Needed to get my car tinted so I made an appointment. Jesus was responsive and very nice on the phone. We set a schedule to have the car windows tinted. However, I had to cancel because the dealership needed to work on the car. I was told they only needed the car overnight so I rescheduled with Jesus for 2 days later to be on the safe side. Again, I felt horrible but had to cancel as the dealership needed the car until Monday of the following week. Jesus was super nice and texted back each time. I finally got the car back and Jesus came straight away to tint the car. He did a fantastic job and finished in time as promised. I can see why JK Mobile Window Tinting has a five star on Yelp! BAIT AND SWITCH WARNING: Predatory Pricing & Legal Violations…read more I love to support local small businesses, but not the 'Bait and Switch' I experienced here. I have a written email quote from Precision Tint explicitly stating: 'you're looking at about 699.00 total' for ceramic tint and removal. Despite this written agreement, the shop manually entered a $900.00 'Custom Amount' plus tax on my receipt, totaling $983.25. This is a blatant violation of California Business and Professions Code § 9884.9, which prohibits charging a penny over a written estimate without a new, signed authorization. It is also a violation of the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code § 1770) regarding deceptive 'Bait and Switch' pricing. Charging nearly $1,000 for window tint on a small 4-door car is ridiculous. There is nothing 'prestige' or luxury about this service that justifies a 40% markup over their own written quote. The shop ignored three separate formal attempts to resolve this billing error. Formal complaints have been filed with appropriate entities. Hopefully, this saves others the headache of being overcharged. Shady business practices, please avoid. His service was fast and punctual. He was able to tint my windows efficiently. He also informed me about the benefit of having your house windows tinted. I scheduled an appointment for my windows to be tinted the following week. I was pleased with his service, and I would definitely continue to recommend him to my family and friends. I was nervous that tint wouldn't look that good because my car is a bluish grey but Jesus recommended what tint shade would be best for my car and he was right! I called Jesus on a whim. Asked if he was mobile. He said of course! I'm in your area actually and can be there in 40 mins. He showed up promptly. I told him what I wanted and he was done in 40 mins give or take. The tint looks incredible and am excited about the ceramic tint and it's ability to keep the interior cool! This guy is amazing. Got a quote the day before and he came all the way to Long Beach & did an amazing job the next night. I thought I had given him the full amount of money and I was 10$ short! & That's not okay on my part but he had trust me and didn't count the cash until he got half way home! & Told me not to worry about it!
