If I could give this place zero stars, I would. It goes way beyond their food and coffee which is way below average. First, I downloaded their app, which says you get a free coffee on your first order. Placed an order for two coffees. Check out. No free coffee. Ok. Second, get a text with a 25% off offer on the app. Try to use it THE NEXT DAY. Load my cart. Offer Expired! Go to store. Manager says app only. "I'm aware" I reply. "But it doesn't work ". I had a great experience here! After a Pilates class i came to get some breakfast and read. For the first time i tried the salmon omelet! It is warm and flavorful fish and the dill cream cheese they pair with it is so good! its a great burst of flavor with every bite. The bread pieces they served with it were warm, very good with butter and jam. I also enjoyed my iced chai latte. We were excited to find Crema Gourmet in the heart of Brickell on our way to get coffeee. I was craving a turkey club sandwich and surprisingly it's hard to find ! The porch was crowded with young , energetic , working class people ( and dogs ) so that's always a good sign! The food looked really good in pictures, as well as plated. The quality was not great . The bread was hard to chew. The turkey was very processed lunch meat , but there was not enough on the sandwich to worry about the nitrates , lol ! I subbed cheddar for the Swiss cheese , and unfortunately , my 3rd bite into the sandwich, I bit into plastic!!! I pulled it out of my mouth and it looked like the cheese wrapper ( like you would see on a slice of Kraft American "cheese"). I opened the sandwich to make sure there wasn't anymore plastic , although it was a pretty big piece, so , I'm not sure how the sandwich maker missed that ?! I didn't let that deter me from eating , as I was really hungry and really craving a turkey club sandwich!!! The flavor of the sammy was delicious. It had a truffle aoli sauce on it . I really wish the sandwich was better quality ( and obviously came without plastic lol) because this is a great spot with indoor outdoor seating that you can walk to, easily! I usually have good experiences with food at Crema but their drinks, especially those with non-dairy milk, are not great in my opinion. My husband got a coffee and I got a matcha latte. Aside from a large selection of baked snacks, delicious coffees, espressos, refreshing and rejuvenating shakes, I'm going to tell you my one favorite thing about this spot. And it is the breakfast sandwich! Seriously, the bread is warm, fresh, not too hard, not too soft just blends in perfect with the egg, cheese, and bacon inside which is served in just the right proportion too. I really enjoy a perfectly balanced sandwich where all the flavors just blend in so well together! Not too salty, not too sweet, and definitely not boring at all. This is a great spot for breakfast! Luckily my friends and I found a table to fit the 6 of us, because this spot is popular for tourists and locals alike. My friend and I split the Greek Omelette, the Peanut Butter Power Smoothie, and I had my own almond milk latte. I live in the building above and decided to come down to work for a little while. Ordered breakfast and a coffee and then had to get on a meeting so ordered a coffee online as I didn't have time to wait in line before my meeting. I realized my meeting was going to run over so I politely asked one of the waitresses if my coffee was ready & if she minded bringing it to me since i couldn't step away. She told me yes it's ready, but then never brought it over. 30 minutes later I was able to step away and asked the counter about it. They very rudely said "well it's been sitting here, but you never told us anything so here you go." And then gave me a cold cappuccino - didn't apologize for the miscommunication with the waitress or offer to make a hot one. Just handed it to me and turned his back to me in a very dismissive manner. I get its counter service & me being on my meeting is not their problem, but I politely asked for a simple request and was treated like a huge inconvenience. Dec. 9.2025 - Breakfast items are good here, also, their açaí bowls, & the coffee is delicious my fave bean Illy. However, the barista at the Brickell location working on this day had very poor customer service. Given the season, I made a request to have crushed peppermint added to my coffee beverage, I even said I'd pay an up charge for the topping. The barista anxiously and with authority responded with an absolute refusal, making it seem like the request was an impossibility, given I did not order the exact drink the peppermint is used for; I personally don't like a lot of syrup and sugar in my coffee, therefore I ordered a cortado. I did not want to make a big deal about it, but I felt it was so unnecessary and malicious customer service to deny a simple request, I had to drink my drink without that special simple touch just because he didn't want to work with the customer. I frequent multiple Crema locations and have been a loyal customer for years, and I also promote it to friends and family. Though the open faced sandwich was delicious, truth be told my experience was dampened. It takes someone special to deliberately take pleasure in making sure you deny something simply just because you can. The barista was also shouting and expressing personal issues and turmoil with co-workers in plain sight of customers. Eating out and supporting small local businesses is supposed to be a good experience which includes small details and gestures.
