You may never get it back. They cannot be trusted.

Spent about a quarter of the time at carmax as I did with these guys and got a better, safer and cleaner car for my teenage daughter at CarMax. Save your time and money and skip this place.

I only paid for the inside of my Ford Taurus to be professionally detailed. Price wise I would say they are on par with anyone around. Danny Tucker, the salesperson, was immediately rude, dismissive, and flat-out hostile. Instead of answering basic questions about financing and my trade-in, he made the process more stressful and combative. When I asked for help from management, Chance Myers, the sales manager, was no better. He was also hostile at first. Later they tried to make up for it with some bullsht*, which I ended up passing on. It's clear this dealership has no understanding of customer service or respect for the people walking through their doors. I left with zero trust in this dealership and will never return. If you value professionalism, honesty, or even basic respect, stay far away from MAG Automotive Group. There are many better dealerships in Kansas City that actually put the customer first -- this one does not.

Upon arrival, the service representative assured me that the work would take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Trusting their word, I planned my entire day around that timeline. The Reality of the Experience: The Delay: After waiting for 3.5 hours with absolutely no updates, I finally went to check on my vehicle myself--only to discover they hadn't even started on it yet. A Widespread Issue: I wasn't the only one. The waiting room was filled with multiple other frustrated customers who had also been left waiting for hours on end for simple services. Management's Response: I ended up speaking directly with the Service Manager, and his only response was to say he was sorry and that they were "behind." No kidding they were behind! Forcing customers to wait over four hours for a basic oil change and tire rotation without a single proactive update was completely irresponsible and unacceptable. Saying "we're behind" does not excuse a total lack of communication and respect for a customer's time. This dealership seriously needs to get their house in order to better serve their customers. STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT! The car dealer would not buy back my…read more2014 iQ (Toyota Scion brand) saying it was too old. But CARMAX didn't flinch when providing an online offer so I took it in, expecting they would lowball it, which they did: by 1/3. However, some inconsistencies were reported by the agency, reflecting odometer tampering, battery & tires purchase dates, that were bringing down the price. Jose, at the Independence store gave me a number to call and see if the agency could match the information could explain so it could be updated before COB. Agency said it would take 3 hours, already 2:30, so it would be close. Long story short, the agency came through (I didn't have to spend the night in the store, as I had decided to stay until the items were updated). The final check was just what I was quoted on the CARMAX site. I knew what my car's value was. It was PERFECT and the store could set it out on the lot without touching up anything! EVERYONE, whether selling outright, or trading, should read carefully the details on the printed estimate that can bring a car's price down several thousand dollars. I ended up walking out with a check a few hundred less than the original online offer.
