Mr. Moran asked specific questions, then had me take some quick photos of the electrical box in the basement. He explained what he thought it was and was at the house in a few hours to get a better idea of what was wrong. He fixed what he could and diagnosed what needed to be fixed at a later date with a second pair of hands. He returned a few days later and corrected the problem in a manner of minutes with minimal disruptions to a house filled with cats and dogs. He and his staff are true professionals. We contacted Julio when the outlet serving the microwave stopped working. He recommended we add additional circuit breakers and cable runs to separate out the appliances. He performed the work; however, several months later, the original problem resurfaced along with our exterior light not working. He identified that the original issue that caused the microwave to stop working was a lose wire connection on the electrical receptacle. I felt that Julio did not adequately evaluate the initial issue and instead recommended expensive repairs and upgrades which did not fix or address the issue. Furthermore, Julio did not separate the circuits as originally agreed upon since we found out later that the exterior light was on the same circuit as appliances. Julio insisted that we pay for the second visit to correct the original issue. Julio also posted pictures of my property without my permission on his Yelp page. He downloaded these pictures from my Zillow listing. Furthermore, the pictures he posted on his Yelp page do not even capture the work that he performed at my property. I would not recommend JM & Sons or Julio. read more

Julio knows his trade, he is professional and honest. i explained over the phone no power at outlets in kitchen even after checking breaker box and a couple gfci. This is at my rental property, he gave my tenant instructions over the telephone and my tenant "fixed it!" Julio charged us nothing for spending time giving instructions over the phone with me and my tenant. He responded quickly after I left a message with my info and electrical issues on his business phone. I called a few other companies before this and have already scheduled another company to come over later. This company is charging me $190 even after I explained the problem. Julio said that is not right, he said I'm sure it's the gfci in the other panel. He helped my tenant to troubleshoot over the phone, he did not charge me and therefore I cancelled the schedule with other company and I have saved $190. Julio is honest, fair and will not take advantage of the situation. Kitchen outlets are working and my tenant is happy, I am very happy. The power went out in half of my house, including the AC on a stifling summer day. This was on a Friday and I was having company that weekend. I called several electricians and Julio was the only one to return my call, not once but twice! He ran me through some simple self-diagnostic procedures to see if the problem was with the inside or outside wiring. If it was inside the house he said that he offers 24-hour service. The problem turned out to be outside, which the power company quickly fixed. Julio called back a third time to check on the status. Thanks to his superb customer service and excellent communications I had power back to normal that evening, in time for weekend guests, all at no cost to me. The work is industry standard quality. They arrived on time as scheduled. However, I thought the prices were very high. Also, one of the workers would not wear a mask in our home although we were wearing masks and have a sign on our front door asking our guests to wear masks. These workers have bills to pay too. Not paying his workers is unacceptable in my book. Integrity and fairness to all is my motto and I will not support a business that does not pay their employees timely. I called JM & Sons on behalf of an elderly neighbor who had lost power due to a short in his panel. Julio met me an hour later to inspect and found the panel had been destroyed by a small fire. He returned the next day (on a weekend) and replaced the entire box and all breakers for a very reasonable fee. This company is totally professional. JM & Sons did some electrical work for me, very clean, very pleasant to talk to, the work was done in a timely manner and professionally. I have already told the owner that I plan on hiring him again in the future for other work to be done around my house. When installing an item for me, he noticed that other electrician's had left some wires loose and was surprised my house had not caught on fire. Instead of leaving the wires as they were, he fixed them on the spot. I have had other electricians that did a half ... job, didn't say a word of the other wires and just left them as they were. Not Julio, he fixed them instead of leaving the wires the way they were so that my house would not catch on fire. I will definitely call him back again for future work. I have given out business cards to friends, which I won't do for people that are not professional. Also, Julio will explain things to you, and sometimes makes jokes while talking to you, which I love. Julio is a people person, he is not like other contractors I have dealt with.
