I came for a refill since my usual eyelash lady didn't have time. This place is located in a building so you will have to take the stairs to find Julie. Their suite was relatively small. Julie speaks minimal English as well. Process took maybe 30-40 min for a refill. It was pretty relaxing in there. But she did not as what kind of curl or length, which is strange to me. I came in with CC curls and she put on C curls for me. And she would just use the heated eyelash curler to make it more curly. When I got into my car, I noticed that it wasn't a fantastic job. The lashes weren't even, some higher than others. Also when I brushed it out with a brush, I could definitely feel that the lashes weren't glued on evenly. I felt clumps of lashes together that I couldn't even brush apart. Fast forward only 6 days and they started falling off already. She's very seasoned and skilled at extractions and your necessary facial needs. Her facial price is just a bargain for what you get. This was my first time getting eyelash extensions and it was such an great experience! I was recommended by my co-worker Gina, so I decided to treat myself and my mom. The process takes about an hour and Julie really takes the time to ensure perfection. Synthetic lashes are $55 and premium mink are $88. Going into it, my mom and I just wanted to do the synthetic, but they are really stiff and we felt the mink was going to look more natural. You can choose for a "natural" or "dramatic" look. She began explaining the lengths she uses on me and I believe my inner lashes were a 9 and my outer were a 10 in length (whatever that means). However, I find it helpful to know, that way if I ever wanted lashes that were just a little bit longer, I could tell her what she did last time. She takes great pride in making sure you feel good by the end of the appointment. As far as her pricing goes, it really cannot be beat! I drove all the way from Santa Clarita to see Julie and it was well worth it! Her English is limited as she speaks Mandarin, but making appointments via text is very easy. Got eyelash extensions here about 2 months ago. I asked for classic long lashes but in turn received volume (which in the moment did not bother me too much as I was excited). I asked for 1:1 lashes multiple times before and during the appointment, but she insisted 3:1 (three cluster extension on 1 lash) and I went with it. Throughout the process, my eyes stung a lot, but Julie reassured me nothing would happen. I left with really red eyes but was satisfied with how my lashes looked. Later on that night my eyes were bloodshot and stung extremely badly. I sent a text w a picture, concerned, as I never expected such results alongside a new set of lashes, and was met with a "this is normal, wait a few days". I went on a google hunt after and discovered Julie definitely allowed fumes into my eyes either through glue or eye-pads being too far in. This pain and redness lasted through the week, which happened to be my Birthday as well as the whole reason I got the lashes in the first place. The thing is, if this was the only complication I had I would not be writing this review. After a week, clumps of my lashes were falling off and my left eye's extensions were completely twisted together and falling off. This continued to happen until about 3 weeks, my other eye remained fine yet my lashes were still falling in clumps. Both eyes felt crusty and just uncomfortable. An awful feeling as I was on vacation and could not get them immediately removed. Fast forward two months, I got my lashes off today at another salon (The technician asked me plenty of questions and even asked me if my eyes stung after REMOVING my lashes, something Julie didn't even do once or acknowledge even after I mentioned it) She mentioned that there was too much glue applied as well as improper application, which resulted in clustering and the rapid loss of lashes. I am extremely upset at the results (half my lashes are gone/half the length) but thankful that the extensions are finally gone. I've been to Julie for the past 4 years for facials and eyelash extensions, and I couldn't ask for anyone better than her. I was referred to her by a friend to try out eyelash extensions due to her ridiculously low price with high skills... $45 for a full set. Any length, any fullness. And only $25 for refills. Mink lashes $79. Anyone can charge low price, but can they do it with high skills and speed? No. Only Julie. And yes it stays for a long time if you are gentle with it I now get regular facials from her, and for a 1.5hr microdermabrasion facial, she only charges $55. So as you can see, why I am stuck with her forever. Her regular facials are $45, and it's amazing. The friends I've brought to see her for facials or lashes don't go anywhere else after seeing Julie. One other thing I appreciate Julie so much for is her honesty and not being pushy. She never pushed any products on me since day 1. As a matter of fact, I have to force her to recommend products to me!! This is unheard of. But because of this, I feel safe going to her knowing not to be harassed during my beauty ritual. I feel terrible that I haven't reviewed Julie until now, because she is an AMAZING eyelash tech. My friends know that for the past year, I have been religious about "my eyelash lady," and often drive 1-1.5 hours from UCLA to see her. First of all, her prices are unparalleled. Most eyelash extensions in LA cost $100+, but she charges less than half that! Furthermore, most salons will refuse to give you the "Fill" price if they think the extensions you have left are too sparse to work with (for those who've never had extensions before, a Full Set is a brand new set of extensions, and Fills are for returning customers to maintain their lashes), but Julie always gave me the Fill price even when I came in with only a few lashes left. For me, the first time I got extensions, it hurt to wash my face and I thought quite a lot fell out, but after a few sessions, my eyes seemed to adapt and now my eyelash extensions are long-lasting and pain free! Julie's skills have definitely improved as well. When I first started seeing her a year ago, I would sometimes see clumps of lashes fall out, which is a huge no-no (each lash should be individually applied), but now her work is perfect! Julie is the best!!! Go to her if you want luxurious lashes done extremely well at a CHEAP price (both synthetic and mink). She recently raised her prices about 10 dollars but it's still a freaking steal! I have gotten lash extensions continuously for almost 4 years and have tried all sorts of places from cheap beauty salons to expensive shops in the Los Angeles area to private in-home services. Since I found Julie about 1.5 years ago, I have not gone to anyone else unless I am absolutely desperate because Julie is out of town. She is the sweetest lady and always wants you to leave loving your lashes. She does not speak English very well but scheduling appointments with her is easy as you can text her what you want and what times you are available to go in.
