The staff was very friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and the place was noticeably clean and well-kept. There were plenty of TVs throughout the space, which is a nice touch if you're dining solo or just want something to watch while you eat. I ordered the OMG Burger with straight fries and a Sprite. The burger lived up to its name--absolutely delicious--and the fries were hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. My only minor critique would be the Sprite, which tasted a bit off, possibly due to the drink machine needing some maintenance. Not a dealbreaker by any means, just something worth noting. What really stood out to me was the service. Even though the place wasn't crowded, my server was attentive and quick, and she even made sure I was able to pay for my meal when it arrived so I could head out as soon as I was done. That level of thoughtfulness really goes a long way. I came here to get away from work, I was having a hard day and sat down to have a cold drink and a salad. I was pleasantly greeted and welcomed to sit wherever I wanted to. Shortly after I sat down, my waitress introduced herself. The timeliness of the service already left a good impression on me. The ambiance was casual and just what I needed for a lunch time outing. My drink came out refreshingly cold and my Beef's 1985 Salad came out just as it looked in the picture. The lettuce was as fresh as it gets. This salad is essentially an Italian style salad with salami, ham, provolone cheese, and more and it was just super yummy! I finally found a spot close to work where I can get a satisfying lunch salad!! I also ordered a chocolate chip lava cookie with vanilla ice cream to-go... and it left me thinking about this place for the rest of my work day. Such a yummy, friendly, and comforting place. I left in a much needed better mood. I'll definitely be back and I definitely and highly recommend supporting this business!! To add... reading through some of the poor reviews makes me think that those yelpers happened to come at a time when they were short staffed. I was raised in a restaurant, and the food does come out poor if there is not enough hands on deck or even when the hands that are helping are under experienced. We went to dinner Saturday evening around 6 pm. The place wasn't overly busy. It took about 20 minutes for the waiter to bring water and take our order. It took at least 20 to 25 minutes to get our order. By then the restaurant was mostly empty with a small crowd at the bar. I ordered chicken tacos and my partner ordered a salad with fried fish on top. My tacos arrived and the chicken on top was cold. It had just come out of the refrigerator. My partner's meal had soggy undercooked fried fish on top of his green salad. We wanted to send it back but our 20-year-old female waiter disappeared for another 20 minutes. So we won't be back again. This place used to always be packed on weekends. Apparently, they have new management or new staff, either way, it is not worth going to. read more

Waited over an hour for wings without an explanation that it would take that long. Three other parties came in, ordered and left and we were still not served. Finally gave up and asked for our check to pay for our drinks and appetizer and the manager did not even offer to discount the bill. Also, the waitress never bothered to refill my drink. So glad we chose this place for lunch! We hadn't been here in the past year. We decided to try their Irish lunch on St Patrick's day. The food was very good -perfectly done corned beef (very flavorful/ not falling apart or too dry) with cabbage that was tasty and not over cooked, the potatoes (served whole) were good, too. Green beer was available to celebrate the day. True to the Irish name of the restaurant -they served the heritage well. The food and drinks came quickly. One of the things that helped our small group enjoy our meal was the great service provided by our outstanding server, Brannon. He was very pleasant and attentive, even though he had several tables to serve. We will definitely come back more often, to try their regular menu items. Waitress was nice and good. Area was clean. Overall nice place. It's plenty of TVs to watch any sporting event possible. I got the spiked lemonade which was good but not very strong. I built my own pizza. The toppings were good and the pizza was large but the crust was not great. Friend got the fish and chips and enjoyed them. Fries were good. I just ordered from them for delivery and I am highly disappointed. I paid $16 and some change for a dry cheesesteak and Mac and cheese that was from a box. Tasted just like Kraft. If I hadn't ordered online I would've asked for a refund- still waiting to see if Uber will grant me a refund but they are stingy with refunds so I'm not sure if that will happen. I've been coming here for the past five years to play Monday Night Trivia. Honestly, I would have never picked out this place to eat except for trivia (I'm not a huge fan of chain restaurants) but I've grown to love the place and have to recommend it. Trivia itself is great; though it's changed hands a number of times over the years, it remains challenging and fun. The service is almost always good (especially in the past two years) and the staff is fantastic (especially Nikki!). The atmosphere is your typical bar-and-grill, with lots of booths and more TVs than any other place in Athens (I think). Basically, if a sports game is on that you want to see and you can't find a bar that will show it (for instance, if you want to watch a non-UGA SEC game that happens to come on at the same time...) go to Beef's. It will be on a TV, or they will put it on one for you. Some of the food is your typical greasy restaurant food, but in my time here I've found some favorites. I like their grilled chicken and steak wraps, sans cole slaw and with double curly fries instead (they're perfectly seasoned and always crispy). I also like the appetizers (especially the quesadilla and onion rings), and the wings are great for the price. Lots of flavors, which is nice given the few places in town that have wings. They also occasionally have seasonal specials (like the burgers that are going on now) which are pretty good. Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's hard to eat healthy here. But, do you really go to a sports bar and grill to eat a salad? You shouldn't, if you said yes. Check it out as a place to watch the game or come to trivia if you haven't found a place you like yet. read more

I LOVE the quinoa Shrimp bowl. I usually get a pina coloda to go with it. I always have a great server no matter when I come in. The servers are always polite and very attentive! Bartender has a real attitude problem. Very irritated when questions asked about menu. Refused to pour a "new" glass of wine when 1st one came in a dirty glass. As a pregnant woman I was very unsatisfied with services and I'm not picky at all but however, the service was horrible. One of my friends had to tell the waiter I was pregnant and certain things didn't taste right to me. First, the waiter was completely rude to myself and my friends. He would interrupt us when giving the order and tell us to start over, one of my friends didn't like her mango beverage that smelled like lime instead of mangoes. The appetizers were wrong, and don't let me get started on his attitude he would roll his eyes or huff and puff when we told him we didn't like something. When brought to the manager's attention all he could say was he was the only one that could be our waiter due to them not having enough staff however, customers should never feel uncomfortable. Hey :) I really like Beef O Brady's and especially their fish n chips. So today I went to have it for lunch. About two weeks ago I went for this same dish and it was great! Today, though on a couple of the pieces the ends were too tough to bite or cut through with a fork and it was too greasy. It's my favorite dish there so maybe it was just an off day.
