What a great little burger and beer joint. Modern box exterior hides a cozy pub inside. When you walk through the door you are greeted by a bar on the left side that runs about halfway down. Booths and tables on the right then beyond the bar you have more tables. They even have an enclosed outdoor seating area at the back for the good days and nights. The beer selection is pretty good. We even found a nice lingonberry gose to take home in a growler. The burgers are delicious and we enjoyed their fresh made chips as well. The pretzel was pretty good too with a crisp buttery crust that kept me going back for more. The extra find was their fresh made peanut butter. If we lived here I think I would have to stop by regularly for their peanut butter to take home. Service was top notch with frequent checks to see if we needed anything.

Holy Mecca of beers and burgers! If you enjoy both, you should probably ask to move in here bc the choices are a plenty! For burgers under $6 you cannot go wrong. Fries were hella good but damn that cheddar jalapeno spice they throw on will scorch your mouth for the remainder of your stay. Biggest downside to this place was the temperature. I should have asked for a side order of heat! Chairs are metal so your ass is frozass, and most ppl kept their jackets on... Hello! Thats a sign! I wore mine like a blanket over my legs like a loser but whatever, I do what I want!! I bet in summer this place would be pretty cool, and their unique types of burgers sounded delish. Mine was also fantastic (mushroom/swiss/teriyaki sauce,) and the black bean quinoa patty was killer tasty too! Def recommend if you want to try your beer buds with a smorgasbord variety of brews and eat a tasty burger for fairly cheap.

Classic burger with Junkyard Coachgun IPA

I came here for an early dinner. It looked like a fairly new restaurant. It was all by itself on one side of the block. I was seated immediately and ordered their classic burger with first a Junkyard Coachgun IPA. I followed that up with a Fargo Mighty Red. I also sampled a few other local beers. The waiter had me sample two other beers that he thought I would like. They were a Southern Tier 2xone and Rush River Double Bubble. They were both good beers. I preferred the Southern Tier. The burger was decent but pretty plain. I might want to try something else on their menu besides the classic burger before I write off their food. Their beer selection was pretty good, so I would definitely want to come back here for a beer or two.

    Takeout for NYE!

I love all the JL Beers locations. What I like most about this 32 Ave S location is the ease of getting here, especially for someone like me who lives in South Fargo. This is especially handy with take out orders. I've done more take out here than I've actually gone in and sat down. The prices are so good for food this tasty. Our take out order from the weekend included 3 burgers (one of them was a double patty) and an order each of the chips and fries - and it came to about $20. Speaking of chips, they are outstanding. I would almost always take the chips over the fries, especially if ordering take out (the fries get soggy on the drive home). Not saying I don't get the fries on occasion, but those chips are good. And they give you so much!

The Humpty Dumpty with Buffalo Blu chips

Ok... for a dude who travels all the time, my host told me I HAD to come in and get a Humpty Dumpty (pictured). It's a burger with American Cheese and a fried egg. I decided to add jalapeños, grilled onions and tomato. As a side, I through the Buffalo Blue chips in for the fun. I drank the Brain Wash IPA and then closed with the Vanilla Porter. What a fantastic evening. The staff made me feel right at home. Maybe it's the small town-ness, maybe it's the beer but I ended up having a great conversation with the two waitresses and then a local who comes in every evening after work. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I would come back again any time I am in need of a great burger and some goodness. I recommend this place if you ever on the hunt for some good people and some great chow. Nothing that will blow your mind but it will definitely hit the spot. Thanks for the great close to a great trip

By far the best burgers in Fargo. Extensive list of beers on tap, from local to commercial choices. College town feel meets local favorite. Spiral cut potato chips are house made, and perfectly seasoned. Entire building is spotless, bathrooms are pristine. Perfect place for a casual date night, boys night out, or first date. Don't miss it!

Raging Cajun burger with Cajun seasoned chips!

Burgers here are amazing! And the chips are awesome too! You can add seasoning to the chips as well. Even the vegetarian Black Bean burger. Must try the raging Cajun burger and add an fried egg. Delicious!! Service is always great. Friendly and fast but doesn't make you feel rushed.

The menu has the usual pub fare - wings, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. But on Saturdays and Sundays from 9-1, the menu expands to things like omelets, hash, Benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. So, when our Friday night hotel bartender recommended Lucky's for breakfast, well, we knew where we'd be headed. The breakfast service we encountered on Saturday was extraordinary, so hats off to our server Beth. Our party of ten walked in when breakfast opened, and she quickly set up a few long tables for our group. Oh, and she set out two coloring activities and crayons for the two young guests in our group. Our breakfast started with complimentary bowls of popcorn and we saw some very interesting eye openers on the menu, like a Breakfast Punch (with Rum, orange and pineapple juice, strawberry purée, and ginger ale), a Lucky's Blueberry Pancake Shooter (with Stoli Blueberry vodka, Butterscotch, Orange Bacardi, and a slice of bacon) and a Keoki Coffee (with Kahlua, Baileys Irish Cream, coffee and whipped cream). We passed on these alcoholic temptations; Beth took our orders flawlessly and the food started rolling out of the kitchen in no time. We started off with a order of Beignets for the table ($9.99) - "Deep-fried beignets made with croissant dough, topped with powdered sugar & a side of strawberry jam. I tried one and it was very good -piping hot, light as a feather, but surprisingly not greasy. My wife ordered a Ham and Cheese Omelet ($13.99 served with her choice of toast and a side of fresh fruit, home fries or cheesy baked hash browns. It was a generous portion and the fruit cup she ordered was fresh and tasty. My Cajun Hash ($15.49 with Andouille disks, shredded chicken, two big shrimp, peppers, onions, cheesy hash, & scrambled eggs) was one of the best breakfasts I've had all year. It was a gigantic portion, and I was more than full with half of it. Beth was automatic with the coffee refills, was very sweet dealing with the two children in our party and gladly gave our couples separate checks. One very cool thing we saw was a "Treasure chest" full of children's toys, coloring books, and activities as freebies for the little darlings that visit. These weren't junky dollar store toys, but some nice stuff. We could not have been happier with our breakfast at Lucky's 13.

Can't recall what it was called but man we could've spent hours in that section. We did a little shopping, tried some other beers that weren't available in the taproom (more sours!!!) and grabbed some food to snack on as we walked. My husband was a big fan of the oysters - who would've thought? Having the hotel attached as well was genius. Next time we're in town, we're staying there!
