To be honest, I enjoy the servers, and the selection of draft beers, more than the food. This is one of those places that is well situated for a specific neighborhood. Folks in the Palisades area of Lake Oswego, and those living not too far away, or who know the servers, will enjoy their time here. The sandwiches, especially the grinders, are quite good. The pizza, which is from the Bellagio's next door, also owned by the owners, is okay. I am sorry to say that the inconsistency of the pizza from this branch of the chain is not only not spectacular, but is sometimes made by seemingly indifferent employees, because I have had problems with half the pizzas I have ordered at the bar. However, the neighborhood feel of the pub keeps me coming back. Strip mall decor, but interesting property and good staff. read more

Quick note, I added the potato chips. Had the Bellagio grinder...sub par at best. There were two thin layers of meat on a massive dry hoagie roll. The marinara was fine. I just wish it would have had a lot more meat. The price was reasonable and the waitstaff was tip-top. read more

When I moved back into the neighborhood I was cautiously excited to see that it had acquired a pub. I was cautiously excited because being in LO there's a solid chance of a place having its nose in the air. The instant I walked in I knew that would not be the case. The bartenders are awesome and down to earth. They manage to keep the LO pretentiousness away. People that are awesome love this place. People that aren't so awesome are given second chances but not a third. Stop by if you're looking for a great neighborhood pub and you're not a total jackass. read more

Came here for dinner for something simple- everyone at the table got the chicken ranch sandwich and I couldn't go against the grain so I also went with it and BOY! Was I glad that I did!! Everything on the menu was reasonably priced! I think the sandwich and chips were $7.50 or $8. Nothing too fancy- Pretty large, about a 10" or a footlong, skinny but stuffed with chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese and of course ranch! The bread looked hard but that's why looks can be deceiving because it was perfect...kinda crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside! It came with a bag of my FAVORITE brand of chips- Tim's kettle. I had the second half for lunch the next day and it was still good! The only thing was that it seemed like it was a one man band show. The bartender was bartending, getting everyone's orders and bringing out the food for the entire establishment. The food took awhile and I don't know if it was the kitchen or because he was wrapped up in doing his thing and maintaining drinks. read more

Great spot for a drink or two. The beer selection is great and the bartenders are super nice. I think it is really cool how they have the bar section but also the "kid" section as well so kids under 21 can still enjoy the pizza. read more

We were looking for a new / easy pub for dinner, and my wife had noticed JJ's Pub new the grocery we shop at. If you're looking for a nice pub, with family seating and a bar area, throw-back (and quite) video games (Mz Pac-Man for example), food by Bellagios, plus a full bar and nice selection of bottled beer and on-tap beer, JJ's is someplace you want to check out. If you aren't a regular, then you won't get served, especially by the female bartender. I waited for a beer for 10 minutes and she even picked up my empty glass. Never offered me another one. Took her 5 more minutes to take the money I left on the bar. Pathetic service. I thought I had found a new place to go, but I won't be back. period. read more

I really want to like this place because it is very convenient but after half dozen visits, I don't think I'll be back, unless it's just for beers. The food is just sub par. The pizza from Bellagios was much better when they were in their old location. Now the crust is doughy and not crisp and the toppings are skimpy. Sandwiches are on decent bread but only a thin layer of meat/cheese. Skimpy toppings on salads too. To top it off, even the chicken wings are bad. Super greasy. They do have a good selection of beers and usually the service is good. If you want a place to bring the soccer team where parents can let the kids run around outside and no one minds that the food is unimaginative and poorly executed, you might really like it here. read more

We didn't realize this place served Bellagios food... that said the ambiance is nice, they have a family friendly area and an bar area where no kids are allowed. It might be a nice neighborhood place to grab a beer, but I don't think we'll be visiting again. We don't live in the area, therefore, there are other, better places to watch a game or grab food. read more

I am so happy we have something in the neighborhood that loves its locals and welcomes visitors. They were smart to have a family friendly area, and also a separate bar area. This is a perfect local/neighborhood bar that is connected to Bellagios pizza. I go at least once a week to play the slots, have some pizza and a cocktail or two. Sara and Brent are behind the counter and are generally very nice. This is my refugy. read more

South Lake Oswego needed a family friendly neighborhood pub, and now they have it. JJ's is attached to Bellagios, so take the family for pizza and arcade fun - or leave the kids home and enjoy the cozy bar. Clean. Menu is primarily pizza due to being attached to a pizza place. Bartenders are engaging...oh, and they play awesome soundtracks! Great place. Nice "neighborhood bar" vibe. My 3rd return and not my last. read more

This place is awesome. They have a fun bar area and also a separate room for dining and private parties. Plenty of parking, lots of big TVs to watch your favorite game and the food is from Bellagios, the extraordinary pizza place right next door (same owner, a local family owned business). Brent and his entire staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. From the moment I first called to make the reservation, everyone I spoke with were super nice and made me feel at ease. They had the pizzas ready when everyone arrived (as I requested since I placed the order in advance), set up the food and tables beautifully, and constantly checked back with me to see if we needed anything. The Basil Chicken pizza was particularly good. If you are looking for good pizza in a convenient location, JJs cant be beat. Great for family pizza night, grabbing a beer to watch the game, or a large party. Thank you, I will be back! read more
