Just some info on me, I have very oily skin and my natural lashes are very few and thin. **old review** My honest opinion. The hair quality is great. I paid extra $28 for the 5D/9D. The glue she used didn't irritate my eyes at all. The end result was lovely. The last time I had results this great was in Japan. The next day about half of the hairs on my left eye fell off. It's been less than a week and about 70% of all the lashes are gone. My friends thought I had them done a month ago and I had to explain it's less than a week. I'm going to give it another try because I like how they look but I'll ask for more glue. I have my refill in 2 days and I'll update my review after 2 weeks.

Initially, I believed the lashes themselves were poor quality because they felt stiff, bent in an unusual way, and caused significant irritation. After posting this review, the owner reached out and explained that it's possible my irritation was caused by the type of glue used rather than the lashes themselves. Regardless of the cause, my eyes were very irritated throughout the experience, and I've never had that reaction after years of getting lash extensions. I also have photos showing how some of the extensions bent in an unusual way. At the end of the appointment, I was only given a single spoolie. Based on other customers' reviews, I expected the aftercare kit that many people received. I also wasn't given any instructions on how to clean or care for my lashes. Unfortunately, the retention was also very poor. In less than a week, all of my lash extensions had fallen off. I've never had that happen before, so I was very surprised and disappointed with the longevity of the application. Before posting this review, I reached out to the salon to share my concerns. They apologized and offered me a small discount to come back so they could add longer lashes and the bottom lashes that were originally requested. While I appreciated the offer, I didn't feel comfortable returning because of the discomfort I experienced and the poor retention. There was also one part of the experience that made me feel uncomfortable. During my appointment, I noticed three people gathered around me and speaking in Mandarin. I am still learning Mandarin, so it's entirely possible I misunderstood or misheard parts of the conversation, and I don't want to make assumptions. However, at the time I felt like they were discussing me, which left me feeling uneasy. After this review was posted, the owner explained that one of the individuals was actually a student being trained, which is why multiple people were involved. I appreciate the clarification, but I do wish I had been informed beforehand that my appointment would be used as part of a training session so I could have decided whether I was comfortable with that. I truly appreciate that the owner and Amy personally reached out after my review, explained that the irritation may have been related to the adhesive, clarified the training situation, and apologized for my experience.

I've been coming to Ms Kawaii for almost 5 years now but the past year their quality declined…read more Lashes are falling off quickly and each time I see 1 fake lash glued to 3-4 of my natural lash. The glue is also super clumpy that sometimes I'd get eye irritation. Now my natural lashes are short and have holes from the extension glue ripping them out. The service is always super quick which is nice, but sometimes a fill only takes 15 minutes and half of the lashes would be gone by the 10 day mark. This shows that quality is compromised because of the fast service. When I first came to Ms Kawaii, my lashes would stay full for 4-5 weeks. Now my lashes are almost gone in 10 days. There's also an old lady that works there that was super rude! I wanted a particular style but she pushed for a different style. When I said I didn't want it, she did not seem happy and proceed to do a horrible job! I texted the manager and they gave me a partial refund but I have to pay for removal. Unsure how I feel about this resolution, especially since I always pay $90+ each time I come (before tip!!) Definitely don't come here if you care about your lash health.
