What a great experience! Jay answered the phone and came by to look at the job (adding a power outlet behind a television on a wall, so the tv cords won't be visible). Cannot thank him enough, we had an incident at home with one of our outlets. We called fire fighters & they recommended we call a local professional electrician as they had to shut off our power. When our fuse box was sparking and buzzing, I called a few electricians, from different companies.. FOUR of them. And no one wanted to work on our panel because it's old and unstable. But they did make sure they got paid for their "house visit" which was pretty lame. They all wanted me to call pg&e to shut off the power before they work on it. Well pg&e requires a permit, to get the permit - it's gotta be inspected etc. Etc.- - YA. no. Then came Jay from JJ Electric. This guy comes at 745am looks at our panel and told us we need to replace it asap. He explained why, he showed us the issues and root cause of the problem we're having. THEN he puts on a pair of gloves and started yanking on LIVE POWER CABLES like it's a twizzler candy to get the power working. He jokingly said "Wow, you guys like to live dangerously huh?! .." which lightened up the grim news of our house needing a costly panel upgrade. BUT! That alone my friend; has earned you the business. We appreciate the knowledge and time you took to explain. Thank you. Fast Forward 3 months later and he started to work on the Panel Upgrade project. Everyday he came, he gave us a time frame and what will be done. Communication is next to flawless. Wow! Jay did a fantastic job! I had two chandeliers that needed to be installed and he was able to accommodate me under short notice. Jay really values his customer's time and he made sure to inform 1.5 hours before our appointment that he would be running late. I really appreciate that as I was able to fit my schedule accordingly. I was actually trying to get the job done myself with my fiancé but it was too heavy for us to complete the job, so we called for a professional. Jay is attentive to details and he made sure you were satisfied with the way the light is sitting, if it was slanted, the chain length too short or too long, he didn't hesitate to make adjustments for you, even though it meant to redo some of the procedures. I didn't even notice this, but he told me my dimmer wasn't working right and he was able to fix that for me too! I had an issue with my pool switch where it short circuited and wire burned off and needed new wiring, so I called JJ Electric and talked to Jay. Jay was very responsive and sent his electrician James to take a look and rewire it. James was on time and did a great job and re-wired it. I realized later that something was still not working. So even though I had already paid Jay for the service, I asked him to have James come back and take a look out of good faith. Jay responded right a way and scheduled for James to come back the next day. James came back and found the issue and fixed the problem.
