Honey and I came in to try the 7.99 Lucy burger special. Sports restaurant, college football playing. Was seated quickly and was able to give drink order and food order in at once. Server was friendly as well as the seating host. The food was great the only thing I didn't care for was the service charge My tab was 25.14 for two 7.99 specials two beverages. Each were 2.99 each. My husband asked for ranch for his fries and were charged . 75 and then we had a service charge of .68. Service charge? I gave a tip of 4.50 and tax 1.75 bringing the amount paid to 29.64. I noticed there was a cash discount of . 75. However I paid with a card. Is the service charge due to the credit fee ? Overall we enjoyed our lunch. I will give you a 2 because the food was pretty good. We were on our way back from a fishing trip in Winnipeg. We opted to place a to-go order and called ahead. I was pulling a small trailer and pulled in and yes I took up 3 spots but we were leaving immediately. While waiting the manager comes out and starts tearing into us about taking up 3 spots while almost the entire parking lot was empty. He made me pull out and leave and my wife had to walk in sub-zero weather way out into another parking lot. He was completely rude to us after we just spent $70 on a carryout order. The food was ok but there is no way we would ever go to this restaurant again after the way this guy talked to us. I said I will let the manger know how you talked to us. He said I am the manager. We had a great experience both times we visited the Crooked Pint while in Fargo, both times being for lunch and dinner on the same day! We liked it so much we decided to come back! Lunch was lighter fare for me: I had the bourbon cranberry chicken salad, and everything about it was great! The chicken was cooked well and with good portion, the dressing had good flavor, the rest of the salad toppings were portioned well and complimented each other, and the greens were fresh! I normally don't love salads that much, but this one was pretty great--would order again! Once the day was finished, we decided to come back and grab some burgers and wings, and they did not disappoint! I recommend the bourbon molasses sauce on the traditional wings--they're pretty big wings and sauced perfectly! We also grabbed the giant pretzel and the poutine! The beer cheese was good but a little thick, and the poutine had a great flavor but could've had more gravy on top! But hey, if the only complaint is wanting more of the food, then you've got yourself a hidden gem, which is what Crooked Pint feels like tacked right beside a hotel! Great place for comfort pub food. We were traveling with our pup so we needed a place where we could eat outside. They have a great patio and we're super accommodating to serving us, even though we were the only ones sitting outdoors. We ordered the hot tot, Mac n cheese, and gigantic pretzel. Since we are vegetarians, we ordered emerging without the beef and it was still delicious. And when they say "gigantic pretzel", they really mean it! It was perfectly cooked. If I was to criticize anything it would be the cheese sauce for the pretzel... it was a hard cheese, instead of the hot and gooey cheese you normally expect for pretzels. Still really good, though. Shout out to Austin who was a fantastic server. Great sense of humor, super helpful, and prompt service.... Can't ask for anything better. read more

I've eaten at CP at least a half dozen times with each instance being a pleasant experience and great food. Last time, a few minutes after sitting down one of the servers sneezed all over the ice behind the bar and then continued as though nothing happened. I'm not one of these covid psychos who wears a mask alone in my car but that grossed me out so much that I couldn't bring myself to stay. We wanted burgers and Crooked Pint has awesome "Juicy Lucy" burgers. What they don't have is great service. If you look at the attached screenshot, you will see that the burgers are served with fries OR seasonal side salad. So, my family picked the seasonal side salad, assuming it was included, similar to fries. To our surprise we were billed $3.00 for each salad. When we pointed out the language, the server indicated that "it's not worded very well." Not an acceptable excuse. This review is to serve as a warning to others. Traveling in Fargo and found this little gem. Great atmosphere as I came in at 10 pm on a Tuesday night. They had a local double IPA from Drekker that tickled my fancy. I tried the "beer cheese" Lucy (I'm from WA and I did not know what a Lucy was lol...it's a stuffed burger patty!) and was very impressed. Gobs of cheese, fried onions, bacon and a very soft pretzel bun were delicious. The burger was cooked medium/ medium well which is absolutely perfect. Great service and music. All I can say is WOW!!! Had the Prime Rib French Dip and it was beyond expectations! Juicy and not fatty at all. The French roll is lightly toasted so it's still soft on the outside but toasted and crunchy on the inside. The bread doesn't get soggy this way. I asked for the fries well done and they were crispy and tasty. My husband had a burger with blue cheese inside of it (can't recall the name). He enjoyed it very much. The servings are plentiful and we were quite full when done so we didn't partake of the desserts. Our server (Syed) was absolutely fabulous! He was attentive and our drinks were always full. Went back to Crooked Punt recently to see if anything had changed in the year since we were last there. Answer: not much. We ordered the Queso appetizer and when it came out, we were surprised by the tiny portion and handful of chips. Also, somehow the queso was hot in one part of the skillet and barely above room temperature in the other part. Our bartender seemed grumpy, and after awhile, I saw why. Long blonde-haired manager was functioning as bar back and working at a very leisurely pace, and drinking behind the bar, but bartender was swamped. We waited too long for refills on pop, and my beer sat empty for quite some time. Beers are small, and everything on the menu is overpriced. Our first time here wasn't stellar. Boy am I glad we gave them a second chance today! The service was attentive from when we first walked in the door. The manager and wait staff were helping seat so people weren't waiting to be seated. We started with the poutine. A different choice to have fried cheese curds, but still yummy! Then we split the taco brunch plate. Those tacos are huge and had great flavor. They have a great beer selection and our server made sure we we never had an empty cup. We'll definatly be back. Throughout the Covid 19 pandemic, this place has taken employee and customer safety seriously. Each table has it's own bottle of sanitizer, disposable menus, socially distanced seating and staff masked. While we've found the food to be consistently good we're big fans of the Stars and Stripes burger, the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and the dry rub wings (this seasoning is also amazing in their french fries. Speaking of fries, if you ask for extra crispy - that's what you'll get! Perfectly crispy fries! We're loyal to the business and the staff - we've become regulars and are always treated well. Stopped here for the first time last weekend. My friend shared a Cuban sandwich with me and we had a few beers. We got seated right away, served right away, and our waiter was very friendly and fun. They even split our meal between 2 plates for us! Our only concern was little to no mustard/sauce on our sandwich. We mentioned it to our waiter and he brought out more for us right away. I have had 5 star service from this place before but my service was beyond horrible this last week. The server kept talking to me about his sidework- that was inappropriate and has never happened to me anywhere before. They forgot the Asian sauce for my tacos, my server was no where to be found, I asked another server and instead of getting me my sauce (which would be so easy) they had to grab the manager so I could ask him for the sauce (wtf). When we were done eating once again my server was no where to be found, after 5-10 minutes we asked another server for our bill and finally our original server showed up with our bill and a comment of "my coworkers said you don't seem happy with us" well, yeah, I'm not happy, I paid for food not to be treated like an inconvenience.
