If you need a computer repair, talk to Jose first! My girlfriend's HP laptop screen broke and the backlight then went out, leading us to seek a repair. Called a few other stores and could not get through to any service staff. Called JJ Computers and I was promptly greeted and told to bring the computer by for a free estimate. His shop is located on San Carlos street past Leigh Ave and has on street parking directly in front of the store which I liked. Entered the clean and simple shop where I met Jose and showed him the screen. He took down some information including the computer make, model, and some info from the back and said he would give me a call in the next couple days with an estimate. He was actually able to call me later that day with an estimate for the repair after locating the correct parts online. His prices were more than resonable and I returned to the shop to leave my laptop, a deposit, and let Jose put his talent to work. Jose called me the next week telling me the repair was done and he was able to ensure the touch screen features on the laptop functioned again! Something that my research was saying would not be easy... He was also very friendly and respectful which goes a long way when you are leaving your valuables with him. I took my HP Pavilion desktop PC to this place for a frustrating problem I have had with this computer a couple of times now. It would perform well for a while, and then suddenly, without warning, when I would turn it on, It would power up, I would get the HP logo on the screen, then the screen would go dark and nothing would happen... Windows would not start. The owner of this place, JJ, did not answer when I first called, but he called me back immediately. He was polite and respectful, and he listened carefully to my description of the problem. I took my PC in the next day, and left it with him. Within about three hours, he called me and said he got it working. Although it was not a complicated fix, It was certainly not simple either. The main point being, JJ was professional, trustworthy, responsive, attentive, and respectful. The cost of the repair was very reasonable also. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

I took my mac laptop because the keyboard was printing wrong symbols when I pressed keys. It turned out it was only a language preference. But I was wrongfully giving an estimate and what it needed. Said it needed a new keyboard that costs $$$. I waited a long time for my laptop to be fixed. Then he discovered it was a language setting but still charged me for the replacement keyboard hardware when my original keyboard didn't have any issues. read more

Despite a quick response after a coffee spill on my notebook - the screen no longer functioned even thought the computer did. Jose (& others I consulted with) was doubtful but he checked it out for a small fee and actually was able to fix the problem. The cost was very reasonable and the turn-around time amazing.
