Great sushi spot in the heart of college town of UGA. AYCE sushi option was what we chose and our son and us parents enjoyed a nice time eating great tasting sushi at Tiger Sushi. We came on a Sunday early evening so parking wasn't too bad although parking in this area is very limited and pretty much exclusively metered parking. It appears that there is free parking when we came, not sure if that means parking is free on Sundays but that was a nice gesture. I can tell this is a popular spot for college students of University of Georgia and I recommend Tiger Sushi as a great spot to come for date nights or to chow down on sushi for group meets. Customer service is friendly and attentive and the ambiance is welcoming with college town vibes. Jazz was our server and she was fantastic and friendly. I actually really enjoyed this sushi spot and being originally from California, I most definitely have a higher standard for sushi! It's been challenging, finding a sushi spot in the area that I truly enjoyed and I will definitely say this place will be my go to. For starters, we received great service from Jared. The restaurant was clean and seemed to follow all health and safety protocols from what I could see. As far as the food, it was very flavorful. I would say in the loaded Bulgogi fries there was probably something that was missing maybe an extra seasoning or two; however, I would still say that it held great flavor and it's a dish that I would most definitely order again. I have never been to a sushi place in which they sold such type appetizers, which I found to be very awesome. I had both the monster roll and the shrimp and lobster roll and I'll definitely say the shrimp and lobster roll was my favorite with a monster roll being very tasty. This sushi spot also serves hibachi and has an option for all you can eat for $33 per person. We opted in the à la cart which is the typical way of ordering items individually. I would say, especially with the great flavor that the sushi and the other dishes is held, it is a great price point for what you get. We spent around $50 for two rolls and two appetizers. So, if you are going there and you're extremely hungry, I would think the all you can eat would definitely be worth it since you're still paying close to that price if you were to order two appetizers and two rolls. Worst place ever! Open till 10:30 pm, but stops seating at 9:15 pm and I walked in at 9:16 pm and they refused to serve me.

We started with the appetizers - they have everything from seaweed salad to gyoza and even bulgogi nachos, chicken teriyaki fries, and cheese bulgogi fries. Moved into the AYCE sushi, and man it was delicious. My favorite was the golden tiger - shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and avocado inside. It's tempura battered, deep fried, then topped with eel sauce, yum yum sauce, spicy mayo, spicy crab, and crunch topping. Then my fiancé got the salmon skin roll, complete with crispy salmon skin inside and avocado. The service was amazing, everyone was so kind and attentive. There are cozy booths and half booth/half tables, paintings of tigers (obviously), and the restrooms are clean, although they are not handicap accessible restrooms. Service was okay. Orders were coming out slow. Getting the wrong orders. Food was good. Ambiance was okay (it's downtown). The waitress was rude as hell. We simply told her that certain items haven't arrived and she says "next time, please tell your server." Okay, but we are telling her. She eventually gets our food. Cool. Came in on a Friday night, so it was pretty busy. The food wasn't especially quick, but it wasn't terribly slow either. Considering how packed the restaurant was, the food came out relatively fast, in about 20-25 minutes. The food was great, we did the tiger sushi special sushi rolls, which were phenomenal. I am always served well at tiger!!! Ordering off the iPad is easy, but over-ordering can disorganize what comes out first, so I do advise ordering with self-control! I've visited for lunch and dinner, the sushi is good, I wouldn't say it's any different than other sushi restaurants, but the value is there everything is included at one price. They have a tablet for ordering, so the service can be iffy when you need something. read more

Good quality sushi and amazing for the price. All you can eat is $21 per person for lunch, and $28 for dinner. Service was good and quick. Restaurant was clean and not terribly cramped. Well, went on Friday for Lunch.. We had "No" idea about the price change for all u can eat! No more lunch specials on Friday! Use to be $22 for lunch during the week day now for two people came out to be $71 after tax. We only had water to drink so it was all just food . No warning of the price change. The waitress said they had sign up for a week and then they took it down. Probably because no body wanted to pay $32.99 for lunch. Especially students from University!! Omg! This place is amazing! All you can eat Hibachi, sushi, nigiri, rolls, SASHIMI, salads, soups, hot appetizers and more for around $32 ! The nigiri don't have huge chunks of rice under them either .. they are small enough that you can actually taste the fish! The have a really nice cocktail menu as well! The food was good but too expensive! The service was mediocre. We waited too long for someone to come and seat us. There were maybe 3 tables of customers in the restaurant so it's not like they were super busy. Edit 4/25: I hate to edit my review because I love the food here, but in the past few months, the service has gone downhill a lot. My first few visits were all around great! The first issue we had was in February. My husband called and asked when we would need to arrive to be seated. He was told 9pm. We arrived just a few minutes before nine and were told they were no longer seating customers. We said we called ahead and were told they would be seating until nine.. The manager said that I was nine- even though it was before nine by a few minutes- and we couldn't have a table. The next time we came, the service was very slow, and they kept mixing up food orders with other tables. The manager was being horrible to our server and other servers. Today, I came in at 11 with my sister. It was her first time and will likely be her last time in. When we walked in, we were told they weren't open yet. We said no problem and asked if we could sit on the couch at the front to wait for them to open. The girl working told us we couldn't do that because it was illegal for customers to be in a closed restaurant. We knew that was not true, but left all the same. We returned at 11:30, and the music blared over the sound system. We were seated and about to order, but we were told that both parties had to do AYCE or a la carte, even if we were on separate tickets. My sister is not a big eater, but I am. We understand that they do this to avoid plate-sharing, but they need to develop a better plan, especially when the restaurant is empty. 12/24: Reasonably priced, great service, very fresh sushi. Although the food was good the service was absolutely horrible. It took 10 minutes to seat 3 people when the restaurant was completely empty. Once we had sat it was an additional 10 minutes just to get our waters. We would ask for a refill and was met with an eye roll. At the end of our meal we were given a togo container and had asked for a bag twice. Not only were we not given a bag, but when I had gone to grab one from the counter I was given attitude by to host saying "next time to just ask if I wanted something". Like I hadnt already. Ordered the all day all you can eat. The nigiri was not fresh/high quality except the salmon belly which you can only order 1 of during all you can eat. The salmon of the salmon capriccio was not very high quality either. Came because of review that said they had high quality nigiri and was extremely disappointed. Had the Philadelphia roll and the super Philadelphia roll and both were pretty average. Tried the OMG roll and the beef bulgogi was not seasoned well and overall did not have a good texture. The highlights of my meal were the salmon belly nigiri (which again you can only get 2 pieces of) and the eel nigiri. There was a problem with their system where when I ordered on the tablet it put in my order twice but they got that cleared up pretty quickly. I also got an iced green tea which was nice and unsweetened which I like. For sides I got seaweed salad and miso soup which were good. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Inside is nicely decorated. After 40 min they gave me the check without me asking and before I received my last two rolls. They did later come up to me (about 15 min later) and realized their mistake and asked if I wanted to continue but at that point I was already very disappointed by my meal and felt kinda rushed out so I just decided to wrap up after my last two rolls.
