I got them donuts one morning and then ice cold beers on their last day as it was super hot while they worked. My issue was when I discovered weeks later that 1) my water bill was astronomical and 2) upon initial inspection I found a gusher on the side where the French drain was repaired. I called him back out to fix it and later discovered after he left that he probably initially caused the gusher during the repair process which I am guessing turned into a much bigger job than he originally anticipated. He suggested that the whole side yard get re-done and we agreed to a later date as I planned to hire him again because I was satisfied with the first job. Curious after he left, my bf and I went and dug up the side drip system and surprisingly found some janky fix it job with compression fittings, T and elbow adaptors, and barbed drip couplings that were not there prior. In fact I paid a little extra on the original job knowing that the French drain was a pain to fix. I contacted Richar and told him of my discovery and he did not respond to my text but it was marked a read. In fact he arrived and brought out a bag of barbed drip couplings right away which I later put together that he already knew what the job needed before even seeing it because he caused it. Richar: if you would like to make this right with me text me and I would be willing to hear you out and consider taking this review down pending outcome.

In the Summer of 2024, we were ready to begin our 'major' landscaping project. We reached out to…read moreseveral local contractors and decided to hire Orlando due to his professionalism, promptness, collage of work he has done, and very reasonable quotes/estimates. Orlando and his crew started the major project in September 2024, which consisted of an irrigation system, drip system, strategically planting over 100 trees (redwoods, oaks, myrtles, mandarins; ground cover, other outside shrubs/bushes, etc.), an underground cement wall to keep tree roots away from our septic system, decorative ground lights in the front yard, a lot of rock nicely placed around the house for fire determent, etc. He and his crew completed the project ahead of schedule and everything looked better than what we envisioned. From there we have hired Orlando to build a decorative rock wall, a flagstone patio with a fire pit, a rock mailbox, rock boxes around pillars, stepping stones, a fence around our small mandarin orchard, French drains, leveled our garden room, etc. As I'm writing this he and his crew are building a little rock wall and clearing the creek from cattails and weeds. Within the next couple of weeks, he and his crew will be installing a fountain, leveling our courtyard (grading), and fixing a gutter drain to flush underground and away from the house. We are so pleased with his and his crews work, their cleanliness, their ability to stay on schedule, and the "bonus" is that his prices are so reasonable.
