I while personally think you're going to find better Joann's not too far from here, this one isn't too bad. It's still a good size, so it'll have everything you're looking for, it's just a bit unorganized. I needed some fabric that was only available at this store anywhere close to where I live. The fabric choices were massive and there were plenty of clearance deals to be had at good prices. I am a newbie at shopping at a fabric store so it was a bit overwhelming and I couldn't find any store help other than the lady handling the long line at the cutting table. I finally found 2 fabrics that would work for my camper renovation project and I headed to the cutting table to take a number and wait my turn. The lady at the cutting table had help now but this lady wasn't nearly as pleasant as the first cutter. Anyway I finally had my fabric cut and headed to the checkout where I encountered the lady who obviously hates being there. The employee at checkout didn't smile, acknowledge customers or exchange any pleasantries. Other than the poor service ( which is a biggie ) I liked the quality of the fabric I purchased and the prices were good. I can't foresee anymore fabric shopping in my future but if there is I will go to the Boulder store to see if there is more staff to help me and if they are more pleasant. read more

Purchased a melt wax machine since it was on sale along with the wax, got to the front and paid the cashier "Leah" doesn't look like she want to be at the front with the attitude she was having along with not wanting to price match since tags said they were cheaper but she claimed they weren't on sale since they didn't have a "red tag" ... so I paid full price then my boyfriend was upset so he told me to go back so they can do a price match that it says on their tag .... went back in the sane girl that rang up out rolled her eyes at my boyfriend ... if you don't like working retail or having a bad day there's no need to give attitude to someone else I myself work retail and I think everyone knows you're the LAST PERSON they see so they will remember you ... but we did get the problem fixed but still think customer service needs work it's should be the stores main priority I been a manager before I know what it is and what it's like .... read more

I'm gonna have to go with just OK on this one. The store is large and offers a lot of things but the prices seem a little high for some stuff and the organization is lacking. The customer service is terrible there is never anyone to help you or they are new and don't know. It's bigger then the one on Colorado but at least those ladies are nice and seem to know where stuff is. I asked about ribbon I'd bought there took a different color up to them and asked if they had any more...the girl was like "we don't carry that brand I don' think" Seriously? They have 80% off on selected summer sale items. So I picked up a towel from that section and bunch of other jewelry supplies since I'm a jewelry maker. 15 out of 12 items in my cart was not priced. There's no check price stands like Michaels stores, so I decided I d figure it out during check out and decide then. After I payed for everything I realized most items that were marked down didn't come out correct during check out. So I reached out to Carly, to explain she said "I'm not gonna argue with you over a dollar" out of nowhere. She made me return the item then buy back with the actual 80% off. First of all, it's not my fault that the store marks items down and it doesn't come out that way during check out. It's basically lying to your customers. Second, I wasn't upset I just wanted it to be corrected. We all know unemployment rate is worse than ever right now so I don't understand why they hire people that don't appreciate their jobs and try to be helpful instead of giving an attitude to the customers. She could simply say "I'm sorry, we probably didn't change it on our system let me fix that for you". Even though this store makes everything hard for me to find what I'm looking for, I still go and shop from there but not if I'm gonna get attitude on top of it, and the 2 stars is because I liked their items. It's just sad. Looks like I'm not the only one that is upset about this situation (a comment month before mine). So please keep your thing together Jo-Ann because you are gonna lose bunch of customers this way. read more

There is a lady at the cut counter that is SO MEAN. I'm sick of going in there and being talked to like I'm a bratty teenager that doesn't know what a yard is. I am not a teenager, by the way. I am an adult and this woman treats me like a child every time I go up to get fabric. It aggravates me EVERY time and she is ALWAYS working there. Cut-counter ladies are supposed to be super friendly and pretend to be interested in what craft you are attempting, not look at you like you're stupid. read more

I was apprehensive at first to do my shopping at this store because of the negative reviews I'd read. I ended up going anyway because they were having an enormous pre-halloween sale, & I had a coupon to use. I was so pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I was doing a huge shopping trip, redecorating an entire living area, & I'm about the most indecisive person ever. So, I was in the store FOREVER. It was pre-Halloween, & the store was packed with mostly mommies focused on hurriedly preparing cute costumes for their little Halloween monsters. At one point while browsing close to the cutting table there were ladies around the table and down the aisle waiting for their number to be called. All I heard the entire time, was the cutters being so polite to each person they came into contact with. They all spoke with a smile, & were oriented to the needs of the individual customer they were dealing with. I was thoroughly impressed. Maybe because of the expectations I had preconceived, but I would definitely shop here again. read more

I needed a few items to finish a project that I was working on. I knew the store would be closing soon, I hesitated if I should even try and go but I HAD TO FINISH that night. I arrived 10 minutes before close. As I was racing around the employees offered to help in anyway . They took their time, never rushed me, made sure that I had everything that I needed and helped me save money. I LOVE THIS LOCATION. After my experience at the Lakewood location on Colfax I refused to ever shop at Joann's again. I gave this location a chance and they were AMAZING. read more

I made a purchase at this store today. The coupon i attempted to use did not work. I asked to speak to the manager, because i read all the exclusions and what i bought was not on there. The manager came up and stated it was the stores discretion and that the coupon stated that. It did not. She then walked away and would not speak to me. She spoke to the cashier through the headset and the cashier relayed her message. This is awful customer service! I only went to the store because of the coupon. Service? Wow, you have to be kidding. Three late teens or early 20's at the register counter when asked about double sided tape they looked at me as if they had never heard of it. Didn't bother to assist by getting someone who knew so I wandered the store looking for it myself. Spoke to an older woman at the fabrics counter-she couldn't be bothered. A different woman teaching a class in the back corner was obviously extremely annoyed about me asking her. I left and bought nothing. When I got home and advised my wife I wasn't able to purchase what she wanted she let me know she wouldn't ever step foot in this store again. read more

Nice staff but the lines are horrendous. I'll run in real fast grab something in a couple mins and then I get to the line and wait 10 full minutes just to checkout. Always some old lady or ladies holding up the one cashier they have disputing coupons. Usually a manager is called and just makes it even worse. This makes 5-6 people have to wait forever to buy something. Terrible wait times. This needs to change. It's also why I use amazon when I know what to buy in advance. Joann has lost money because of this. Joann has ancient efficiency when it comes to paying for simple items. read more

I went to get some yarn here the other day and I was surprised that the prices for their yarn was cheaper than Michaels. They have a larger section of yarn too, with various brands and material I had not seen before. However, I was bummed that they didn't have the color from a specific brand I needed. Also, their book selection isn't nearly as large as Michaels. But I am giving this place 4 stars mainly because cheaper is always better. I was still able to pick some different colored yarn for a good price. read more

The only reason I visit this store is because it's in a convenient location, and it has everything I usually need for my baking projects. The customer service is terrible. Discrimination or plain ignorance, I'm not really quite sure how to categorize my treatment here. I am a young girl and the workers treat me like I'm an idiot that doesn't deserve respect. I visited the store during Easter Sunday. Waiting in line, I could listen to the cashier make nice small talk with the customers, and as they began to head off she cheerily said, "Have a great Easter!" Now when I walked up to the cash register, she stayed silent. She rang up my items, I paid, and then she paused before saying, "Have a nice... uhmmm... holiday." AWKWARD. I gave her a look of disbelief and began to walk away, but not before hearing her happily greet the next customer... At the cut counter, another worker did her job. She cut me my cloth and printed out my ticket. However, once she folded up my fabric, she literally shoved it at me and gave me a dirty stare. Rude much. Both of these incidents dealt with significantly older women, which is why I may see their rude treatment as ignorance. I recently went to the store and was treated kindly by a young woman in her early twenties probably. This store definitely needs to review its customer service. read more

Ugh. Lots of stuff but nobody to help you. Just spent 30 minutes wandering around in there and walked out without buying anything. There were two ladies at the cutting table with several people waiting and one lone cashier. The cashier tried to help me but when I asked for "foam core" I was sent to the upholstery foam all the way at the back of the store. That's when I got frustrated and left. read more

Awful! There was a long, long wait at the cutting table of 20 minutes. Only one person was working and she left the table twice to check on fabric. The cashier forgot to put all of my items in the bag. I had to drive a second trip of 28 miles to pick up the missing items. No apology by the staff. Why she put the items ($27) on the back counter is a mystery. read more
