The waitress responded that it wasn't set, and the owner said she would clean a booth on the other side. From this point on, the owners demeanor noticeably shifted to one of irritation. As we waited, the owner made a pointed remark to the waitress in our clear earshot: "Don't let anyone treat you that way." This was both unprofessional and shocking, especially since we had not treated anyone any type of way. Once seated, we simply ordered a coffee and a water--using "please" and "thank you"--but the tension did not let up. While retrieving our drinks, the owner continued talking about us to the waitress, who was visibly looking in our direction. My father, who is hard of hearing, was fortunately unaware of the escalating commentary. However, I could not ignore it. When the owner returned with our drinks, I calmly asked if there was a problem with us requesting a booth. Instead of clarifying professionally, she leaned into my father's face and accused him of being rude, listing off excuses about seating processes, staffing, and previous customers. At this point, we decided to leave, saying only, "Alright, let's go." In response, the owner loudly told us to "leave" and "get out" in front of the entire dining room. This experience was embarrassing, unprovoked, and unacceptable. I've supported both of these establishments for years, but I will not be returning. To fellow diners: BEWARE.
