    We were on the fence about hiring a wedding planner but decided to do it since we are not living in the Bay Area. We wanted someone experienced in planning Asian-American weddings and someone with who we vibed with. Hiring Justina was one of the best choices we made, especially as the wedding day got closer and things got more hectic. Having her and her team plan, coordinate, and manage the vendors decreased the overall workload and stress on us. Justina turned our vision into reality while keeping everything realistic and feasible to our budget. She communicated promptly, provided excellent vendor options, and helped tackle any concerns, questions, or issues we had, which ensured everything was smooth leading up to the wedding and on the day of. It was nice that we could just fly in for our wedding and know that Justina and her had everything under control. We wholeheartedly recommend Justina and her team to help plan your special day.

    We're so happy we hired Justina & JL Events. We booked the Intimate Package to have Justina help with day of & she helped with so much more. I'm a very organized & detailed person but knew I needed someone who understood wedding timelines and ALL THE DETAILS -- so happy Justina was by our side. BEFORE: * When we booked Justina about a year in advanced, she shared a Google Drive with to-do lists & more to keep us on track & organized. * 2 months prior, we did a video call to go through the vendors, contracts, to-lists, vision. And did about 2 more final calls leading up to the wedding. After every conversation with Justina, we felt like a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She got our vendors together, reached out to those missing insurances, shared the timeline, etc etc. * There were many things we didn't know regarding marriage certificates, what to incorporate or not in a timeline, contract review, and many more details. Having Justina on our team was a breath of fresh air. * Venue walkthrough & rehearsals - Justina helped us & our wedding party get in order and set up for walking down the aisle. WEDDING DAY: * True emotional support, with Justina - we were able to 100% be with our friends and family and everything went smoothly. * The team made sure we ate, gifts + cards were safely collected, everything flowed with the timeline, all our vendors worked as a one team mentality, and so much more. * Did I mention we had 230 guests, a huge family, did table visits, got family photos with everyone, AND still had time to be with our guests, enjoy every moment, and more?     If you are getting married or holding any kind of event and need a planner, Justina of JL events is the one for you! When I started wedding planning, I knew I would need a day of coordinator and I interviewed her and one other person, I instantly felt comfortable talking to her on the phone. She's super nice and personable! We opted for day of coordinator because we knew from previous friends weddings that venue coordinators leave after a certain time but paying for someone outside of the venue makes sure everything runs smoothly til the end. On the day of our wedding, Justina was amazing she was putting out small fires everywhere. From the Dj to the boba bar being prematurely announced as being open. She also made sure the day before we had a rehearsal and that we knew how we were walking in and how my mom would hand me off to my then fiancé. She's not just a planner/coordinator she becomes someone you trust and will be able to confide in. We are truly grateful for all her hard work for our wedding! If we ever have any events in the future like a Baby shower or any party planning needs, we will 100 percent hire Justina again! Also she moonlights as undercover photographer, it was such a nice surprise that she also helped us take a couple photos throughout our wedding for the setup to us doing the first dance , ceremony and cake cutting!

    Justina was our wedding planner for our wedding this past March (pre-covid lockdown, phew). And boy, did she make a world of difference! She is so meticulous and really helped to organize things we hadn't even thought of! When someone tells you you don't need a wedding planner, I can safely say they're probably wrong. With Justina by our sides, our wedding planning was relatively stress free. She was available at all times and answered all my silly questions without making me feel uncomfortable. She gave input anytime I was unsure about something, which happened often. On the day of our wedding, we barely had any hiccups and if we did, Justina was there to iron them out before we even knew there was an issue! She worked well with all our vendors and my bridal party. She truly made a difference in how smooth our wedding went. We hired her as well for her wedding styling. She did a great job!     We hired Justina for her partial planning services and she was a joy to work with. We found her through Instagram and turns out she was actually on our venue's preferred vendors list! We had an intro meeting and she suggested that we select partial planning services as we had already chosen our venue at the time, yet she was still very attentive and responsive throughout the planning process and did a great job offering vendor options to consider. Sometimes we work till pretty late, and it was great that Justina offered late meetings. Just keep in mind that like many planners/vendors, she has many events on the weekends and she won't be replying to emails per her official office hours M-Th, but likely reachable on IG or text if you have an emergency. She definitely went above and beyond to help with our DIY seating chart! The best part though, was that she took so many pictures for us on our wedding day and shared it all with us so we got to enjoy them on our honeymoon and during the agonizing wait for our official pictures to come back! She made sure our day went smoothly and was great at communicating with the vendors before, during, and after the wedding. Would recommend her to couples!! You definitely do not want to do the whole planning and coordinating thing alone...

    Words cannot describe how grateful I am for Justina and her wonderful team for making my wedding day as special and as seamless as possible! Having a very busy schedule made it extremely difficult for me to plan my wedding. But all my wedding planning anxiety went away after hiring Justina. My husband and I picked the full service planning and let me tell you.... IT WAS SO WORTH IT! Justina made everything as easy as possible and was very organized and professional throughout the past year that I worked with her. She made sure we got each task done in a timely manner and always followed up on each vendor so nothing slipped out of the cracks.     Justina and her team are really great at what they do. I booked Muong as my day-of-coordinator because Justina was already booked for another wedding that same day. I was hesitant at first, but Justina reassured me that she would be with me every step of the way, and that Muong along with 2-3 other assistants would execute day of. With more than enough hands on deck, I trusted them completely and needless to say Justina, Muong and the girls were AMAZING!!! Communication is key, and with them it was always easy and immediate. I am so happy and impressed with how my wedding turned out. They made sure my vision came to life, allowing me and my bridal party to truly enjoy the day. The team took care of the set up and clean up. They made sure my husband and I had something to eat and something to drink at all times. They ensured our vendors got fed and paid at end of night. They helped with all the envelopes my husband and I received during reception. They kept the pace going, because table visits can be hard to get through. Overall, I appreciate these girls SO MUCH! They made the entire process leading up to my wedding and day-of-execution stress free. They know what they are doing, it really wouldn't have been a success without Justina, Muong and the girls.     We worked with Justina who was our "day of coordinator" during our recent wedding at the Los Altos History Museum. My partner and I got engaged well over a year ago, and I reached out to Justina pretty early on. I did majority of the wedding planning but I realized I needed a day of coordinator so we chose the "Intimate" package. We met with Justina and felt it was a really good fit. The month prior to the wedding Justina really started working and she was always on top of everything! She is very organized, and whenever I had questions or concerns she was very responsive and prompt despite her being quite busy herself. The day of the wedding went pretty smoothly (if not, Justina did a good job of hiding it). She had contacted all our vendors and not once did we feel super stressed out or worried. She kept the flow going. And most of all our guests all seemed to have a great time since our wedding had such a relaxed feel. So kudos to Justina and her team. I 100% would recommend her to anyone asking for a wedding coordinator, her work is exemplary and we really could not have done it without her.

    I first came across JL Events by Justina on Instagram and instantly fell in love with her feed filled with her party planning aesthetics. For me, party planning can be stressful and sometimes hard to enjoy when you are planning your own party. I'm a HUGE birthday person so I knew I had to do it BIG but also STRESS-FREE for my 25th birthday. That's when I knew I had to work with Justina! Justina and her team were amazing to work with! From our first phone call to the party itself, she made sure it such an smooth and easy process for me. I wanted a tropical theme for my birthday and sent her Pinterest ideas of what came to my mind and her team went way past my expectations! Justina is so creative and her communication is exceptional. When I arrived at my party and saw my vision come to life, I was over the moon! She made sure everything was perfect for my guests and kept checking in. It was all thanks to her that my loved ones enjoyed themselves and I had the best birthday yet! I recommend her for all your party planning needs. Thank you Justina & JL Events team!     Justina did a fantastic job running our December wedding! Our event was small and had around 40 guests. Even though this was a "small" wedding, it could not have run well without a planner/coordinator. I highly recommend to hire experts like JL Events to manage your event so that you're stress free on your special day. With events and weddings, it requires a project manager of sorts to lead the way and Justina fit that to a T. She communicated with all of our vendors promptly, giving them gentle reminders for follow-up, and was a courteous liaison for everyone involved. We spoke to a few coordinators and planners but Justina had the right energy that we needed for the wedding. She is highly organized, communicative and had so many great solutions and ideas for things my husband and I hadn't even thought of. She also provided an inventory list of decor we could use for our event which was a fantastic resource - especially when we didn't have a huge budget for this. Justina was also super nimble when we had to pivot after our first venue fell through. We had a back up in place and during our walk-through she really set us all at ease because we knew she had everything under control. On the day of the event, Justina and her assistant really went above and beyond. They set up decorations, guided guests and vendors, and made sure the flow was as smooth as possible. My husband and I are introverts and we settled with the idea that we probably wouldn't have a place to recharge, especially since our backup venue was smaller now. But Justina saved the day by whisking us away into a private space for just us to celebrate alone! Incredibly considerate and a thoughtful way to anticipate our needs. We also really appreciated that Justina took photos of event details (party favors, signs, place settings, decor, photos of the ceremony, etc). It was a nice surprise because we knew we'd be waiting a few weeks for our professional photos to be ready! If any of my friends, relatives or coworkers get married, I would definitely recommend JL Events over and over again.

My wedding day wouldn't have been a success without their help! A while back, my friend told me that she used One Plus One Wedding Services (OPOWS) for her wedding in 2019. She had good things to say about them. My SIL's friend also used OPOWS, so I figured that if a few of my mutual connections have used this vendor, then I should work with them as well. Since I didn't have a wedding planner, going with a one-stop shop wedding services package was definitely a big help. It made my wedding execution seamless! I reached out to OPOWs about a year before my wedding date. Aggie is the main person who runs OPOWS. Aggie was super responsive with our conversations. She informed me about the wedding service package options. I decided to go with the Plus Package option which includes: photographer, videographer, wedding dresses (which I didn't use), Emcee, DJ (I gave the DJ our custom playlist since my husband and I wanted to pick our songs), hair and make-up artist, reception decorations, and chair covers. We scheduled to meet a few times before my wedding. Aggie was super helpful with providing recommendations and tips. I could tell that she really cares about her clients and wants to leave a good impression. Nearing my wedding date, she provided me with a run down schedule so that I could coordinate with her team and the external vendors that she partnered with. We made sure that my wedding day itinerary made sense. On the day of my wedding, I met most of my vendors in person. I was definitely stressed out because I always have this fear that something will go wrong. But to my surprise, all of my vendors did an excellent job on my wedding day. I could tell that they really enjoyed their job and tried to help me make the most out of my wedding day. Throughout the wedding and after the wedding, I received so many compliments from my guests in regards to the wedding decorations, the vendors we used, and etc. I made sure to advertise OPOWS to my guests in case they want to work with a one-stop shop vendor haha. Thank you again Aggie and team! My wedding day was very memorable and filled with happy memories! NOTE: If you're Chinese and can speak some Cantonese, this would make communicating a lot easier. Aggie, her team, and the external vendors that she works with are Chinese. There was a slight language barrier when communicating with Aggie and the external vendors since my Chinese isn't that great haha. But overall, we were able to communicate and get through the wedding planning!

    One Plus One did an amazing job planning and executing our wedding! We booked the highest package…read moresince I was really interested in a package that included engagement photos and OPO had the most competitive prices. We paid extra for our photographer (Tang) and my MUA (Hera) was amazing. Hera was my main point of contact regarding any upgrades, questions, or changes to our package. While Hera was on vacation, I worked with Aggie to discuss and finalize the decorations of the venue. I picked out my potential dresses months in advance and Hera put them on hold for me as another bride was interested in one of the dresses I picked out. The MC and DJ were assigned a month before the actual wedding to discuss a song list and anything the MC needed to confirm and know in advance. Our MC was Jason and he was very lively and made the night more fun with his enthusiasm. The entire team was very patient and worked with me throughout the whole planning process as I had many questions and requests. I'm really glad I booked OPO because I didn't need to deal with additional vendors and could focus on what I really wanted for my wedding that OPO didn't cover. Everything came out amazing and I would highly highly recommend their service for anyone debating on booking a package for their wedding.
