Per usual they do not disappoint The portions are huge veggies fresh and rice and noodles 10/10. It takes a little longer for the food to be ready but that's cause it's fresh fresh . Best spot for hibachi do yourself a favor and get you some .

Really cool spot with good sized portions. Customer service was good, people were kind. The wait was pretty long. But the food was good ! Flavor was there & you're provided with many sauce options. Plenty of parking also which is always a plus. Also got their spring roll which was delicious and hot!

The food was great. The neighborhood is dodgy and interior decor is bare bones. I ordered shrimp and steak. Fried rice. Big helpings.

I took my friend here to try their katsu and I was not disappointed. I decided to get their Ton Katsu Teishoku Set so I could try everything they had. This meal took me back to my trip to Japan. I like how they gave you sesame seeds to grind for your sauce. The pork katsu was crispy and juicy. I also thought the rice was perfectly cooked. When I came here, the server accidentally spilled some of the soup on me and was very apologetic. They offered me complimentary soup to make up for the accdient. Overall, I would definitely come back to try their other items like the curry!

Experience - walking in, this is more of fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and pick a seat. We ordered the Osaka ton katsu don (chicken) and the ton kotsu teishoku. It took a bit of time to make (we understand now because that day just happened to be understaffed) but it was completely worth it for the amazing taste. Food - For context, we're from new york, and as religious foodies, sowe're used to eating some of the best food in the world. We've had a few ok-ish restaurants here in the downtown area but nothing to write home about so we didn't have much expectations. However, we were pleasantly surprised that this restaurant exceeded even our highest expectations of food and service even by new york standards. The chicken is so crispy on the outside but so juicy on the inside - the PERFECT katsu texture and the sauce is amazing! When we went, it took a bit longer to get our food but they explained that they were understaffed and adjusting for demand. They seem pretty locally run and they were doing the best they can. I really appreciated the warm, personal touch in the end and would definitely say the food is 110% worth the wait. all in all 100/10! Definitely worth going out of our way for.

I ordered the thai spring rolls, thai wonton soup, steak hibachi, and fried bananas. Sadly this was below my expectations and I ended up throwing away half the food. Let's start with the positives. The hibachi was okay. It didn't have a whole lot of flavor but the portion size was large enough for leftovers and the steak was tender. The thai spring rolls were alright but I have had better. Again, they weren't very flavorful. This may be that the wonton soup was a thai version, but the flavor was awful. I had a spponful of the broth and had to throw it out. It was so disgusting. The fried bananas were brown and really squishy. They weren't appetizing after the disappointment from the rest of the meal. Later that evening my stomach also started hurting.

You order and pay at the kiosk and wait for them to bring it out to you. Our food took about 8 to 10 minutes. It looks clean inside, is brightly lit and the staff are very friendly and polite. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai which was quite delicious, one of the better versions in town. I counted 8 large shrimp covered by both thin and medium wide noodles which was odd and made it a little heavier but it worked for me on a certain level. The flavors were spot on Thai with that delicious mix of sweet, sour and salty. My only suggestion would be to get a little more scrambled egg and bean sprouts to lighten the heaviness of the rice noodles. My main sticking point is that they apparently don't offer lunch portions. The portions are dinner sized @ $17.99 but it's just far too much food for me and I'm not a fan of leftovers. Add a mini Pepsi @ $2.50 and tax and I had a nearly $21 lunch at a strip mall carryout? Ouch! There's a lot of positives that work well for others but the lack of a lunch portion will probably keep me away so... 4 Stars

For my birthday, I was happy to try this place out since this location was close to home. Columbus is slowly becoming the place for all things foodie and geeky and I love that for us! This place is located on the 1280 W 5th Street and Northwest Blvd. There is parking in the front, and the restaurant is small and cozy. The seating is for parties of 4 to 5 but arrangements can be made so talk to a server. The menu offered everything from drinks, small place to ramen and I wanted to try more. We got the salt and pepper shrimp, the Kyushu Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Hot tea and Takoyaki for a group of 5. Everything was piping hot and delicious and lightly seasoned to bring out the flavors of the overall dish. The servers were sweet and extremely helpful for explaining what things were and me, being a ramen nerd, could sit back and relax. I got the Kyushu Black Garlic Tonkotsu. It was so GOOD!! I love the taste of black garlic and the umami in the dish was so pleasant. The noodles were chewy, and the pork slices were so tender. The Tendernism! IYKYK. 5 stars for a great birthday meal that did not break the bank. Well, my friend covered my bill. :)

The edamame stood out because they generous with the flaky salt, which I personally loved. Sometimes places hold back, but this was well seasoned. 3. Customer Service (2.5/5) This is where things started to fall apart a bit. I stood at the front for about 12 minutes before being acknowledged, and the restaurant was nearly empty. I had to make eye contact with someone in the kitchen just to be seated. Service at the table wasn't much better. It took about 15 minutes just to get my drink order taken (which I had to flag the waitress down to order), and by that time I was ready to order my whole meal. I ordered an appetizer along with a couple of sushi rolls and some sake. I'm not sure if the waitress wasn't thinking about it, but she brought my rolls out before she even brought out my appetizer or my drink. The inconsistency was noticeable and took away from the experience. 4. Overall Taste (4.5/5) The food absolutely carried! I ordered a sweet potato roll and the Hoonie Roll, which ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Both were fresh, flavorful, and really well-balanced. Paired with the edamame and sake, everything came together nicely. 5. Overall Experience (3.9/5 ) Taking everything into account, the experience lands just under a 4. The food and atmosphere were strong, but the service created a noticeable disconnect. It's definitely one of those places where you'd go back for the food, but you'd hope the service catches up next time.

I was in the neighborhood today and decided to pick one up for late lunch/early dinner. Overall, it was okay. Expensive for the relatively small amount of food in my opinion, especially the beef rendang, but I realize beef is costly for restaurants lately. The rendang was tender, but not as flavorful as I was expecting (more salt might have helped). The coconut kale was a bit strange - I'm going to say that's mostly because I'm not a fan of kale, period. The vermicelli side was a nice addition, and the rice was great. I liked the mustofa potatoes, although they weren't "crispy" as described. The reheating instructions said to take out the little cup of potatoes first, but when cold they would have come out in a single clump, so I popped them in the microwave by themselves afterward for 15 seconds and that did the trick. Other issues: "consume by" date was yesterday. I don't worry too much about that kind of thing, but if you do, you might want to check your order before you leave the premises. Also, the container was too big to rotate in my small microwave. It worked out okay anyway. I tasted the sambal I got - nice heat, but again, not as much flavor as I was looking for. I'm sure I'll use it up elsewhere. Got a couple other things for lunch tomorrow, I'll update after I've tried them (pork bun, and cucumber salad). Bottom line: probably not your best choice for Indonesian food, if you're already familiar with it. Fortunately there's a place that's supposed to be opening later this year in Clintonville. Update: bumped up my rating based on the strength of the pork bun and cucumber salad. The bun: tender and fluffy like it was supposed to be. The filling - pork belly falling apart, perfect, cucumber on top, and a few shreds of pickled veg that I would have been happy to get a bit more of. Don't know what the condiment on the bun was, but all in all it was a very nice package for my lunch. The cucumber salad was delicious. Chili crisp made in house over chopped cucumber - lovely contrast. The chili crisp provides a nice little bite, not "hot" (YMMV, I like hot foods) but really tasty.
