It's in the big shopping center on the corner of Kenny and Olentangy but it's in the smaller middle complex that's next to Wendy's It always has really soothing music. The pad Thai was average not memorable for me. Why? Because I had better. I can see if you have not why you might really like it. The atmosphere was perfect. The service was perfect. The food wasn't. I do recommend visiting if it's your first time getting pad Thai. For me the flavor was weak. If you do try the pad Thai combo which has everything in it. Everything else was perfect. The restaurant had a decent number of customers before noon and the service was kind and efficient. The ambiance provided an open concept with brighter lighting, nice but not a place for an intimate, quiet dinner. Perfect for lunch. The noodles are homemade, so good! We couldn't finish them the first day and they were honestly better the second day. The beef was good but the noodles stole the show. Despite having minimal broth, this dish is so flavorful. I was still craving the dish 30 mins after I left the restaurant. The noodles have the perfect combination of gummy and soft. Most hand-pulled noodles I tried don't absorb flavor but these are so tasty. The golden braised beef noodle is also my new favorite. Perfect for a cold winter. The beef pieces are soft, fatty, and just melts in your mouth. I didn't try the pad Thai but my friend said it was good. Their dumplings are abot that exceptional but it's definitely different. We had a quick lunch for the first time here and the food was a little different than we expected, but everything was interesting-good. Nothing we had tasted spicy, but had a good flavor. The wonton soup is different than other places with a little bit more of a fish sauce under town to it. The wontons were really good and the dumpling dough around it was delicate and well-made. The biang biang beef was the winner with the extremely long hand pulled noodles. Most of the flavor being on top, including a drizzle of black vinegar at one zone discretion. Even though it looked like a lot of chili flakes and chili oil, it was not hot at all. The Tiger tofu cubes were quite big and, as often happens, the vegetables were still pretty hard and crispy, but the tofu was super soft inside the temporal like batter. The sauce threw me a little bit because it was more sweet and sour versus what I thought might be spicy given the name, tiger sauce. Anyway, we'll come back and try other things like the Mapo tofu, and the skewers which looked like a popular choice among the other diners, which included families with kids. Reminded me of some of the flavors of a pho, but the noodles really shine. Listed as spicy, you can have the chili oil on the side and and as much of that and the black vinegar as you like. The Peking Zhajiang Noodle is another dry dish that is milder and has a savory beef sauce, cucumbers and cilantro. I added a bit of chili oil to make it spicy. The sauce did not detract from the noodles. So good! If you like wonton soup, you will appreciate the freshness of the wontons and the greens. The food brought the rating down for me significantly, as I ended up leaving most of my meal uneaten. The best way I could describe the meal was that the entree had way too much of one flavor and the dessert had absolutely no flavor at all. Finally tried the beef noodle soup at Jiu Thai! Their menu ranged from traditional Chinese food to more Americanized dishes like sesame chicken, and surprisingly they even have macarons!! The noodles themselves were very thick and doughy, and the portion was filling. The broth wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be so I'd probably add some extra sauce next time. The beef slices and radish paired well with the soup and cilantro added extra flavor. I also tried the lamb skewer, which was cooked well with lots of savory and salty spice on it. We got most of the items from the American menu. We ordered online through the restaurant we site. I recommend ordering online from their website as I notice Seamless charges $1 extra for most items. Our order was ready to go on time. I saw a lot of reviews recommending the biang biang. I have never had it, so ordered it. Unfortunately, this was the only item both of us did not like. Although, the noodle was nicely made, the dish was essentially flavorless. I actually ended up mixing it with the other food we got to make it tasty. It also did not have much beef in the dish. The sesame chicken was nice, the chicken was super crispy. The hunan chicken was okay, probably would not order again. The combo and chicken fried rices were good. I wish the other entrees allowed you to choose fried rice as an option, they came with steamed white rice. We really enjoyed the mango crepe cake as it was very light, but for the price ($7.50) and size of the single slice, we probably would not get again. Had to add more after our last trip. First, I have no idea why "thai" is in the name. The only thing thai is the not very good pad thai. That's it. (and it's the only bad thing there) What they really specialize in is food from the Shaanxi Province. They make hand stretched and rough cut noodles in house. NO one else has them that I know of. And they are like no other noodles I've every had, so chewy and delicious. I crave them. Get the biang biang noodles. Has cilantro, hot pepper (not much) pieces of thin beef and bok choi. Not a soup. You add vinegar to taste. Wham! Same noodle in their soups. The lamb is especially good (and again a Shaanxi thing). Finally I tried the "very delicious pork sandwich," which in reality is Rou jia mo. It is heavenly. perfect tender fall apart juicy pork....I can taste cinnamon, cumin...not sure what else. The bun is the perfect thickness, pretty thin and crispy. Side note: spend the 2 bucks for a couple of squid feet skewers! The dry bbq on them is wonderful. This time they were very tender. Before they've been a little tough but I didn't really care, so good. And again such a nice clean, relaxing non-pretentious place. With specialties you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in town. Don't get the pad thai. read more
