transfer. My wife and I are overjoyed that following a long wait for surgery due to COVID-19 I was able to get pregnant so quickly. Thank you Dr. Seidler!

For the 99.9% of you who haven't read my other reviews, I *reeeeeally* can't handle venipuncture. The thing about fertility treatment, though, is that once you start messing around with medications, there's more phlebotomy than you can shake even a dozen butterfly needles at. It's a close call, but I *DO* want my existing child to have a sibling more than I want to avoid blood draws forever, so into the breach I have gone. And you know what? The phlebotomists here have been *so good.* Quick, kind, gentle, understanding, & in two months' time I haven't been butchered once. (A special shout-out to Stephanie at the Dedham location, too, for being the first person to draw my blood after that Quest New Brighton debacle--& she did a beautiful, painless job! I'm not a difficult draw for people who know what they're doing.) So on the (extreme) off-chance it's your aversion to phlebotomy that holding you back from seeking fertility treatment...fear not. You're safe here.

Despite Massachusetts being an area dense with top rated medical care, you'd be shocked to know how many ob-gyn are quick to shrug their patients off, thus resulting in awful outcomes for mothers and infants. I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so…read moreimpactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. I'm so grateful to have found her and truly can't recommend her enough.

The "predator" review is spot on. I took a chance on this doctor in desperation to address extreme…read moreanxiety. I knew it was an "off-the-board" kind of treatment, but decided to give it a try. My exasperation with the "official" medical establishment is one factor that led me here. TL;DR: turns out it's basically homeopathy, meaning lame, unconvincing sleight (and I mean VERY sleight) of hand combined with meaningless psychobabble. Along with two assistants, she went through a procedure that is supposed to find all the bad stuff your body has problems with: She has you hold your arm up and resist her pushing on it, while putting pressure on some part of the body or resting a bottle of some substance on your stomach. When something is "good," you "successfully" resist her pushing. When it's "bad", she waggles your arm back and forth too quickly for you to adjust and push back and says "that organ is weak." It's kind of like you're a human Ouija board, LOL. She kept asking if I understood if I "got it" how one thing was strong and one was weak based on this, and I said, "uh, not really, it just seems like you're changing how periodically you push and pull." She testily said "NO. If you don't get this, we can't continue." (and of course the payment has already cleared the bank) After a few minutes of this, I'm thinking "This is nonsense." I figured I would be polite and wait til they were done and then just never come back. I occasionally asked clarifying questions, and she seemed to think her answers had some kind of logic to them, but nothing she said made any sense. At over an hour in, it was getting difficult to not roll my eyes. She went through the same routine with the bottles of vitamins I brought with me. Presses bottle to my chest, waggles my arm. "Bad." Another bottle. Waggle. "Bad bad." She read the ingredients of my Vitamin C & Zinc bottle, telling me how bad it is, and then suggested I "give this to someone you hate." :o That's what you call "professional." Then she pulled out some "gene chart" that any layperson isn't going to know up from down, throws out some impressive terminology, and said we need to test my genes. It will take from 15m to an hour. "ANOTHER HOUR?" I said. "Well, only if your genes have problems." I am not a rude person, and do not like confrontation, but at that point I abruptly sat up and said "I need to go." I got up and went to put my shoes on and collect my belongings from the table near the door. "But, we're not--" I told her this was absolute BULLSHIT and walked out. The three of them stood there with mouths agape as if this has NEVER happened before. This is "health care" for the hard of thinking. The old phrase pops to mind: "Be open-minded, but not SO open-minded that your brains fall out." (LOL to the 4-star reviewer who seems to think they are being overly critical)

It is not often I feel compelled to write a review, however, Dr Medwar and her team deserve this!…read moreFirst off, I am a registered nurse and believe in western medicine because that is what I was taught. I thought eastern medicine was mmmm a hoax! My daughter and son in law gave my husband and I the gift of life when they gave us gift cards for the initial 3 visits for evaluation. I decided to go in with an open mind. Not going to lie, my husband and I were a bit skeptical during the evaluation phase but decided to follow through because it was already paid for and we felt we had nothing to lose. We are both overweight and in an unhealthy state at present. My husband's diabetes was out of control. In just four short weeks we have both lost 15-20#'s! My husband's diabetes blood sugar has gone from 250-350 on massive doses of insulin down to 80-130 on less than 1/3 of the insulin he was taking! I use to nap on my days off just to get through the day. I am now sleeping less overnight and no longer taking naps! My energy level is that of a younger woman. I cringed a little with the price of the supplements but they do last for the initial "detox" period. So, you can either pay for prescriptions to treat bad health, or you can get in her program and pay for great health and wellness! Thank you Dr Medwar and team for setting my husband and I on the right path. Life is good again! To the nay sayers and the ones who wrote the bad reviews, did you go in with an open mind? Did you let Dr Medwar complete her evaluation? Did you try her program? If you haven't then you should. In just 3-4 weeks my husband and I both started to feel great. Bullshit this is not!
