Biang biang noodles might be my favorite dish in Columbus. I've never had a bad meal here and takeout is always packaged well.

The family stopped in on a rainy Saturday morning for lunch. It's an open layout with plenty of seating and some traditional decorations. We were greeted and told to sit wherever we like. We were the only patrons at this time. With it being our first time, we took awhile to go thru the menu. So many choices to choose from and so many appealing entrees. We ended up getting the diving chicken and braised lamb stretch noodle accompanied by some chicken wings to try. My diving chicken blew my socks off. It was beautifully presented, aromatic, and warm. It was accompanied by white rice. With Plenty of tasty marinated chicken, bok choy, green onions and bean sprouts in a semi spicy broth. Super fulfilling and a nice portion. I shared my bowl with a hungry 6 year old and still had leftovers! Fiance got the braised lamb and stretch noodles, he admitted he had no clue what he was getting or what to expect. Nevertheless he received a nice hearty bowl of lamb and hand stretch noodle in a nice and hot lamb broth. Also accompanied by white rice. He finished majority of his bowl only leaving some broth behind. We both tried each others and both agreed on the diving chicken having a better taste but I think it's because it's spicier. The chicken wings were on the dry side but they were still tasty and completely devoured. Service was standard and immediate. I didn't see a kids menu. Buy we Really enjoyed the food. This restaurant is near my mom's apartment. Which is how I discovered it. It's in the big shopping center on the corner of Kenny and Olentangy but it's in the smaller middle complex that's next to Wendy's It always has really soothing music. It's decorated nicely and the hostess is really friendly. The food is fantastic! I'm trying to order something different every time I go in They have lamb dumplings that are out of this world good I did not get them this time This time Ingot their eggplant and added chicken. The pad Thai was average not memorable for me. Why? Because I had better. I can see if you have not why you might really like it. The atmosphere was perfect. The service was perfect. The food wasn't. I do recommend visiting if it's your first time getting pad Thai. For me the flavor was weak. If you do try the pad Thai combo which has everything in it. Everything else was perfect. We ordered carry-out at Jui Thai on a Monday and ordered the biang biang noodles based on previous recommendations. The restaurant had a decent number of customers before noon and the service was kind and efficient. The ambiance provided an open concept with brighter lighting, nice but not a place for an intimate, quiet dinner. Perfect for lunch. The noodles are homemade, so good! We couldn't finish them the first day and they were honestly better the second day. The beef was good but the noodles stole the show. They had a "bouncy" , chewy texture that you can only get with homemade. I want to go back and try some of the other dishes, but you will not be disappointed with the noodles. read more

Love their super simple set-up yet you get the most delicious dishes! It was my first time trying their biang biang noodles (one of the most popular items. It made me appreciate hand pulled noodles. Despite having minimal broth, this dish is so flavorful. I was still craving the dish 30 mins after I left the restaurant. The noodles have the perfect combination of gummy and soft. Most hand-pulled noodles I tried don't absorb flavor but these are so tasty. The golden braised beef noodle is also my new favorite. Perfect for a cold winter. The beef pieces are soft, fatty, and just melts in your mouth. I didn't try the pad Thai but my friend said it was good. Their dumplings are abot that exceptional but it's definitely different. My mother and I grabbed lunch here earlier today. As usual, their food was fantastic! I always order the Tiger Tofu--my favorite--and my mother ordered beef-n-broccoli. Everything is fresh and of quality ingredients. I have had a plethora of tofu dishes from an array of different locales, and by far theirs is the best. The perfect texture, spices and flavor. We had a quick lunch for the first time here and the food was a little different than we expected, but everything was interesting-good. Nothing we had tasted spicy, but had a good flavor. The wonton soup is different than other places with a little bit more of a fish sauce under town to it. The wontons were really good and the dumpling dough around it was delicate and well-made. The biang biang beef was the winner with the extremely long hand pulled noodles. Most of the flavor being on top, including a drizzle of black vinegar at one zone discretion. Even though it looked like a lot of chili flakes and chili oil, it was not hot at all. The Tiger tofu cubes were quite big and, as often happens, the vegetables were still pretty hard and crispy, but the tofu was super soft inside the temporal like batter. The sauce threw me a little bit because it was more sweet and sour versus what I thought might be spicy given the name, tiger sauce. Anyway, we'll come back and try other things like the Mapo tofu, and the skewers which looked like a popular choice among the other diners, which included families with kids. You're not coming for the ambiance. I would say it's a very cold restaurant due to the small area and proximity to the outside door. Make sure you wear a heavy sweater or like eating in your coat The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful explaining the menu and are clearly proud of their food and enjoy what they do. The food is outstanding. The pulled noodles are made in house. They are soft and have a good chew. They also make their own wontons. We tried three things: The Baing Biang is really good. Reminded me of some of the flavors of a pho, but the noodles really shine. Listed as spicy, you can have the chili oil on the side and and as much of that and the black vinegar as you like. The Peking Zhajiang Noodle is another dry dish that is milder and has a savory beef sauce, cucumbers and cilantro. I added a bit of chili oil to make it spicy. The sauce did not detract from the noodles. So good! If you like wonton soup, you will appreciate the freshness of the wontons and the greens. Our friend had the Dragon Eye stretch noodle served in a broth with a fried egg and subbed in beef-- which she loved. Great experience! We recommend! read more

I've ordered take out here a few times, I cannot get those hand pulled noodles out of my head. I always order extra noodles because they give you so much broth to go with it (or at least they do when it's packaged to go). My order is always ready very quickly and if you're really wanting to go above and beyond add a slice of their crepe cake! The food brought the rating down for me significantly, as I ended up leaving most of my meal uneaten. The best way I could describe the meal was that the entree had way too much of one flavor and the dessert had absolutely no flavor at all. You have to come here! Not only is the service incredible they are so kind and willing to help you make your orders work. I came in recently with an Uber credit and they helped me apply it to my order, even though I've already called ahead. The food is also incredible! It had been a long time since my last visit, but was so happy the food was just as delicious as I remembered. Friendly, helpful server greeted us and we sat at a little 4-top in the middle. It wasn't busy at all, but we came at a weird middle-of-the-day time. Ordered pan fried dumplings, dragon eye noodles, and biang biang noodles. Everything was fresh and delicious. Biang biang noodle is my favorite and today it slapped. Perfect balance of tang, spice, fresh, and chewy noodles. It's such a perfectly balanced plate, it's hard to order anything else! Hubs ordered the dragon eye noodle soup and it was light, delicious, and a huge portion of hand-pulled noodles. Pan fried dumplings were a perfect starter (6 pieces per order.) Only took off one star because the cafe itself is just left ok'ing a little worn around the edges. It could use a tiny bit of sprucing up and cleaning. Absolutely no shade tho. Finally tried the beef noodle soup at Jiu Thai! Their menu ranged from traditional Chinese food to more Americanized dishes like sesame chicken, and surprisingly they even have macarons!! The noodles themselves were very thick and doughy, and the portion was filling. The broth wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be so I'd probably add some extra sauce next time. The beef slices and radish paired well with the soup and cilantro added extra flavor. I also tried the lamb skewer, which was cooked well with lots of savory and salty spice on it. Wow. Just amazing. Got dinner with a friend and decided to come here for something new/different. It's your small cozy typical Asian restaurant with fast paced service. Food came out soon after ordering! Even though it's small, there are lots of seating and the server makes it feel like home. I didn't take pictures, but I ordered the mini vegetable spring rolls (5) and the biang biang noodles with beef. The noodles could've used a little more sauce for me, but I loved the level of chili spice. I paid extra for more beef, and I don't really feel like that was reflected in the portion size. But, there was a good sized portion of hand pulled, thick noodles that were tasty. The fresh bean sprouts and the sautéed bok choy added a nice crunch. The spring rolls were still warm and crispy! The atmosphere was that of a traditional noodle shop, that's how you know the food is good. The food was quite delicious, but for me, the Biang Biang Noodles are a must have. My husband and I love Thai food, so we decided to give this place a try. I missed seeing some of our favorite Thai options here like spicy Thai basil friend rice and panang curry. We got most of the items from the American menu. We ordered online through the restaurant we site. I recommend ordering online from their website as I notice Seamless charges $1 extra for most items. Our order was ready to go on time. I saw a lot of reviews recommending the biang biang. I have never had it, so ordered it. Unfortunately, this was the only item both of us did not like. Although, the noodle was nicely made, the dish was essentially flavorless. I actually ended up mixing it with the other food we got to make it tasty. It also did not have much beef in the dish. The sesame chicken was nice, the chicken was super crispy. The hunan chicken was okay, probably would not order again. The combo and chicken fried rices were good. I wish the other entrees allowed you to choose fried rice as an option, they came with steamed white rice. We really enjoyed the mango crepe cake as it was very light, but for the price ($7.50) and size of the single slice, we probably would not get again. Had to add more after our last trip. First, I have no idea why "thai" is in the name. The only thing thai is the not very good pad thai. That's it. (and it's the only bad thing there) What they really specialize in is food from the Shaanxi Province. They make hand stretched and rough cut noodles in house. NO one else has them that I know of. And they are like no other noodles I've every had, so chewy and delicious. I crave them. Get the biang biang noodles. Has cilantro, hot pepper (not much) pieces of thin beef and bok choi. Not a soup. You add vinegar to taste. Wham! Same noodle in their soups. The lamb is especially good (and again a Shaanxi thing). Finally I tried the "very delicious pork sandwich," which in reality is Rou jia mo. It is heavenly. perfect tender fall apart juicy pork....I can taste cinnamon, cumin...not sure what else. The bun is the perfect thickness, pretty thin and crispy. Side note: spend the 2 bucks for a couple of squid feet skewers! The dry bbq on them is wonderful. This time they were very tender. Before they've been a little tough but I didn't really care, so good. And again such a nice clean, relaxing non-pretentious place. With specialties you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in town. Don't get the pad thai. read more

Omg what a hidden gem! This place looks like any regular Chinese restaurant inside and out. However, when the food comes out prepare to be mind blown. This was by far one of the best Chinese restaurants we have been to in a long time. The food was quite authentic. None of the oily americanized Chinese food but rather quite a few authentic Chinese noodles. We got the fried rice and it came out looking bland but soo much flavor! Would definitely recommend. We also got a bunch more dishes such as the diving chicken, biang biang noodles and eggplant and everything was so good. Chicken so tender and the spicy dishes were just the right amount of spice.
