**Avoid if you value honest service** Went in for a smoked salmon bagel and a smoothie. The on-site "manager" rang me up for two smoothies without asking (which was strange since I was there alone), taking the total to around forty dollars. When I questioned it, he admitted it was a "mistake" and claimed he'd refunded the extra charge, but refused to provide any receipt showing the adjustment, saying their system "doesn't print that." He was arrogant and condescending doubling down repeatedly, even offering to cancel my entire order when I kept asking for a receipt showing the amount was refunded. When he canceled my order, again he failed to provide a receipt of the cancelation. Only after I started recording did he finally get someone else, a cashier, to actually fix it in seconds. The manager was confrontational, defensive, and at one point even grabbed my shoulder to push me toward the door. Extremely poor customer service. Owners, you may want to retrain this manager on basic honesty and how to treat customers. This experience left a really bad taste. I've lived in many places, and this is by far one of the worst experiences I've had dining out. Stay away from this guy. read more

I had a great experience here! After a Pilates class i came to get some breakfast and read. For the first time i tried the salmon omelet! It is warm and flavorful fish and the dill cream cheese they pair with it is so good! its a great burst of flavor with every bite. The bread pieces they served with it were warm, very good with butter and jam. I also enjoyed my iced chai latte. We were excited to find Crema Gourmet in the heart of Brickell on our way to get coffeee. I was craving a turkey club sandwich and surprisingly it's hard to find ! The porch was crowded with young , energetic , working class people ( and dogs ) so that's always a good sign! The food looked really good in pictures, as well as plated. The quality was not great . The bread was hard to chew. The turkey was very processed lunch meat , but there was not enough on the sandwich to worry about the nitrates , lol ! I pulled it out of my mouth and it looked like the cheese wrapper ( like you would see on a slice of Kraft American "cheese"). I didn't let that deter me from eating , as I was really hungry and really craving a turkey club sandwich!!! The flavor of the sammy was delicious. It had a truffle aoli sauce on it . However, the barista at the Brickell location working on this day had very poor customer service. Given the season, I made a request to have crushed peppermint added to my coffee beverage, I even said I'd pay an up charge for the topping. The barista anxiously and with authority responded with an absolute refusal, making it seem like the request was an impossibility, given I did not order the exact drink the peppermint is used for; I personally don't like a lot of syrup and sugar in my coffee, therefore I ordered a cortado. I did not want to make a big deal about it, but I felt it was so unnecessary and malicious customer service to deny a simple request, I had to drink my drink without that special simple touch just because he didn't want to work with the customer. I frequent multiple Crema locations and have been a loyal customer for years, and I also promote it to friends and family. Though the open faced sandwich was delicious, truth be told my experience was dampened. It takes someone special to deliberately take pleasure in making sure you deny something simply just because you can. The barista was also shouting and expressing personal issues and turmoil with co-workers in plain sight of customers. Eating out and supporting small local businesses is supposed to be a good experience which includes small details and gestures. Ordered breakfast and a coffee and then had to get on a meeting so ordered a coffee online as I didn't have time to wait in line before my meeting. She told me yes it's ready, but then never brought it over. 30 minutes later I was able to step away and asked the counter about it. The view is super pretty and on this particular day it was nice and breezy. The servers bring the food out promptly but don't expect to be attended to very closely.
