This place was delicious! We came down to Atlantic City to see a show last night and stumbled upon this place, but we got way more than a convenient close place to eat. Sundays at JJ's are for Chicken and Waffles and they did not disappoint! The omelets were also delicious and made with fresh ingredients. Shay, our waitress was super sweet and accommodating which made our breakfast that much more enjoyable. Definitely a go-to brunch spot! Ordered the biscuits&sausage gravy with corn beef hash. AMAZING! The service was great, we were served coffee as we waited for a table. Finally! We were there this morning. Having had such bad luck with decent places to eat, based on Yelp, we were leary when the parking lot was empty at 930 on a Sunday. We decided to give it a go anyway and so glad we did! Here the electric was out and they were winging it with a genorater. By the time our coffee came the power was back. The kids had their favorite, chipped beef. A two thumbs up from both of them. I had a "big breakfast" (not sure of the real name) two eggs, perfectly cooked over easy, sausage patty, two strips of bacon, two pancakes (real pancakes, fluffy and light) and homefries (done right). Everything was great and the service outstanding. Next we do lunch...unless we do breakfast again. Either way we have found a new place! Thank GOD and thank Yelp. read more

Phenomenal little diner on a lonely little stretch of Delilah Road between Fire and New Roads. Seeing this little nondescript building sitting off the road, you don't think to yourself "This place is a gem" but it most definitely is. The key to a great diner is the coffee; I've been to many diners that have served great food but the coffee was slightly better than swill. This place has amazing coffee; they have a grinder to make it as fresh as they can, and I cannot recall the name of their supplier at the moment but I will say that I would stop at this place SPECIFICALLY for the coffee. I have never said that about a diner before. And the food is all made from scratch, big portions (my 17 year old walking garbage disposal couldn't finish his breakfast and needed a box, that's saying something), reasonable prices and delicious. Hurry up and get there before this place gets too popular and you have to wait an hour for a table. read more

A few minutes off the beaten path on the way home from New Years in AC we found this hidden gem. Fresh, premium ingredients cooked with love and served with a smile. Coffee was excellent too. Just the kind of place you expect to see featured on a cooking channel. My strawberry stuffed French toast was an absolute 5 star dish. Let me preface this review by saying that I understand restaurants are still adjusting to the new norms, but my boyfriend and I have been out many times to eat for breakfast at other places and didn't have a poor experience. I really wanted to leave a good review but the experience here this morning wasn't a good one. I've been to JJ's before at their old location a couple years ago and it wasn't like this. Maybe they've bitten off more than they can chew with the larger location now or they're understaffed right now. We got there and didn't have anyone in front of us to be seated and it took 15 minutes to be sat at a table with many tables sitting unbussed where people were previously sitting. So this wasn't an issue relating to the 25% capacity ordinance. The woman who eventually sat us was also a server who we saw running to answer the front desk phone a couple times while we were waiting. When we did get sat, a server did come and take our drink order, but she told us she'd be right back to take our food order. It took about another 15 minutes for her to come back to take the food order. And it took another 25 minutes to finally get our food which wasn't anything intricate. To boot, my breakfast platter that was supposed to come with sausage was missing the sausage. We really don't like to complain particularly during this difficult time but we did say something to our server because the wait was so long in combination with missing food. The bill didn't get adjusted. Really disappointed with the whole experience this morning. With so many other good breakfast spot options, we'll be going elsewhere. read more
