Finally stopped in this restaurant after years of going by it on the way to North Conway. The restaurant was clean the wait staff was very friendly and the food was good However, we sat at the bar and we could see into the kitchen. It was disturbing to see the crooks working without any gloves, picking up food, cross, contamination of food with no gloves, and when the plates were prepared they would separate the portions with their hand. No gloves or utensils used. If I hadn't seen this, it would've been a five star review. I'd love to say I'd go back, but it was disturbing to see how the food was being handled by the kitchen staff. read more

I was seated and then a table was sat down after me and was helped before me. I was not acknowledged and It was very awkward.

Suddenly we had free time so we decided on breakfast. Tasty, quick basic breakfast. Pancakes were a tad on the thick side but were tasty. Good bacon! Hash browns were nice and crunchy and not burned like I get at a lot of places. Special was Irish Benedict which I was told was very good. We were chatting with the front office lady at our motel about local breakfast joints and all of a sudden she got real animated and said something about us having to go to Rosie's. That was enough for us! As we parked our car at Rosie's and walked to the front door we saw that it was crowded. We also saw, courtesy of a sign board that Rosie's has a unique seating policy - no reservations and no need to give a name to the hostess. Instead, you just line up and periodically a hostess will come out and gather info on how many people are in your party to manage who gets seated next. As we worked our way up the outdoors line and then into the building we had a good opportunity to watch Rosie's crew in action. I was struck by two things- how many regular customers were greeted by name and the warm embraces so many received. We saw one young toddler who must have been hugged by 3 different servers. I was also struck by how hard they worked and how cheerful they all were. One young lady really stood out-she literally sprinted to and from every table she interacted with. Our server Jordan was a delight, chatting with us about Rosie's famous cinnamon rolls, and just being overall charming. She brought us coffee right away and took our order for two over easy eggs, a side of scrambled eggs, a cinnamon roll, and a side of their homemade corned beef hash. Man oh man was the food great, and I have to tell you about their hash. Rosie's sells two kinds of hash - "Store" for $4.59 and Home made for $5.99. You'd be a fool to save a buck and a half and go for the store bought hash, because their Home Made hash is a grand slam home run out of the stadium.  No teeny tiny shreds of corned beef here, it was jam packed with big hunks of excellent meat. And as expected, the cinnamon roll was great and they sell four packs to go if you have a hankering for that. So in terms of excellent friendly service, a big menu, excellent food, and good value ($21.54 for our two meals) Rosie's is an easy Five Star No Brainer. read more

Note: Rosie's is cash only. This is a really great place for breakfast or lunch. They don't have a lot of tables so beware what time you get there on a weekend, but you're bound to enjoy whatever you order. I recommend one of the breakfast bowls or sandwiches. read more

Came in crowded every waitress was smiling. Very upbeat lunch and breakfast only though. Ordered the "Let's hash it out" choice of house made hash or canned. Who would order that is beyond me. I am so glad that I was able to come here with my husband on a Tuesday morning. He had been going to Rosie's since he was 5 yrs. old & raved about it. It's a very cute place with the friendliest waitstaff I have ever encountered! Their menu offers some great options! I went with one of their "NEW" menu items: Poutine Breakfast Bowl. OHHHH MYYYY GOSH it was so amazing! It was just the right portion & their homemade wheat bread is delightful. My husband had the Western Omelet with a side of their homemade corn beef hash. I got to have a bite; super delicious! When they asked if he wanted homemade or canned corn beef hash, it was almost like...why would you even ask? HOMEMADE ALL THE WAY! :) We were hoping to see Rosie or Cindy, but they both happened to have the day off. We will go again soon! Stopped here on the way home from a wedding weekend and needed a good coffee and a full belly ! There was a long line but it was well worth the wait ! Great food friendly service ! A little more expensive then a typical diner but the food is not a grease pit . The hash browns are cooked different then I've ever seen them in 47 years ! Everything was great but the only thing that could use improvement is the coffee. The corned beef hash was cooked perfectly and tasted great ! That's how it should be served universally ! This place looked like a cute little spot off the side of the road, in the middle of seemingly nowhere. When I walked in, there was one couple in front of me waiting for a table and one couple walked in behind me. The waitress came back to ask me how many in my party and I said "I'm just looking to place a to go for one bagel" and she looked me dead in the face and told me it would be an HOUR. I said "for a bagel?" And she shrugged her shoulders. I walked in to pick up a singular bagel to go on my way home. I don't think that is ridiculous. It was such an unreal comedic moment that the couple behind me actually laughed in complete shock. Talk about the easiest money ever lost. Just in town for the day and stumbled across Roses by whim. So pleasantly surprised -- they have the best breakfast! We got the hash tag hash dish and the stuffed french toast. Waited in line for about ten minutes but we came in right at lunchtime. Would recommend! Super friendly staff too. read more

My family and I have been visiting NH mainly North Conway and Lincoln area for over 15 years and have driven past this place every time on the way home. Currently we are staying at a campground with our RV near by and stopped in Rosie's Restaurant for some breakfast. Service was fast and the staff is BEYOND friendly and attentive!!! Both my husband and I agreed this is one of THE BEST breakfast/lunch places we've eaten at! The eggs are cooked to perfection, the meats are delicious, home fries are delicious and oh you HAVE to order their homemade toast, super yummy!!!! We loved this place so much we went the next morning for breakfast and plan on visiting for lunch to try one of their delicious looking burgers! If you're in the Ossippee, NH area this place is a MUST!!!! Friday morning wasn't too busy but Saturday morning there was a little bit of a wait to be seated. No more than 10-15 minutes but even if it were a 30min wait we would've waited because it's SO worth it!!!! read more

One of the best breakfast spots in White Mountain area. Firstly, the wait staff was super upbeat and fast. The food was cooked to perfection (sunny eggs and homemade hash was on point). We started with 2 large homemade cinnamon rolls that we split between the 5 of us. It was grilled and delicious. The hash I ordered crispy and that's exactly how it arrived. Had such an amazing meal here! My number one suggestion will be to note the hours, as we arrived just at noon on a Sunday -- which is when they close. Luckily, even though the tables were all packed, we were graciously allowed to wait for one to open up. I also noted a few people came in around 12:30 and were served, so it seems that if they're busy they're not too strict about closing down on time. The coffee was quite good as far as diner coffee goes, and I started off with a cinnamon roll. It was yummy, but on the colder side. I was a bit disappointed, as I had hoped it would be warmed up for me. For my meal, I had the loaded omelet with hash browns and white toast. The toast was amaaaazing and the omelet and hash browns were both great. The staff were also quite friendly, too. The server we had was unbelievably sweet and had a great sense of humor. She was quite memorable and I have to hope she'll be there when I return in the future. Overall, it was definitely a wonderful place to get brunch! read more

This spot is will not disappoint you, I 10/10 recommend going all the food seems great on the menu but more importantly their customer service is incredible. My server was Jordan and I couldn't be more impressed with the way every staff member handled themselves especially during COVID. They were polite, energetic, and you just get this good vibe feeling when you're in there! We noticed the customer service and relationship between the owner and some of the customers and the staff was interacting with the locals often. The owner (Rosie) I presume, brings food out and does her part like everyone else. It's a great business. This is a great breakfast place in this neck of the woods. Rosie's Restaurant is a casual breakfast and lunch place with a full service dining room inside and outside takeout windows (serving Gifford's Ice Cream (Hard), Hood Soft Ice Cream, smoothies, & regular hot food items). The breakfast menu is standard fare and the lunch menu offers sandwiches, burgers, chicken fingers, soups, salads, seafood dinners & rolls, and homemade desserts. Dinner is also served Thurs-Sat. I stopped here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and the place was really busy with short waits for seating. The dining room has finished wood walls, framed art, with booths & tables only. Once being seated, I was offered coffee ($1.49). Menus are already at the table and I decided on the Morgan's Omelette ($7.59), substituted for 2 egg beaters (add $0.99) which had sausage patty, broccoli, and cheese, served with choice of home fries (I got garlic & onion) and homemade white toast. The food took 15 minutes to arrive at this very busy time. The portion was just right and the omelette was nice and fluffy and very good. The garlic & onion home fries were fresh diced potatoes, cooked on the grill and the buttered toast was light and thick. The service was good with refill top offs on coffee. There were 3 staff working the dining room working together. The waitress who took my order has a very striking resemblance to our very own famous "Yelp Boston CM" who I just saw very recently, same look, hairdo and all. I had to keep drinking coffee to make sure my eyes were not playing tricks, definitely not the case. I thought to myself, we should do a breakfast Yelp event someday, but how many Yelpers would actually show up after a night tying some down. Anyways, I highly recommend Rosie's for breakfast which was great and also judging by the crowds here, lots of hungry travelers and campers present. I was a happy camper!
