Came across this bakery via Instagram then checking on Yelp. The many cake designs were amazing. I needed a cake for an upcoming celebration and went here to see what they could do. In addition to baking cakes they have a selection of teas/bubble teas/slushes and other fun and tasty desserts. Service is with a smile. As for the cake I ordered they were able to accommodate me after I chose one of their prior creations. It took about a week for them to complete which is understandable. Seating is comfortable but not Starbucks accommodations. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I know I will be back.

Lately, I've been trying to cut back on sugar and sweets, but it appears that my sister hasn't gotten the memo, as day after day, time and time again, she puts my self-control to the test. Just the other day, she brought home the cutest drinks and desserts, and of course, I caved in and ate to my heart's content. * Taro Milk Tea with Tapioca 香芋奶茶加珍珠 $6.50 * Coconut Milk Tea with Tapioca 椰香奶茶加珍珠 $6.50 * Black Milk Tea with Tapioca 原味奶茶加珍珠 $6.50 My dad, my mom, and I each drank a milk tea respectively, and we thought the drinks were quite good, albeit nothing special. I did, however, appreciate the fact that the drinks weren't too sweet. * Sleeping Bear Mousse 睡熊小慕斯 $8.95 * Drooling Pig Mousse 口水猪小慕斯 $8.95 Honestly, the cutest desserts ever. I felt really bad eating it, but my dad didn't seem to share the same concern for he just lopped the head right off. I've had the same bear mousse elsewhere before (at ridiculous pricing), and this was far tastier. The mousse was smooth and creamy and the strawberry and mango flavors really shone through.

Ordered a custom Elmo cake for our 2 year old birthday party. It came out exactly how we envisioned it and it tasted amazing! The cream and fruit (strawberry) cake was delicious and suitable for both adults and children. I highly recommend and will definitely come back for more future custom cakes!

I usually always get their drinks and desserts and decided to try out the cakes. I Don't regret it, it was a delicious cake and it was exactly what I envisioned. The packaging was also great and their customer service I will definitely be ordering more cakes for the future. Its a lovely place.

So it seems like the cakes are the thing here as their desserts are just okay. We got a bunch to try like their sleeping mousse bear which was not good, but very cute to look at and satisfying to use their bear spoon to eat the bear, crème brûlée (not a good crust and the inside wasn't soft), durian and vanilla combo, one of their puddings, and the only thing that I enjoyed was the mango pomelo with ice cream. Interior wise it's very cute with figurines along the walls and a few tables to sit.

horrible service! i waited to be serviced. behind a lady for 7 mini cakes, which was fine. i said im here to order a cake and buy a pudding. cashier forgets to give me the pudding. then takes the customer behind me with a stroller to order a cake. the boss? My friend and I was looking the neighborhood and wanted some dessert. Saw really good reviews but seems like majority of the reviews are about their cakes. When we walked in no one greeted us and the place was empty.. Even when I was at the register ready to order I had to wait. The lack of customer service would be the reason I wouldn't want to come back again. Lots of seating was available. However, there is no bathroom available for customers. Ordered the Mango pomelo sago with vanilla ice cream and it was alright.

Recently got not 1 but 2 cakes from JM boutique for special occasions! We got the first cake for my moms 60th birthday and the cake was reallly nice! The looks of the cake is worth the money already. The cake itself was tasty- was it the best tasting cake? I've prob had better but overall look and taste wrapped up our night nicely. The next cake was for my daughters 100 days. I got a two tier cake- 6 and 8 inch. The looks again was 100%! Everyone at the celebration really liked the cake and some asked where it was from! Got good compliments about the taste of the cake as well! One thing about the tiered cake though was that it looks a lot bigger in pictures! In person the cake was a tad smaller than I expected but it fed all the attendees just fine. JM Boutique does really nice customized cakes for all occasions. I got to work with the owner or the baker himself and it was an easy process! We went in knowing what we wanted so it didn't take long to place the orders! While the prices of the cakes are pretty pricey, the final product looks so good that we feel it was worth it.

I did a last minute cake order for my boyfriends birthday from this bakery, only ONE day before and they did such an amazing job!! She walked me through the ideas/concept for the cake and kept in contact throughout the entire thing. The effort they put in to make it was over the top. This was my first time getting a cake from JM cake boutique and it was so delicious. I'd definitely go back in the future. I got a two-layer cake - vanilla flavored cake and with a layer of fresh fruit on top and a layer of fresh fruit & red bean on the bottom. The cake itself is moist but still so fluffy. It tasted like a lighter version of pound cake. The fruits are all fresh and there was a lot of red bean inside. My favorite part is the frosting! Usually I scrape off frosting because it's too sweet but this frosting was buttery and not too sweet. I had a design picked out and the cake looks exactly like what I had envisioned. The store is also able to work with you to create designs. The store is communicative and great to work with. Everyone at the wedding loved the cake. It not only looked beautiful but tasted great as well. read more

I went a few days before I needed the cake and I'm grateful they were able to accommodate the order. I wanted a simple fruit cake with frosting on the side and this option seemed fitting. Review is solely for the custom cakes: Very happy to have a local dessert shop in the area that make such beautiful and tasty customized cakes! My family and I ordered a fresh fruit cream cake twice and both times, the cakes did not disappoint. Not only were the cakes gorgeous but they were delicious. The cakes were not overly sweet which, is perfect for someone without a sweet tooth. The sponge cake was moist and the cream was buttery. Communication can be done through phone call and/or text. We communicated mainly through text and the contact person was easy to talk to and very responsive. We showed a photo of how we would like the cake to look like with minor changes and the cake came out exactly as expected. The cakes were ready within a reasonable amount of time, one week or less (could be because the cakes were ordered during a pandemic). Overall, we are very happy with the experience and satisfy with the cakes; will return for future cake orders. read more

I placed an order on Oct 15th (10 days from the date of pickup) for a customized fruit cake. Ordering was very easy. Communication was mostly done through text, she was very nice, patient with me, answered all my questions and gave me alternatives if there was a request she couldn't accommodate. Since I had placed my order so early, I was contacted 3 days later to finalize my order. The cake is beyond my expectations and worth the price. The bubble tea/ milk tea is the worst I've ever had, Thai iced tea tasted like powdered milk water. I would take it off the menu. I reached out to Crystal after tasting one of her cakes at a baby's birthday party and liking the flavor. We had a specific theme in mind for a friend's baby shower (llamas) but also really liked the unicorn decorated cakes on her website. Crystal was able to find a special llama cake topping AND make the design work! We did strawberry fruit cream filling which was fresh (not mushy), and the sponge cake was subtly sweet and soooooo fluffy! She and JM Cake Boutique are now my go-to for all cakes! They were very patient when we were trying to pick our design and very accommodating as well. When we picked up the cake it looked great as seen in the photo. We ordered the lychee mousse cake and it was fragrant and not too sweet. They also have other types of cakes as well, not only mousse. The ladies helping me with ordering the cake and offering me suggestions were nice and helpful. Very patient and sweet people. Thank you for the cake. My family loved the design and it taste good too. Birthday girl agreed that it is a beautiful cake made with great effort. We also ordered another lychee mousse cake (not pictured) and that one tasted really good as well. Also, my dog approved of the lychee cake because she took a big bite out of the side of the cake before I can take a picture. Nevertheless, we would definitely buy cakes from here again. read more

I ordered a double layer cake for my mom's birthday, and let me tell you.... it was beautiful! They were so helpful in choosing the perfect cake. They showed me pictures of different styles and gave me suggestions as well. I got the glazed mango mousse cake, the inside had a layer of mango fruit, one layer of cake and mousse in between. We were looking for a fountain cake a week ago for our bsbyshower, the places that we liked they said they got a lot of orders and wouldn't be able to make the cake in a week. Then luckily we found this place! The staff was very nice and they went into details of how we wanted the cake. We happened to meet the chef and he also made good suggestions to us. We kind of designed our cake based on their existing design and the chef only made it richer and of course it absolutely exceeded my expectations! We got a lot of compliments from our family and this mousse cake tasted really good too! Will definitely recommend this place! read more

This is one of our favorite hang out spots (dessert wise, Starbucks doesn't count). They keep it simple - consistency. The desserts always comes out just right (not overly sweet). Prices are fair, portions are generous. Easy to find parkings in front at night. I would highly recommend their cakes. I've ordered several cakes from them so far. Not only they look so pretty, they are the best mousse cakes I've ever had. (And I've had countless cakes over the last decade). My kid asked for strawberry ice cream. That's like the only thing they don't have. But they made it up with vanilla + bunch of fresh strawberries on the side. Everyone's happy, the end. read more

Desserts 18 is a very nice place to chill after a busy day. I always come here to hangout with friends, cuz i love there cakes, and they have wonderful sense on decoration. Desserts 18 also has tasty drinks,Some new drinks just put up on menu recently. They have Mojito(non-alcohol), the house special the"Mix fruit Tea" , the second pic. I heard the cake is really good but I decided to try their shave ice and other desserts first through Uber eat since I was craving desserts. I ordered the Durian with the milk grass jelly and the taro shaved ice with popping Boba and vanilla ice cream. The shave ice was okay-ish, a bit blend, but the durian with the milk jelly was good. Overall, they got good portion-wise. However, I'm uncertain how the uber eat policy currently works, but my instructions are pretty clear, " Please text or call when arrive". There was no incoming call or notification that the order was outside. Thank goodness I spot the delivery guy through my window. The delivery person hands me the desserts and then said to take a picture of me holding on to the package. It was a weird experience because it never happens to me before with my previous orders through Uber eat, so it was a bit suspicious. I would go there to personally experience the other desserts there the next time instead of Uber eat. read more

I order three drink coconut bubble tea, pineapple bubble black tea, and specifically request bubble green tea no milk. I got no bubble(tapioca) in pineapple and green tea. Ask the cashier why only coconut drink has bubble mention we don't have it anymore. What kind of business charge customer and make him wait 10 min before told there no product. A horrible experience does not recommend to visit this store. Don't sell drinks if you don't have the ingredient. read more
