The food was amazing! Jinya Tonkotsu Black was absolutely authentic Japanese ramen. Karaage was also really juicy and good. Really recommend this place in town! The only complaint is that the seats need to be replaced. When we sat down, the seats basically sank down. Suggest to replace seats with better seat cushions or more with structure so that it won't sink when people sit down.

The food service and ambiance were all excellent at Jinya Ramen bar. This was our first time at this business. We were actually going to another Thai restaurant down the street but got lost and this looks good instead. Everything tasted really good. The Ramen soup was a seafood pork face which was different than what we previously experienced and the wheat noodles weren't my favorite, but they were still OK. The sushi and other appetizers we had were really good as well. All the stuff that waited on us were all super excellent and helpful making suggestions and letting us know what different things were.

Food was delicious! My ramen was amazing and the appetizers were great. Waitress was friendly and inside was quiet enough for a conversation. Good atmosphere for business dinner, date night, or a casual dinner. Would definitely recommend!

This Japanese style ramen spot in Downtown, Athens. Always makes me happy. I always order the Tonkatsu black and the Chicken ramen. They're always so good and never disappointing. I remember when this Jinya location first opened ! I don't remember anything but such a happy feeling after eating there for the first time that same week. It was such an amazing experience with such good ramen. The service is good, sometimes can be a little bit slow because it gets full quick or sometimes just a new worker. I don't know how the tables work when it comes to assigning but I wouldn't say it's poor service whatsoever. I'm just there for the food. Overall 5/5. I've always loved Jinya, this being the first spot I've ever tried. And now that they're expanding, I am excited to try the others ! The noodles are great, and the toppings were very good and fulfilling. The broth always tastes fresh. Pic below is of 2022. I had none from 2020 or recent visits while in town.

Got the popular jinya black ramen. Broth was excellent. Egg was rich and velvety. Pork was flavored nicely.

After a great game at my Alma Mater of course I had to have Jinya! (they didn't have this when I was at UGA). On a busy game day Saturday we were seated at a cozy booth in under 10 minutes. I ordered the Original Tonkotsu with added brussel sprouts and I was not at all disappointed. Now I did add a few pinches of chili oil, which the server was very polite about providing for us. The ramen was nice and steaming hot how- I like my soup served, and the crispy seasoned brussels were a really nice touch, as they were cooked to perfection. Jinya is the perfect stop after a chilly day game and filled me up - I couldn't finish! The servers and staff were kind and prompt, as well as attentive. I will be back and highly recommend!

We dined in on a Friday night. We were estimated an hour wait but ended up just eating at the bar. The croquettes were hot and crispy. The ramen broth was well seasoned and flavorful. The ramen serving was large and the bowl had a good amount of all components though wasn't as well spiced as the ramen. The environment was fun and eclectic. Service was fast and friendly. We will definitely be back.

JINYA never fails to deliver and the Athens location is no exception. The ambiance is always great at the restaurant with a intimate feel and overall good vibes. If you're interested in getting a drink this is a great place to go with a very large bar. The service was also great. The food came out quickly and the waitress was very nice and helpful. The food is just outstanding. Before I had ever tried JINYA I was always hesitant as ramen just seemed like a food for a dorm room or a late night but JINYA knows how to do it right. I always get the spicy chicken ramen and love it and recommend it to everyone. I also love the toppings/sauce choices as you can spice up your bowl or just add some different flavors to it. I will definitely be back to JINYA at some point and desperately wish I could recreate at home, the magic they make here.

The service was great. Food was very delicious. My kids loved their noodles. They offer a lot of stuff on their menu. Very clean place to eat.

I recommend the Spicy Creamy Vegan Ramen to the tofu lovers out there and if you like spice like I do, I recommend adding 3-4 scoops of their spicy sauce, it blends in well with the other toppings and flavors in the ramen

Cold ramen....... Who serves that???? We requested to reheat and way into the microwave it went the seaweed was overcooked and the raw onion in it and lots of it was horrible. Too bad that they don't make a good ramen for having this establishment in a college town.

Went to Jinya for the first time in a minute. Came on a Saturday night so of course there was a wait. Luckily we ended up not having to wait for too long. Seating is always a hit or miss with Jinya. It's a small location so having your own booth or table just depends on how early you get there or how lucky you are. We were seated at one of the longer tables where we shared the location with two other groups. It wasn't uncomfortable or packed though so we were ok. I ordered the usual shrimp wonton ramen. Our order took forever to come out and come to find out the kitchen never received it but our waitress and the manager were very apologetic and accommodating and fixed the issue right away. Overall, I'd give the food a 3.5/5. The wontons were great, wasn't a fan of the broth this day. Jinya is a favorite in Athens so I'd definitely recommend still trying it. Looking forward to trying some of their drinks next time.

There was no line, but we took our time filling out the sheets they have along the long counter when you walk in. You can choose a bowl, burrito, or salad, and I chose the bowl after much debate between that and a burrito. I'm glad I chose that because with all of the good toppings choices they had, the ones I chose would not have fit well in a burrito. I also think you get more when you choose the bowl. You can get up to 3 proteins (with tiered pricing) and I loved that avocado was not extra. We waited about 5 minutes after order until getting our food and ate there at a table in the corner. The place was clean and the meal was fresh, can't beat that!

First, the boba drink was delicious. I got a small, which definitely was small but still a decent size. I tend to drink fast so next time I'll probably get a larger size. 3/5. Second, the poke bowl was a nice size & good quality. The reason I'm not rating it super high is because personally, I'm not a huge fan of when sushi fish or any kind of dish tastes fishy & honestly not a huge fan of poker overall but I wanted a lighter dish this visit. The spice was lacking in the salmon & tuna & they both tasted a little fishy/had odd textures plus a concerning bright color which I dislike. However, everything was fresh & nice portions, but I would definitely prefer more sauce in the cups & probably a different choice of proteins. I also hate how the leftovers didn't keep. Everything wilted in the fridge & I had to throw away the majority of the bowl which was a waste of money. Next time, I will probably get something else. If you are a big fan of poke, I think you would enjoy their bowls because they are fresh & they allow you to pick a ton of toppings included in the price. But if you're like me & have a love hate relationship with them, I'd definitely get something else. The menu & ambiance were great & the staff was super nice. Definitely a place worth trying out!

We were seated immediately at a bar next to the front porch with a view of milledge. We both ordered mocktails, a fresh lemonade and cherry lime spritz, both were delicious and although we don't drink I can bet my bottom dollar their cocktails are crafted and amazing. We started with corn fritters, raw oysters and seasonal peach salad. The only thing I didn't like was the chili in the peach salad, I heard another table request it without so I guess that's an option but I believe in tasting it how it's served. For entrees we did the fresh pasta dish and the fish. Both were creative and divine. The filling for the pasta was silky and the touch of nutmeg or cinnamon in the sauce made it next level. The fish was perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the coconut sauce. For dessert we chose a cherry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate cake with grape jelly ice cream. I'm not sure if they have a pastry chef but it's been some time since I've had a dessert crafted with so much love. The quality latte we drank with them was the cherry on top. We've already invited our friends for dinner next month. 10/10 reccomend

Nestled in a gorgeous building that was once a residential house, the restaurant has a gorgeous and cozy ambience that makes you feel like you're visiting with friends from the moment you enter. The menu changes with the seasons, and I've never been less than impressed with the often-inventive dishes. I highly recommend starting with their cast iron cornbread. It sounds simple, but it's truly elevated. Right now, the sweet potato brown butter pierogies are absolutely mouth-watering, and the hazelnut bread pudding is rich and a perfect blend of sweetness and cream. The waitstaff is top notch and you'll receive better, more attentive service here than at restaurants with much larger price tags in Atlanta. They also have an impressive cocktail program and wine list. On the "it's the little things" list, the candles 5 & 10 uses in the restroom are outstanding! They sell them and they're spendy, but worth it.

I feel gross and it was such a let down. If y'all know me, you know I'm big on being greeted within the first few seconds of walking into an establishment. The gal didn't say anything to me, just stood at the register waiting for me to order. I asked her what she would recommended between the pork belly bowl or the curry chicken noodle soup and she just said it just depends on if I wanted noodles or rice.. that should Have been my first clue. I hate leaving bad reviews... but this is not my first visit here. The first time I ordered the dumplings with chili sauce, and the older lady was super sweet and it was super delicious. My only qualms were how FILTHY the trash can was and how empty the place was... I was the only customer. It was the same this go around too... no customers, and the trash can was STILL FILTHY!! (And I know they're not busy enough to not get up off their butts and clean!!!) I digress.... The reason I feel grossed out is because the fried egg was barely fried, and there was no seasoning or pizazz to it at all... just a sunny side up on rice and pork belly. The pork belly itself was not fresh. It must have been cooked either earlier in the day or a few days before. I know this because of how the fat in the pork belly tasted. It wasn't cooked well either... there was no crisp to the top part whatsoever and the fatty part.... Well that was the grossest part. It was that gummy slimy texture and that is anything but pleasant. I'm really hoping this place turns itself around.. because I do dig the vibe, but they need to get un lazy and start caring a little more. And I'm not seeing their vision... are they a donut shop.... Hot dog shop... or Asian food...??? I think they would attract more business with a more definitive theme. Like I said, I hate leaving poor reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes they see it.
