Do Not trust or take your car for repairs to JMS Auto Repairs. They Do Not provide Quality service and they are NOT CERTIFED TRAINED MECHANICS, they take short cuts to cheat the customer with fast sloppy unskilled service; and in my case done major damage to my front drivetrain while doing a simple front brake type job. Frank took a Powerfull Impact Hammer Wrench to my front axle connection, hammered it for more then 15 minutes, and damaging the front drivetrain to the point that the axle was Distored at the Connection To Transmission and at Rotor Assembly.,.. his experiance must from a Mexico junk yard demolation - rather then being at a certifed proper mechanic training ; the axle was damaged & distorted causing the car to vibrate while driving. The new part he was to install even had a instruction sheet available stating not to apply a power torque wrench to the front end part he took apart -- in fact it was not necessary at all to take apart the axle from the rotor in doing the job he was told to to--- Frank does not know the correct way to do important auto repairs. I spoke to Jeff about the damage they caused after driving the car with shakey viberation and damaged ride - but he could not care -.. he got my money & the customer got screwed. If the option was there is would be a -1 star They are not honest, they worked on my motorcycle. Jeff said he would use OEM parts, He did Not. he decided without consulting me to rebuild the alternator But i requested a new OEM one Back breaks not working after his work. they would auto apply and stick. He said he rebuilt the master cylinder an caliper- and he did not. After tearing the bike apart i found that it was the original master and not rebuilt. and according to the book it recommends not rebuilding but replacing. and he also said he could not find the parts and after a short web search i did find them online all new with multiple sources with ranging prices. So i have to say i am not happy with his Service and his dishonest behavior when trying to remedy the situation. -Would not recommend to Anyone- read more

I literally just had the best auto mechanic experience in my life. I had taken my car to the dealership for a recall and, of course, they found $1,800 worth of repairs that needed to happen - much were due to the age of the car, not the miles. I took the car to Jeff for a second opinion. Not only was he highly responsive, he actually called me into the shop while the car was on the lift to give me his team's diagnosis. He gave me confidence they were honest and we took care of all the necessary repairs that day. In the end, I saved $900 and they earned a new customer. I'll be bringing both of our cars to his shop for any future repairs. December the 4th of 2014, I had all NEW rotors, pads and REAR CALIPERS replaced (due to "freezing") Now, they look like the video I just posted. I understand metal parts rust but this rust appears to be that of the old calipers. Meaning, the old calipers and rotors were never replaced. The reason I brought the vehicle back to JEFF was to fix the issues. The issues it had back in December. Yes! The same thing happened. The calipers "froze" and grinded the pads all the way down the rotor. (See picture and video) You can hear the grinding of metal as you drove and pressed down on the brake pedal. Jeff had my receipt but he "could not find" the receipt proving that he bought and placed new rear calipers, rotors and pads on my vehicle. So he did what he knew he had to do. I was driving on the highway to work when my car started shaking back and forth, wildly. It was shaking so hard that I had to pull over. I called a few mechanics that were local and JMS said they had time to look at my car. I drove over very slowly and they discovered that a bolt was missing from my engine and that's why it was swinging back and forth. They were fast, knowledgeable, courteous, and kind. I had a great experience with Jeff and his crew. They quickly diagnosed the problem in my wife's car, laid out the options of getting it fixed, and LEFT THE DECISION up to me. No pressure to get repairs done. It was my choice. This was great because in the past I've gone to the dealership and they would just "happen to find" something wrong or that I needed to do a "flush" of something in my car. In June 2015 I had JMS Auto Repair look at and service a used car I had just purchased. I expected a number of items to need repair, but it turns out some of them were unneeded. Jeff did not try to sell me work that wasn't needed. The evaluation, diagnosis and repair work was done well, communication was great, and the pricing very fair. The ability to get a hold of Jeff and talk to him directly is a VERY helpful benefit in using JMS. I highly recommend JMS - 5 stars! August 11 update: Jeff (and Dan and Frank) did it again for me. Only 4 days before my daughter had to take the car to Montana, it was involved in a weekend fender-bender. By Tuesday JMS replaced an exterior mirror, painted to the right color, and fixed the dents and scratches beautifully. Jeff and his team made the car look as good as new again. Jeff, the owner is smart, hardworking, and very honest. My husband and I own 3 cars, 2 of them are older, so we love having Jeff and his team just a few blocks away. It is our first stop for any car needs. Before we really knew the shop, my husband would get multiple quotes on any car work that we needed, Jeff always came in the lowest. Now we don't even bother getting other estimates. Twice, we have taken our car to Jeff for major repairs and he has told us to go to the dealer, because the work was covered by a recall. Both times the dealer did the repairs (one of them was completely rebuilding the transmission of our SUV) for free. This is an example of Jeff putting his customers above his profits. Recently, I stopped by to have Jeff help me loosen a bolt on a kids bike to install some training wheels for me because I didn't have the right tool at home. Jeff realized it was a tougher job than I thought and ended up installing the training wheels for me complete with required custom modifications to the bike. I don't think Jeff is getting into the bike mechanic business, but this just shows what a stand-up guy he is. read more

I have never written a review before but I felt I had to write a review after the great service I received from Jeff this morning. I have a '97 BMW with awful cupholders. I had just purchased a huge cup of Starbucks and was driving home and it spilled all over the center console which then caused me to accidently hit my hazards which were then stuck on blinking due to the coffee (yes, it was a rough morning). I called JMS and Jeff shared he had a packed morning but to bring the car in. I took it over and Jeff explained what he needed to do and offered to drive me to my house while they looked at it. I lived close by so walked home, but once home realized I had my keys in my pocket (like I said...rough morning). I called Jeff and he offered to come pick them up on his way dropping off someone else home. An hour later the car was ready to pick up. I appreciated Jeff's help and the fact he was very straight forward and honest and did not try to take advantage of the fact that I am clueless about cars.
