Nobody can ever ever get my eyebrows right...they have been my BIGGEST insecurity for the longest time...well no more!! Kristy transformed my eyebrows! Truly!! I can not thank her enough! I had waxing (eyebrows, lower legs and full Brazilian) services completed by Kristy. She was great! Friendly and made sure I was comfortable during the process. She did a great job with the wax. Booked a follow up appointment immediately after she completed the services. I originally only booked for a Brazilian and my eyebrows but the night before my appointment added in the lower legs. Because of that I had some time in between the appointments, which I was aware about as I was booking. I love this salon. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by the professional and very pleasant ladies who welcome you in, it is just a great experience. My daughter and I have had a few perfect haircuts there. I have had my hair colored as well. I love it! But my daughters recent highlights from Haley and Madison for her sweet 16 are INCREDIBLE. Amazing work! My stylist fixed a complete disaster from another salon and got my hair to look exactly how I wanted it!

I had a body mud treatment, then a massage and a facial after that. It was wonderful. The massage was one of the best I've ever had. The woman that did the massage was great and the facial wowan was so too. Plus they didn't try to push product the whole time. I have gone back and purchased the face wash though, it's fantastic. The only thing I would suggest is if someone is there all morning long, offer a few grapes or something because I was starving when I left. All in all it was a great day. I have been coming here for the last 5 -6 years and I can honesty say that my fine wavy hair has never looked better . Shelly colors and trims it every 5 weeks and it looks smooth and silky with a rich multi dimensional chocolate color . I've also had some fun highlights of blue and green that I've really loved , although at the moment I'm back to classic brown . The staff is always welcoming and friendly and of course I love the two little canine greeters! One of my new favorites is Sherri's custom blended foundation . It makes my skin look natural but much better. It is long lasting and she blends it to your skin's needs. A five star experience through and through! I've never dyed my hair any color at all before, but for a long time I've wanted to dye my mousy brown hair bright BLUE! I've been looking around for the right place to do it for a while, since it can be an involved (and potentially disasterous) process with the bleaching and everything. I was comforted when I walked into Water's Edge because all of the stylists had fabulous hair (some with blue!) so I knew I was in knowledgeable hands. My stylist was Karen, and she listened carefully to what I wanted and gave some great advice. She got right to work and did the entire thing (bleach, heat, wash, dye, wash, cut, blow dry) in 2 hours and it looks fabulous. EXACTLY like I wanted it to look. She even custom made the color blue I wanted. Another stylist came over to help with the blow drying and I felt so pampered! Every staff member I met was sweet and friendly and knew so much about hair. After, she reccomended some really helpful products but I didn't feel like she was pushing them on me at all. As an aside, the location is comfortable and pretty and easy to get to from 93. I live in Boston, but I've already made 3 follow up appointments with Karen for color touch ups! I get better quality and better treatment at Water's Edge than I do on Newbury Street. Thanks ladies! read more

I've visited Waters edge Day Spa for my first time today. I can say I am extremely pleased! The Staff were extremely friendly and I felt relaxed upon entry to the spa. I got a tour of the place and Big hot caramel latte with my services. I received a spa pedicure and then immediately following, a custom facial from Sheri. Both were absolutely phenomenal services and I have not been this relaxed in five years since my honeymoon! Sheri was very pleasant and very knowledgeable. She has even created her own cosmetic line which I cannot wait to try! I cannot wait to go back and definitely plan on making this a regular place to visit for any spa services!! read more

I have been going here for a year now and I couldn't be happier! Knowledgeable staff, very affordable prices compared to other salons in the area, staff who clearly enjoys working there and great vibe! My fun purple additions stay put! All of my family now go here to get their hair done, all six of us. I also finally got a manicure from someone who knew what they were doing and who didn't get clip happy with my cuticles. Amazing talent. My girls and I have thick curly hair, they are the only ones that could tame it (and they teach you what products to use so you can get the same look at home). I went to this establishment for a root touch up due to a 5 week growth of gray hair (about 3/4 of an inch). On the surface, the salon appeared to be a high end, competent place until the "stylist" I got, a woman who is listed on their website not as a stylist but as a costumer service representative applied a BRIGHT RED color that not only ruined my recently done ash blond highlights but didn't even come close to matching the existing light brown base color to my shoulder length hair. I am sure she noticed this error as I had little opportunity to look in the mirror once the color was rinsed and she was cutting then blow drying my hair. The lightening was dim in the salon as well but I did think there was a color difference before I left but it wasn't until later in the day when I got home and looked in my mirror that I saw what others had said to me throughout the rest of the afternoon - (Wow, your hair is red!) and (Where did you go to get that done!!) (Oh, my !! your hair is messed up!!). When I returned the following day to see the "educator" Shelly for a much needed color correction (as I was expecting from an earlier communication with the owner), she, the owner approached me and said she "did not see any red color just gold" (like she is color blind or something). I should say here that there was no red, gold, or auburn in my color at all until they slopped in on to the roots of my hair - Anyway, she said that she could do a clarifying shampoo to lighten up the highlights if I wanted but then began a condescending speech about how "highlights grow out you know and this is what has happened". It was then that I got up to leave but not before requesting my money back as, even I knew, a simple clarifying shampoo will not take out the significant amount of the uneven streaks of red that bled onto other areas of my hair that I must now find someone else to try and fix. The owner's snotty attitude was surprisingly insulting. I wrongly assumed I would have been treated with respect and humility from those that screwed up so bad - so I am assuming she just did not have the knowledge base and/or temperament to handle this troubling quality of service issue nor the foresight to just take care of a justly unhappy customer who lives locally. This is not a salon I would recommend to anyone - they do not stand by their work - even very shoddy work, and they lie to your face like you (and the several other people who have already commented on how weird my hair now looks) don't have eyes! They will not make right what should be made right without trying to make you feel bad first and they will not admit gross errors even when they are obvious ones such as what I experienced. Never again will I be going to this hack job place that refuses to accept accountability for the negligence of its staff and neither should you. I guess the rude attitude when asked to fix this bright red hair cap should have been expected - after all, they did a terrible job in the first place, why should I have expected anything different! I am just very surprised and glad that they did returned my money (well over the posted price of the services I received by the way). read more

I went here awhile ago to get hair extensions put in. At the time I had green hair. During the consult I was told we would color my hair purple and the extensions would be colored different shades of purple. I was also told they would be 18" extensions. The day of my appointment I went in and I asked if we were going to color my hair and the stylist told me the best she could do was red. Not what I was looking for but okay I guess it will still look good. When she finished putting in the hair extensions I told her how happy I was with the length and then she started chopping away inches at a time until the hair was at my shoulders. Of course she was happy with her work so I didn't want to hurt her feelings. I ended up paying almost $900 for my hair that I hated! I couldn't style it without all the tape showing through. So I got an opinion from a stylist that I truly trusted and she told me to take them out and she would fix my color. I used oil to try to help remove them and my hair was falling out in clumps. I will never go back to this salon. It has taken so long to get my hair back to being healthy!! read more

I just got my eye brows waxed by Danielle. They are wayyyy too thin, which makes me furious because I have spent so long growing them out in the past to make them perfect. She also did them uneven so they look awful. I would not recommend going to this salon for an eye brow waxing. I am so disgusted in the ability of Estheticians in this area. I went in with my 24th bday gift certificate and wanted to have a relaxing service done. I decided on a scalp treatment and a nice blow dry. Its really pretty outside and in, however the seating in the waiting room is very uncomfortable (old wood bench type of seating) . The woman who took me up was a little on the heavy side, with short blonde hair (as I'm sure it changes many times being a hair dresser and all) . The first thing she did was bring me to the shampoo bowl which was horrible. They are free standing bowls and basically everytime she was doing manipulations on my head the bowl was pushing down very hard on my shoulders. And not to mention I could barely feel any pressure what so ever. Being a hair dresser myself you really gotta get in there and work the scalp for it to be called a "scalp treatment". And then she put me under the dryer which apparently sits with all its weight on top of the head so that ur teeth chatter and her head hurts and almost burns from the heat. But before she even turned it on she smacked me on the bridge of my nose with the front of it. So I'm sitting there, my nose hurting, my head burning and hot, teeth chattering for twenty minutes and not once did she come to check on me???? and the blow dry wow... it was not even fully dry so it frizzed out a half hour later... all in all this place sucked.
