The drive-thru at this location is always very slow. You're better off calling ahead and going in to grab your food; it will be faster every time. The breakfast tacos are always constructed consistently and well. That gives this location a leg up over others that are amazing some visits and mostly egg other visits. But, I always request green sauce with my tacos and get it 25% of the time which is disappointing. I've dined in at this location once and service was fast and friendly. Food was good. Ordered a margarita and was asked frozen or on the rocks. On the rocks means just all the ingredients EXCEPT ice to them. 10 minutes later the waitress comes back and I ask for ice and you would've thought I asked for a dissertation on flying to the moon. The marg tastes burned, literally. Food comes and it was the absolute worst thing I've ever eaten. Ground beef was clumpy and burned and the chicken was dry, apparently leftover from New Year's Eve. The charro beans were so salty Sophie Cunningham would've pointed all night long. The waitress still hasn't comes back to the table and our drinks were empty, except that marg...it was still sitting there. We decide to just go to the register and I tell the employee that I don't want to upset anyone but they need to know that the food was absolute trash. She LAUGHED in my face. It's been some time I was gonna post it sooner, but this June hasn't been the best for me let alone this year alone. This Father's Day I came to this restaurant with my ex-husband's family. The whole entire morning and the night before I was trying to find the courage to even bother to go out due to this being the first Father's Day without my father and recently losing my cousin that died in a fire. However, I finally decided to build the courage to go with them to this restaurant because they said the food there was good also too because my ex-husband said his friend's wife family member is the owner but They never prepared me for how rude the waitress will be. I have stage three kidney disease and fibromyalgia sometimes when I'm sitting down, I tend to have to move my arms up and down quite often included sometimes moving in my seat because me sitting down for periods of times really does bother my body. Well the family was ready to order, & the waitress gave my sister-in-law an ugly look when made eye contact and rolled her eyes. Then the waitress finally decided to come to our table. She had made remark saying that we called her multiple times she saw us and she was busy but she was coming (that what the waited told us all) my sister n law simply said no ma'am we didn't call you multiple times but she still said yes yal did(with an attitude). Who even argues with the customers it could've been the simply as just ending it there but the waitress felt the need to give an attitude very childish and very unprofessional. Anyway, after that happened. I was still ready to order because the quicker we order food the quicker I can eat,leave & just could go home to my bed into my depression. Due to the waitress being so unwelcoming and rude my ex-husband was like you know what we don't need this service we can just go and I can pay for the drinks and she simply said no, y'all can just leave it and leave so we just left. I will never come back to this place especially with that rude waitress if it was your monthly or having a bad day, you could've just simply stepped away for a little bit and not continue arguing with people because that little encounter with others is pathetic, I still decided to roll out of bed and made the best of it and not take all my frustration out on other people that day when I had every reason to especially losing everything I had. We originally drove to Salgado's, but it was drive thru only, so Sol De Jalisco got our business instead. We tried their breakfast migas and they were not bad. I put their salsa on everything, and it made it all pretty tasty. Good salsa! The coffee was lacking, but most restaurants serve weak coffee. The service was great. Tonight we were going to have a nice Valentine's dinner until we realized we would be eating with a filthy dog in the restaurant. Not a service dog - a dirty white matted poodle type dog that stood at least 2 feet tall. We didn't even go any further through the door. If you allow dogs in the restaurant that are not service animals and are not groomed, my family will not be having dinner there. Ever. read more

We got the mixed fajita plate (Friday Special), the spinach enchiladas, and chimichanga plate. The two plates of fajitas came out smoking...but quickly died down and all that was on the plate were dry chicken, shrimp , and beef that you couldn't even chew. The peppers and onions were almost raw still. Seems like they precooked the food and have it in dishes sitting in the back and heat the plate up and put cold food on it. The chimichanga had the same tough steak in it, and the enchiladas were not cooked and the sauce was cold and lumpy. The server didn't seem to care about anything. Didn't refill our drinks, barely acknowledged us, and didn't bring the ticket. The dining room seemed clean, that's the only good thing I have to say. Queso and chips are good but nothing special. We ordered a Zapata plate and spinach enchiladas for our dinner. I loved the spinach enchiladas! The Zapata plate had a perfect seasoned taco and everything else was pretty good. Nice level of noise. Music is there and adds to The ambiance, but we can still have a conversation. The tables distract from the excellent ambiance. Tablecloths would really help this place. Love the light fixtures, stone on the wall and wood oval on the ceiling. We will come back :-) read more

I am so disappointed by Sol De Jalisco! Came here Friday night for dinner and was so underwhelmed. I ordered a salad with chicken and a side of guacamole. My salad had little fine chicken bones all in it- yuck. I understand that sometimes you may find a bone in your food but I was constantly picking them out and trying not to swallow them. Not cool. The guacamole never came. My husband had the fajita special and wasn't impressed. And we aren't picky people! After our food was delivered our waitress never came back by our table to check on drinks, etc. They weren't particularly crowded, either. We had considered ordering margaritas but the table next to us sent theirs back and our waitress never checked on us so we never had the opportunity. Again, I was so disappointed! I've been tricked! Bamboozled! Had! Sol de gets three stars from me because they have the most attentive servers I've ever encountered. I've been three times since moving to town for school and each time my server has been one of the sweetest people I've ever met. The two stars it lost was because of food. I don't understand. It's just not good food. Everyone raves about their chips and I understand that it's Tex Mex, not authentic Mexican food, but it's simply not good. I've had the enchiladas, chips & queso, crispy tacos, chicken and beef fajitas and, most recently, their breakfast tacos. They were all sort of... Bland. Especially the breakfast tacos. This isn't the worst food I've ever had but I certainly wouldn't return unless someone else was paying, as it is decently priced and you do get quite a bit of food for your money. The service at this place needs a lot of improvement! The food was very good and the place is very clean. I had the chicken tortilla soup and my wife had the vegetable fajitas. We were impressed with the quality of the food, however the waitresses seemed to be more interested in their smart phones, rather than the customers. I wanted to sit a the larger booth with my party of 4 but the hostess made some lame excuse that the table was still wet and sat us at a smaller booth. Not impressed with the service.
